ok ive noticed a few things with the new build, so simple questions
 follow

1: why is the pkg_manager.php not included in the menu any more?? are
 packages still broken ??

embedded and liveCD doesn't support packageinstallation for quite a long time
already

2: installed a embedded image on a soekris today, no auto system
configure screens anymore, it took me straight into the gui on an
unconfigured system, so i have to manually configure everything

this is temporarily disabled and will be enabled again soon

3: Unable to receive version information. in System: Firmware: Auto
Update. are updates still broken ?

Auto update has never worked before. This is still under developement

4: and the metallic and drop down themes seem to overrun in firefox,
pushing diagnotics over system so you cant click their tabs

You probably have enlarged your fontsettings in firefox (try ctrl + - or
ctrl + +). Nonstandard size fonts break the layout.

Maybe it would be nice if suse shows this hint as it not only breaks pfsense
webgui but a lot of other pages as well ;-)
I don't think I have seen this behavior with other default KDE/Firefox
combinations by now but I'm not too sure about it...

When you use it on (SuSE)-Linux (not sure about my FreeBSD6-box at
home), the fonts are that large by default.
At least in SuSE 9.2 + Firefox 1.1.

But pressing CTRL - once is not a big effort, it just took some time
before I realized that there was one more tab ;-)

Maybe it would be a good idea to display a one-time hint in the
setup-wizard (when one runs the web-GUI for the first time).

 cheers,
 Rainer

I found the same issue on FreeBSD with Firefox a while back. At the
time, I was told it was a font issue (the font used by default wasn't
installed on FreeBSD by default, and the font it fell back on was bigger
than the intended one), and that it had been fixed. Not sure if this
got reverted or what.
