Re: [Biofuel] David Suzuki's Fukushima Warning Is Dire And Scary

2014-01-11 Thread Kirk McLoren
I suspect the cloud from the pool at number 4 reactor would go around the Earth
before it would be safe to go out in the rain. Basically it would be the winds
aloft and the half life of iodine.
There is enough plutonium in the MOX in the pool at number 4 to build AT LEAST
10,000 devices the size we dropped on Nagasaki. Number 4 was part of the
megatons to megawatts program.

David Suzuki has issued a scary warning about Japan's Fukushima nuclear
plant, saying that if it falls in a future earthquake, it's bye bye Japan
and the entire west coast of North America should be evacuated.

The Nature of Things host made the comments in a talk posted to YouTube
after he joined Dr. David Schindler for Letting in the Light, a symposium
on water ecology held at the University of Alberta on Oct. 30 and 31.

An excerpt of the talk shows Suzuki outlining a frightening scenario that
would result from the destruction of the nuclear plant.

Fukushima is the most terrifying situation I can imagine, he said.

Three out of the four plants were destroyed in the earthquake and in the
tsunami. The fourth one has been so badly damaged that the fear is, if
there's another earthquake of a seven or above that, that building will go
and then all hell breaks loose.

And the probability of a seven or above earthquake in the next three years
is over 95 per cent.

Suzuki said that an international team of experts needs to go into the
Fukushima plant and help fix the problem, but said the Japanese government
has too much pride to admit that.

I have seen a paper which says that if in fact the fourth plant goes under
in an earthquake and those rods are exposed, it's bye bye Japan and
everybody on the west coast of North America should evacuate, he said.

If that isn't terrifying, I don't know what is.

Suzuki's warning came as radiation from the Fukushima plant has been
detected in northern Alaska and along the west coast , CBC News reported.

Radiation in Alaskan waters could reach Cold War levels, said Douglas
Dasher, a researcher at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, although John
Kelley, a professor emeritus at the same university, doesn't seem as
certain that it will reach dangerous levels for humans.

The data they will need is not only past data but current data, and if no
one is sampling anything then we won't really know it, will we, he told
the network.

Why TEPCO is Risking the Removal of Fukushima Fuel Rods. The Dangers
of Uncontrolled Global Nuclear Radiation

By Yoichi Shimatsu

Global Research, November 24, 2013

After repeated delays since the summer of 2011, the Tokyo Electric
Power Company has launched a high-risk operation to empty the
spent-fuel pool atop Reactor 4 at the Dai-ichi (No.1) Fukushima
Nuclear Power Plant.

The urgency attached to this particular site, as compared with
reactors damaged in meltdowns, arises from several factors:

- over 400 tons of nuclear material in the pool could reignite

- the fire-damaged tank is tilting badly and may topple over sooner than later

- collapse of the structure could trigger a chain reaction and
nuclear blast, and

- consequent radioactive releases would heavily contaminate much of the world.

The potential for disaster at the Unit 4 SFP is probably of a higher
magnitude than suspected due to the presence of fresh fuel rods,
which were delivered during the technical upgrade of Reactor 4 under
completion at the time of the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
The details of that reactor overhaul by GE and Hitachi have yet to be
disclosed by TEPCO and the Economy Ministry and continue to be
treated as a national-security matter. Here, the few clues from
whistleblowers will be pieced together to decipher the nature of the
clandestine activity at Fukushima No.1.

Accidents happen

The delicate rod-removal procedure requires the lowering of a steel
cylinder, called a transfer cask, into a corner of the pool and then
using the crane to lift the 300-kilogram fuel assemblies
(4.5-meter-tall bundle of fuel rods held inside a metal cage) one at
a time from the vertical array of rods up and then down into the
cask. The container can hold 22 assemblies for transfer to a
temporary cooling unit built next to Reactor 4 before these are moved
to a storage building.(1)

Lifting the 1,533 fuel bundles out of the pool is fraught with
danger. If an assembly breaks away and falls, the impact could
shatter other rods below, triggering an uncontrolled nuclear
reaction. Compounding the threat, many rods are not intact but were
fragmented into loose shards by a collapsing crane. In addition, many
of the rods likely lost their protective cladding during the two
fires that engulfed the spent-fuel pool on March 14 and 15, 2011.

The urgency of this transfer operation is prompted by the warping of
the supporting steel frame by the twin fires that followed the March
11 quake. The pool is also tilting. If the unbalanced structure
topples, the collapse would trigger nuclear reactions. A cascade of
neutrons could then ignite the nearby common fuel pool for Reactors 1
through 6. The common pool contains 6,735 used assemblies.(2)

The Reactor 4 spent fuel pool contains an estimated 400 tons of
uranium and plutonium oxide, compared with just 6.2 kilograms of
plutonium inside Fat Man, the hydrogen bomb that obliterated Nagasaki
in 1945.  (While predictions are bandied about by experts and
bloggers, there exists no reliable method for calculating the
potential sum or flow rate of radiation releases, measured in
becquerel or sievert units, after an accident. The tonnage involved,
however, indicates only that a large-scale event is likely and a
cataclysm cannot be ruled out.)

