Re: CSBurns

2010-07-04 Thread Renee
I bought the first one in a plastic bottle. I have bought nano-silver at a
health show in a plastic bottle. It did make it SO much easier on my poor
baby because putting that aloe on I had to touch the burn and it hurt him so
much. I was trying to think of some better way to apply it when it popped
into my head that a spray of CS would be great, as I'd read that CS was so
good for burns. I'd never used it before, so actually my first experience
with CS is what convinced me to never be without it.

The spray meant I didn't have to touch his burns, and the CS helped take the
pain away more than aloe did, plus it healed it I'd say 5 times faster than
aloe! Third degree burns totally healed in 2 weeks. Of course this was a
young kitten so cell growth may have been faster than it would be for an
adult, still it was impressive. Especially seeing it return so smooth and
normal colored.

solution quick because she's going mad with the itching - as soon as it
has only begun healing - she digs in again. An E collar won't help as
she goes outside. Been there done that. Is there SUPER DUPER HEAVY DUTY

Although many people use aloe for burns it is astringent so I don't know why.
Lavender oil is much more effective, keeps the skin soft and moist and also
engenders healing. I would think a combination of CS and lavender oil would do
wonders for burns.

Several weeks ago one of my cats jumped up onto a hot closed barbeque lid. I
rushed to put cs on his feet with a cotton pad, but he wasn't having any of it.
So, I poured some into the bottom of a plastic cat carrier (about 1/2 inch
deep) and put him in there for 10 minutes. After 2 minutes he settled down and
just stood in the cs. That was the only treatment he got. His feet didnt'
blister except one small spot up between two of his pads on one foot. You have
to think that if it blistered up there, that the bottom of his pads would have
really been bad had we not treated him right away with cs.

After the third day I smacked my forehead and ran and got CS in a
spray bottle. The relief was almost immediate, and new skin started to grow
back within a few days, from the outside edges in. You could just see
improvement every day. It 2 weeks it was totally healed over. Hardly a scar
at all on the half inch side--just a fine line now. The other side, where the
burn was over an inch wide, there is about a half inch wide scar at the top
which narrows down to almost nothing at his 'knee' area down to his ankle. The
one side you have to part his hair to even see the scar, on the bad side you
can see the scar as no hair ever grew back (he's 7 now) but the skin over the
scar is totally smooth and normal color. Not puckered like normal burn scar
tissue.

I would never be without CS after that, and bought my own CS maker
after seeing what it did for him.

By all means bring it along and just put it in one of your bags and keep it
handy next to your bed. If there nurses are anything in your area like they are
in ours it takes them some time to even come to the room when you want them to
from being overworked so I wouldn't be concerned about them even seeing you
take it. I had my mom put it in my dad's water cup. You might want to spray it
on the remote, phone, and anything you will be touching. Staph infection is way
to common in our hospitals up here.  After I got my parents to start taking it
while in the hospital they never developed any infection from their surgeries.

I tried the Pain Free knee exercises and they did reduce the pain. I told my DR
about the exercises and he said great you need to do them even after surgery.

I bought my tree colorant (paint) from an East Coast outfit, so I don't think
the yellow pine needles are only common on the West Coast. I saw Christmas
trees shipped from North Carolina that were sprayed with the colorant. I talked
to a worker at a huge Montana tree farm who said they do not spray their pines
until just before harvest. He used a tractor that sprayed colorant on ten rows
at a time.

One year I sprayed spruce trees with a blue colorant sample, enough for about
50 trees. A commercial buyer followed me and tagged every tree I just sprayed.
Every spruce looked like a blue spruce.

2010-07-04 Thread Sara Mandal-Joy
my son's night care provider saved our house from burning when he picked
up a flaming (hot oil, was covered, heating up for popcorn - when I took
the lid off it exploded) cast iron pan in his bare hands
and ran it out of the house. The burns were extremely severe on his
hands and worse on his arms, where the flames were jumping up directly
on his skin. He should have gone to the ER, would have been put in the
burn unit, but wouldn't. Doesn't have insurance. It was the most
severe kind of burn, totally numb
for first hours. First he soaked them in ice water (to stop the ongoing
deep tissue burning). I finally convinced him to use cs with ice. He
kept them immersed for the first four hours. As the feeling began to
return he couldn't tolerate the ice, so just used the cs. I wanted to
coat them with antibiotic creme, but he couldn't tolerate anything like
that, so we just kept spraying it with cs - which was very soothing. First
couple days were round the clock spraying and immersions in cs. They
healed amazingly well. There was/is some scarring, but these severe
burns were within two weeks basically healed. Doctor later told me
that they use a silver ointment in the burn unit - it is standard
treatment, for both healing, preventing infection, and soothing. Mike
couldn't have tolerated the ointment, but good old homemade cs was sure
a godsend. Sara

some but not enough) when I found this NuStock. She immediately began sleeping

I've used Mountain Rose products and they are good. I have also used Coso
Green Clay internally and been happy the clays from www.imaninatural.com Here
is an information sheet they offer...

