It's possible, Mr Worf. I'm not feeling the connection, though. Never
considered it until reading this post.

Is Dr.Who a rip off of Mr. Peabody?

Let's take a look at both:

 First appearance:
 Mr.Peabody - 1959
 Dr. Who - 1963

 Mr. Peabody - Talking dog
Dr. Who - Talking alien with a talking robot dog

Mr. Peabody - Travels in the Wayback machine, and gets into adventures in
 time
Dr. Who - Travels in the Tardis in time back and forth across the universe

Mr. Peabody - Visited several historical people including Shakespear,
 Cleopatra, Sir Isaac Newton

Dr. Who - Visited Shakespear, and many others

I'm sure there's more evidence, but what do you think?

I didn't make the connection until today. They played a clip of the show on
NPR today and it popped into my head.