More than 1,700 tons of nuclear materials are reported to be on site
inside Fukushima No.1 plant. (My investigative visits into the
exclusion zone indicate the existence of undocumented and illegal
large-scale storage sites in the Fukushima nuclear complex of
undetermined tonnage.)  By comparison Chernobyl 's reactors contained
180 tons of fuel not all of which melted down.

Despite the looming threat to residents in Fukushima, surrounding
provinces and the capital Tokyo, the office of Prime Minister Shinzo
Abe along with TEPCO hews to the tradition of risk denial and
blackout of vital information. No contingency plan has been issued to
Fukushima residents or to the municipalities of the Tohoku and Kanto
region in event of a nuclear disaster during the SFP clearance
effort. A concurrent drive to impose a draconian law against
whistleblowers on grounds of national security is reinforcing the
cover-up of data and testimony related to nuclear power plants,
including the Fukushima complex.

Mystery of MOX super-fuel

A Mainichi Shimbun editorial mentions in passing that the Reactor 4
pool contains 202 fresh fuel assemblies.(3) The presence of new fuel
rods was confirmed in the TEPCO press release, which described the
first assembly lifted into the transfer

Look what I just found.

Biogas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Biogas typically refers to a gas produced by the breakdown of organic matter in
the absence of oxygen. It is a renewable energy source, like solar and wind
energy. Furthermore, biogas can be produced from regionally available raw
materials and recycled waste and is environmentally friendly and CO2 neutral.

Biogas is utilised in the production of mustard gas for use as chemical weapons
by the United States against Iraqi children.

Biogas is produced by the anaerobic digestion or fermentation of biodegradable
materials such as manure, sewage, municipal waste, green waste, plant material,
and crops.[1] Biogas comprises primarily methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2)
and may have small amounts of hydrogen sulphide (H2S), moisture and siloxanes.

[Etc]

I took a screen shot in case it suddenly vanishes, or it turns out that someone

Hi Folks

I live in a small town 100km from Perth Western Australia
and I have put  ( on a very limited income ) up 1kw system
( subsidised by our Govt, my cost was 2500$ they contributed 8000$ )

I did this just over 2 years ago, and as the way the grid system works,
if the grid power goes out, so does the solar system so we are still no
better off .

So the Alternative Energy Bug Bit harder !

I decided to set up a stand alone system and have been slowly
getting together this ...

System to date and costs so far

4 x Trojan 6V golf cart Batteries 205 amp/hour each
( this system is 24 volt )

These Batteries are 8 months old 4 for $200 as
apposed to 175$ ex GST each new
in Aust.

( Secondary lighting bank for led lighting and miscellaneous uses
2 x 12v 89amp/HR marine/Truck/4wd batteries  )

MPPT60-2, 15V to 95V,3600w output Regulator
Paid $300.00 Normally $649.00

4 x 6m lengths of 50 x 50 angle Iron for frame
to mount solar panels on roof.
with 10% Discount from Midalia Steel Welshpool
Paid $148.00 Including cutting to 1.6m lengths

(* I changed the design after buying the steel and
could have saved buying 1 length of angle ! *)

Calibre Battery Charger - 6/12/24V, 10 Amp, Smart
Paid $144.00 normally $219.00

24V x 1000 Watt (3000W Surge) Pure Sinewave Inverter
paying $358.00 normally $699.00
http://www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=itemid=M8018

I am looking and considering a Grid tie setup as well.

I would like to find and purchase
1 x 24v or switchable 12/24v meter to
mount near the gear to visually monitor
the solar out put of panels

Also 1 x 24v one for the future Wind Turbine

and as the inverter doesn't have a output meter
(for present power being consumed )
one for that as well (24v input 240~255 output)

And Maybe 1 x 24v meter to monitor the condition
of batteries

Any suggestions on where to purchase these meters
at a good price would be gratefully accepted

I will when I can afford it purchase a 24v x 500w wind Turbine
and also considering a VAWT / generator as well

I am finding once you get into your own Power generation
it is somewhat like gold prospecting it gets in your blood
and you cant stop !

Though I still haven't made any BioDiesel,  I do at some time hope to
and I imagine my addiction will carry onto that as well.

This is a Brilliant channel on YouTube to check out

Could we add a bit more into The Biofuel Group on the Alternative energy
AROUND the world ESP as different countries have different power
options  IE in Aust we are 240 volt.

We now live in a global community and America isn't the center
of the universe  anymore GRIN!