http://imaninatural.com/pdf/Pelotherapy101.pdf

I have used clay therapeutically for years for all kinds of things both
internal and external. I offer one word of caution, if you are going to take
it internally start with a low dosage (think tip of a knife) and build up.
Clay absorbs and swells and if you have any physical inclination toward
constipation it could cause a blockage. I found taking the knife tip required
2 capsules of Triphala to avoid a problem.

One thing I found when I went looking for the DE was the price spread for Food
Grade DE is very wide and since it is heavy some s/h charges are actually more
than the product. So you might want to look around.

Joy,

Try Grapefruit Seed Extract (NOT Grapeseed Extract; they are two different
things). People on my natural rearing dog list use CS religiously but they
also know its limits. They have used GSE with great success.

The two best brands are Citricidal and Nutribiotics. Nutribiotics is the
Citricidal diluted in glycerin. They tell you this on the Citricidal
website. You may want to buy the Nutribiotics because it's cheaper, and
there's less chance of injuries because GSE is quite caustic.

Lavender oil is one of the few EOs that can be used full strength. I just
put it directly on the burned area. It feels cool and before long any
discomfort has gone away. I have used this for 1st and 2nd degree burns.

I find lavender oil to be a medicine chest in a bottle!

PS: just be sure you have pure lavender essential oil. I use it also for
bruises. My Mother kept falling in her later years and I would just put the
lavender EO on the bruises and they would re-absorb quickly.

CSRing Worm - Neem Oil

2010-07-04 Thread Paula Samuels Anthis
Joy,

NEEM Oil is fungicide, miticide, bacteriocidal and so very emolliant and
soothing.  I purchase Green Light at the feed store for around $14 for about a
pint.  We keep a quart spray bottle of about 1/4 cup neem and filled with pure
water.  Just spray or otherwise wet the affected and surrounding areas.

http://www.everydaysolutionsrx.com/ringworm/

It is no longer labeled ALL Organic but now for Organic Gardening.    When
I called Green Light about the other ingredients and was told they are all
other oils to help the Neem disperse in water.  I am VERY chemically sensitive
and the Neem has never bothered me in any way except making my skin softer and
stopp itchiness in the winter.  I have used it full strength on bites and on my
cats when they get in a scrape with an invading feline.  The per rescue home
here in our small town now uses Neem and I am supplying CS for topical use and
in their water with great results being reported.

I hope  and pray your little feline friend will regain healthy skin soon.

Re: CSBurns - spray bottles

2010-07-04 Thread Rowena
Jane, I have several plastic spray bottles, but one of the things I
bought when I first started making CS was a little glass perfume spray
bottle. This is convenient to carry around in one's handbag, to use
unobtrusively, and to store the liquid in glass, though the tube down
the bottle is plastic, of course.

It might be that a plastic spray attachment on top of a plastic bottle
might be transferred to a glass bottle of a similar size if one could be
found. Heavier, though, of course.

Rowena

Now that's a good idea to have some in a spray bottle - do you use a
plastic spray bottle? Is it OK to have the CS in plastic (my stock is
in a glass bottle)

worked. And without scarring. When I was store manager for Eckerd Drugs, a

slipped and dunked her hand in the boiling oil up to halfway of her elbow.
The skin had started slipping. I got one of the girls to get me a bag of

CSCS... Cataract Questions

2010-07-04 Thread larry tankersley
 Hey folks,
If you will, anyone that's using bright eyes, clear-eyes or what ever for
Cataracts, I'd sure like to hear of your experience.
Also, some time ago there was a thread on DMSO/CS, etc. that had been used for
cataracts. I can't find what I thought I'd saved. I'd appreciate it if some one
would post such again.
Due to the modalities used for dealing with a retinal, macular detachment I now
have 20/70 vision in that eye primarily due to the rapid increase of the
cataract.
A lens replacement is very risky after having the previous operation.
I must do something as I can't see worth a flip, i.e. depth perception etc.
No doubt this is but a small wrinkle in ones life in the all... and, I sure
would like to smooth this one out a bit.
 TIA for any feedback.

