I've never tried to compile spamdyke on Solaris, so the configure script isn't written to detect it. Spamdyke does not speak at all with vpopmail for graylist. So the answer is: yes, you can, because spamdyke is dependent from vpopmail ONLY if you plan to use the smtp-auth feature of spamdyke with vpopmail .
