2006-07-29 Thread Pavel Machek
Hi!

We got the report (twice :-).

 The info is:

 myPC:~# s2ram -i
 This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor   = System Manufacturer
sys_product  = System Name
sys_version  = System Version
bios_version = ASUS A7V600 ACPI BIOS Revision 1008
 See http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram for details.

 If you report a problem, please include the complete output above.

 All options work, with the following caveats:
 s2ram -f -a 2 (DOESN'T COME BACK UP AND LOCKS THE SYSTEM)

 All other settings will suspend and restore the system, however, if I
 don't want my Vesa framebuffer to be mangled, I must use s2ram -f -a 3
 OR s2ram -f -s -p (OR another permutation with -s AND -p in it.)

We probably want to use -f -a 3 for a whitelist entry.

 The only other notes I have is that:
 1) This is a desktop PC (ASUS A7V600, AMD Barton 2800+, ATI X700 Pro
 AGP, 2 GB DDR 400)

...but desktop PCs are little trickier to whitelist :-(. Perhaps we
can just add -f -a 3, and hope that all desktop BIOSen are sane?
