[Rosegarden-devel] Problems with editing wiki
Hi Chaps Just thought I'd try out my ability to edit the wiki and I am having the same problems as Tehom with editing. I log in and it seems to be OK but when I try to edit a page it just says the source is read-only. Tom I notice that you succeeded in editing, what browser did you use. I just tried firefox4 and chromiumm but I'm happy to use w3m if that would work. Re: [Rosegarden-devel] Problems With Rosegarden Using Qsynth or Fluidsynth When Using PulseAudio Instead Of JACK
I've found this conversation to be extremely interesting and helpful.
Perhaps it could be dumped onto to the Rosegarden wiki?
I've only used Rosegarden sporadically recently (for testing builds etc)
and am constantly depressed when I try to get noise out of it. And even
more depressed when I try to get jack to work. I was not aware of the
respawning of pulseaudio and really not interested enough to work through
all the guff to get it working again.
Cheers

[Rosegarden-devel] Editing the rosegarden wiki
Hi all Just experimented to see if I can now edit the rosegarden wiki. I can. Yay! So just wondering if I put in some time on it in it over the next while, what needs doing? One thing that I have been wondering: I took out many of the little sections from the main page as they were on separate pages that are linked from within the help in the program. Is this the best design? I've been thinking that the wiki page *should* be one big page but the separate pages also need to exist individually so as to not confuse users seeking help. Thoughts. Re: [Rosegarden-devel] Editing the rosegarden wiki
Ah Yes but for a while I could not edit the wiki. Something strange and possibly spooky. Ok, I feel energetic. I will start reassembling the wiki but keep separate "help" bits for the online help. Or perhaps it should be expanded in the accompanying documentation? Could the online documentation or tooltips be helpful in this situation? Re: [Rosegarden-devel] Patch review: make it easier to select a text item.
Not sure how easy it would be to implement: You have a crowd of possible selection suspects; you right click to get a context menu which shows a list of them and you can then select the one you want. So that would probably entail layering (as in image programs) each element one on top of the other so you can separate them out in such a context menu. Or what about a magnifiying glass effect so that the pixels are larger (or more of them) so it is easier to get your mouse on the right element? Shelagh On 23 November 2015 at 10:23, D.