Hi There Larry - I have held cataracts at bay for about four years

MSM drops in the same way.Brite Eyes 111 - eye drops twice per
day, last drop before bed at night - Life Extension - Ft Lauderdale -
i...@lifeextion,com - also when I wash my face, with my eyes closed, I
splash water very quickly with my fingers on the eye lids this is for
blood circulation of the eyes. I have found all very successful for
me. When I am in a place where I can get young water coconuts then I
put this water in my eyes, it has to be a young coconut the old ones
do not do the job, so to do this one you have to live under a coconut

Every time I go to have my eyes checked I am asked what am I doing -
my reply - if I told you you would laugh at me - one told me he would
never put anything in his eyes an (eye doctor) did not tell him to put
in, my reply was, then you will never know what I do As per

Hi There Larry - I have held cataracts at bay for about four years
plus - with EIS DMSO drops, bottles of this I have all over the
house, bedside table, TV watching area, computer room, kitchen, I put
these in all day, can't use enough of them - Make my own - also use
MSM drops in the same way.Brite Eyes 111 - eye drops twice per
day, last drop before bed at night - Life Extension - Ft Lauderdale -
i...@lifeextion,com - also when I wash my face, with my eyes closed, I
splash water very quickly with my fingers on the eye lids this is for
blood circulation of the eyes. I have found all very successful for
me. When I am in a place where I can get young water coconuts then I
put this water in my eyes, it has to be a young coconut the old ones
do not do the job, so to do this one you have to live under a coconut
tree like I do !
Every time I go to have my eyes checked I am asked what am I doing -
my reply - if I told you you would laugh at me - one told me he would
never put anything in his eyes an (eye doctor) did not tell him to put
in, my reply was, then you will never know what I do As per
usual everyone wants to know, everyone wants a quick fix, and few are
prepared to do the work Try all, or any, as you are guided to
do - they all work

Regards
Sandee

 Hi Neville,

Taking a guess here . The buffer may be a solution made up to be a fixed
pH for testing and monitoring and adjusting the pH meter. From memory,
watching others setting up and calibrating pH electrodes and meters,
there were two such solutions at or near the ends of the upper and lower
range of the desired measurement range. But usually only one solution is
sufficient for checking, once the meter and electrode is set.

A buffer solution is chosen to be a stable pH even though it has aged or
been stuffed up in other ways. It should be a steady, reliable known pH.

 OK,

I use it full strength for burns...it stopped the pain from splashed

I also applied it to a burn on my thumb where I tried to pick up the lid

of that pain, and I did have a deep brand that was tender for a couple
days, but it healed quickly, though the burned skin sloughed off. Don't
remember using any CS on this burn.

Also applied it when a pet bit through a thumbnail and into the nail
bed. It also quickly stopped that pain. Used CS after the pain stopped.

Because of the speed of pain relief and healing lavender essential oil
is always what I reach for FIRST.

CSburning feet

2010-07-04 Thread Shirley Reed
Burning feet can be caused by a lack of pantothenic acid which is a B
vitamin. You may want to get her to use a 500mg. dose just to check it out.
If it works, then she should work at reducing the dose. But she must be very
careful to take a complete and high potency B supplement with the pantothenic
acid. If the B's get too far out of balance she will get some very unwelcome
side effects. These include emotional disturbances which can be severe (anger,
depression, whatever) and extreme fatigue. These clear up in a couple of weeks
or so after stopping the overdosing. This if from personal experience. Best
wishes with this. pj

I have used Cansee which is the Russian preparation for cataracts. I think
it is from Russia. Originally I got it for my husband since prednisone is

wonderful feeling drops for eyes I have ever used. Really made the eyes feel
good. I can't say about cataracts since I don't have that condition. There
are slightly different drops that contain the same active ingredients as the
CanSee, but don't cost as much. I have not used them.Did the Larry

that's not too personal. pj I did not know this man personally but recall

CSTick Bite

2010-07-04 Thread Del

Hi:

My wife, Jane, was bitten by a tick while visiting her mother on Shelter
Island, one of the Lyme capitals of the world.
Anybody out there with knowledge of what should be done immediately to deal
with the possibility (probability?) of infection with Lyme?
My understanding is that if you catch it early, it is easier to eliminate,
but doctors here in Vermont don't know much about dealing with Lyme.
There is actually too much information on the web, if you can believe that,
she wants an answer fast and my head is spinning with the many Lyme articles
I have already read, none of which were targeted at what to do right away if
bitten.

We were told here that you have to wait four weeks to test to see if you
have been exposed to Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme spirochete), and then the
test (not sure what test they are talking about) costs $200, is NOT covered
by Medicare or our health insurance, and may or may not be reliable.
Anybody know about that?

Thanks,
Del

Re: CSTick Bite

2010-07-04 Thread Malcolm
Hi Del,

I live in northern California, the western Lyme capital, so I'm very
familiar with Lyme disease and the protocols.

