RE: [pfSense Support] Change mode of Traffic shaper.
Thanks for notices, because last nigh I was trying set-up pfsense to priq and cbq without success, because manual creating queue in HFSC don`t work for the present. There are good news, that HFSC is your priority.Good for you! :-} And importatn question is, if finally will be able create manually more parent queues? Because traffic shaper based on HFSC is one of the interesting things in pfsense /the second is source based routing/ not only for me, I think. [pfSense Support] Question about pf and ipfw...
Hi! I recently read a post about captive portal, and the related use of ipfw. If I understood well, it is possible to use at the same time pf and ipfw. Is it true? I mean, can I use ipfw for doing a particular king of traffic redirection, even there is another redirection done with pf (of course, not for the same traffic!! i.e. pf for ftp, ipfw for www)?? TIA Tom

Should have worded it differently. The configuration files for each application eg. dhcpd.conf for dhcpd. So that when a user backs up their configuration the conf for that application would be included. It's not really supported at the moment but I have been reviewing some freebsd archives and it may be possible if I do some tweaks to dhclient-script. I need to setup a testing environement to verify. If you have set this up can you send me your dhclient logs from the system logs area? Here's what I was thinking: - Is it possible to define multiple virtual interfaces (not VLANs) one one physical one, each with its own (spoofed) MAC address? They'd then be configured as DHCP-Interfaces in pfSense and get their own (different IPs). That would be ideal, but I don't think the interfaces are clonable. - If so, would it be possible (OK, now I'm asking a bit much here) to get DynDNS for each of them? This for sure will not work.
