Hi, I'm in northeast Indiana. I believe it's 4.3L, which, if I calculated correctly, comes to about 260 cu.in. [biofuel] GM Diesel
Hello everybody, I have a 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme diesel, which I am looking to sell. Is anyone interested? I hate to take it to a junkyard because it's a nice tough car, but it needs an injector pump rebuild and I don't have the time or money to do that. It has about 250,000 miles total, 50,000 since the engine was rebuilt. Phillip The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER! [biofuel] Homemade inverters.
Howdy all, Can anyone tell me where to find a design for an inverter (12V DC to 120V AC 60Hz) that can be built by someone with reasonably good electrical technician skills? Thanks. [biofuel] (unknown)
Howdy All, I have an '82 Cutlass Supreme 6 cyl. diesel which acts like its not getting enough fuel. It will not stay running when I start it on chilly (less than 40 degrees F) mornings. I have changed the fuel filter to no avail. Is there a fuel pump other than the injector pump? Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be? GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Re: [biofuel] Air car.
Ah, thanks. I guess I should have been more specific. It was a long day... How do they control the air going into the engine and how is the air exhausted? Does it operate like a four cycle engine or 2 cycle? The expansion of this air pushes the pistons and creates movement. The atmospheric temperature is used to re-heat the engine and increase the road coverage. The air conditioning system makes use of the expelled cold air. Yahoo! Re: [biofuel] Diesel fuel pumps.
So that'd be about 260 PSI? What's the pressure of the cumbustion in a diesel? Does the pump have to withstand the cumbustion pressure, or is there a check valve somewhere? Thanks! On Wed, 4 Sep 2002 17:07:19 +1000 Neil and Adele Craven [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Hello Phillip. AFAIK the pumps are all mechanically driven, though some have electronic control over injection timings etc. Not sure of the pressure that the pump operates at but the opening pressure on the injectors in my 80 series Diesel landcruiser are 17,652 - 18633 kPa Thus the pump must supply the fuel at a higher pressure than that.