First, DON'T wait for a month til they do a test; if the health care
providers you've contacted don't seem to know much about Lyme - they
probably don't! The usual test is called the Western Blot test, and
it's not particularly accurate, giving about 15% false negatives.
Particularly if a person has been infected with the spirochete for less
than three months it's about useless, the infection doesn't show up, and
even after that it's easy to miss detection.

So you're right, go after it right away, and don't count on the test
results to tell you if she {still} has it. Also it isn't so common; not
every tick bite will carry Lyme or Bartonella; no percentages on this,
especially in that neck of the woods, but it's not a sure thing by a
long shot.

One of the best antibiotics recommended for Lyme (Borrelia Burgdorferii)
is Bactrim DS (DS for double strength), another brand is Septra; its
generic name is Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim, and there is a very small
chance your wife may have a reaction to it. Not many do, but be aware
that very occasionally someone will. It's possible to find sources for
this antibiotic online without a prescription or you may be able to get
it from a doc who is more familiar with the whole Lyme scene. If it
were me - and it has been - I would take two Bactrim DS per day for AT
LEAST ten days. If I'd shown the characteristic rash around the bite
area I'd definitely do it for thirty days minimum.

You can also take CS by mouth, about an ounce every couple of hours for
the first day or so, then slow down to maybe three or four glugs a day
and one more just before bed; This will help, but the ABX are critical.

HTH,
Malcolm

For tick bites, rattlesnake bites, any insect bites etc., you want to use
something to prevent the venom from circulating throughout the system.

If you have a Tennant Biomodulator, continually circle the area in a wide
berth. The electric current disables the poison.

Also make a pack out of bentonite clay (or any clay that has drawing power)
and colloidal silver.

Enzyme cream might work too. Systemic enzymes (to eat up the poison) is also
a good idea.

CSBrickley's New Knee

2010-07-04 Thread Paula Samuels Anthis
Brickey,

To do the knew knee replacement$, all the muscles must be relaxed enough for
the surgeon to manipulate the old joint out and get the replacement into proper
position.  With that kind of muscle relaxation the breathing muscles are
essentially nonfunctioning.  So a tube sized to the patient's weight is
lubricated with a water soluable anesthetizing lubricant and inserted through
the mouth with the end going below the vocal cords.  There is even a little
balloon circling the tube which is inflated to form an air tight seal so the
anesthesia machine can sense how much air to introduce with each breath it
gives the sleeping patient.  Some folks have no after effects from this
intubation while others may have a minor sore throat for a few days.  Now that
I know about EIS/CS I would take a spray bottle with me to spray a little
before surgery and several times afterwards also.  I hope this was not too
graphic.  If it was me, I would want as much info
as possible - for reassurance and to figure out the post operative feelings
also.
I pray you have as much relief as my father got from his knee replacement at
age 79.  He awoke saying It doesn't hurt anymore  and later explained that
the intensity of the over 40 years of pain was just gone even though there
was postoperative pain.  He spent two days instead of a week in rehab and was
determined to get that leg fully functional again - -  and I am glad to say
that he did!  He was literally a different person for the rest of his life.
And I had a Daddy who could converse and share instead of fighting the pain.
It was wonderful for him and for us, his family.

If I were having ANY surgery I would probably spray full body with EIS/CS a few
times a day before surgery to lower the number of skin bacteria and then keep
spraying after the operation as much as possible to thwart any hospital
acquired infection.  Just be careful not to saturate the dressing or get the
wound soaked if they tell you to keep it dry.  I have a very fine mist sprayer
that barely wets the skin.  That kind would probably be best in the wound area
until you are allowed to get the wound wet in the shower.  Hubby is reminding
me that the smaller the bottle, usually the finer the mist.  We have a 2 ounce
and I tightened the 8 ounce adjustable spray to a very fine mist also.

Blessing to YOU BRINKEY !  We pray that every act and action toward you before,
during and after surgery will be to your best interest and contribute to your
health.

Hi Brickey,
I have had many orthopedic surgeries and they intubated me for all of them...
even for the non ortho surgeries.  It is my understanding they intubate
everyone under general anesthesia.

You still have time to check out Prolotherapy
My son works at a large Naval Base and one of the workers told him that if
Prolotherapy fails and the person then proceeds with surgery the bones become
brittle and can fracture. Prolotherapy has a high failure rate like 30%. At my
age 78 I am near the age where my DR would not do the surgery. He had two
other DR's agree that I was OK for this surgery. He requested that both DR's
be present during the surgery. I have Asthma, sleep apnea and COPD. A lady who
just had surgery with similar problems said they kept her airway open during
the surgery by putting a hose down her throat.

Dee this DR is of English decent and is a direct descendent of the General who
conquered Scotland and deported my cousins to the colonies like America.