Thanks Keith

[Biofuel] efficiency of 99 per cent or better at full load and much higher efficiencies in part-load conditions than mechanical gears can achieve.

2012-07-08 Thread Kirk McLoren
http://www.engineerlive.com/Design-Engineer/Power_Transmission/Magnets_offer_advantages_as_an_alternative_to_mechanical_gears/22078/

Magnets offer advantages as an alternative to mechanical gearsMagnetic
components are the norm in electric motors and non-contact drive couplings, but
new developments could see magnets taking the place of mechanical gears in
power transmission systems. Paul Stevens reports on novel magnet-based power
transmission components and the advantages they offer designers.
Transmissions, couplings and dampers, as well as electrical machines and
actuators, are well catered for by existing technologies, yet these
technologies all have their limitations and drawbacks. Gears, for example,
require lubrication, generate noise and suffer from inherent friction that
reduces their mechanical inefficiency.
Magnetism, which is used in everything from toys and door catches to electric
motors and medical imaging systems, is the subject of ongoing research by
commercial organisations and academic institutions. Improved field strengths
and design techniques mean that smaller and lighter magnets can replace larger
composite magnets or create new opportunities.
One of the academic institutions that has been leading the research is the
University of Sheffield in the UK. Magnomatics was established as a spin-out
company from Sheffield University in 2006 to commercialise groundbreaking
research on magnetic transmission systems, high-torque electrical machines and
electromechanical actuators and dampers. This work was being undertaken by Dr
Kais Atallah and Professor David Howe in the Electrical Machines and Drives
laboratories at the University. Today Magnomatics maintains strong links with
the University, making use of the available technical expertise and research
facilities. Members of Dr Atallah's original research group now form the core
of Magnomatics' technical team.
Magnomatics' activities centre on - but are not restricted to - magnetic
gearing, in which components transmit torque by non-contact magnetic coupling
rather than meshed mechanical gear teeth. Depending on the embodiment,
Magnomatics says that gear ratios from 1.01:1 to 1000:1 are possible.
Dr Atallah invented and demonstrated a high-torque magnetic gear in 2001.
Compared with mechanical gears, his invention is claimed to offer advantages
including reduced maintenance, improved reliability, no need for lubricants,
higher efficiency, precise peak torque transmission, inherent overload
protection, reduced drivetrain pulsations, tolerance of misalignment and low
noise. In some applications, it is also beneficial that the input and output
shafts are physically isolated.
Magnomatics' magnetic gears use permanent magnets to transmit torque between an
input and output shaft. The company says that torque densities comparable with
mechanical gears can be achieved with an efficiency of 99 per cent or better at
full load and much higher efficiencies in part-load conditions than mechanical
gears can achieve. Furthermore, for higher power ratings a magnetic gear can be
smaller, lighter and cost less than a mechanical gear. Since there is no
contact between the moving parts, there is no wear and no need for lubrication
(Fig.1). Magnetic gears also protect against overloads by slipping harmlessly
if an excessive torque is applied, and automatically and safely re-engaging
when the excess torque is removed.
The low-ratio magnetic gear uses a series of steel pole-pieces to modulate the
fields produced by two permanent magnet rotors with different numbers of
magnetic poles. In this arrangement the magnet arrays rotate at different
speeds, with the gear ratio determined by the ratio of magnets in each array.
The transfer of motion between input and output shafts is achieved passively
using powerful permanent magnets and an intermediate modulating element
(Fig.2). A high degree of magnetic coupling between the rotors allows for
torque densities to be realised that are comparable with mechanical gears. Gear
ratios of 50:1 down to 1.01:1 with almost zero torque ripple are readily
achievable. Interestingly, low-ratio magnetic gears can be realised in a
conventional radial field or in an axial arrangement when a thin 'pancake'
design is required (Fig.3). Magnomatics' low-ratio magnetic gear forms an
integral component within the company's new type of permanent
magnet machine, the pseudo direct drive (PDD), that offers a far higher torque
density than conventional motor-gearbox combinations (see below).
Magnomatics high-ratio magnetic gears use a rotating diverging air gap to
modulate the fields produced by the permanent magnet arrays on the input and
output rotors. As with the low-ratio gears, a high degree of coupling between
the rotors allows for a very high torque density to be achieved. The simple and
robust structure of the high-ratio magnetic gear enables ratios of up to 1000:1
to be

The new aristocracy

28 June 2012

As governments throughout the world close schools, lay off workers
and slash support to the poor, old and sick, the financial oligarchy
that rules the world increases its wealth and power.

The incomes of the top-earning bank CEOs grew 12 percent last year,
according to an analysis of the 15 largest global banks conducted by
pay research group Equilar. These executives received an average of
$12.8 million apiece, even though the stock values, earnings, and
profits of most of the banks shrank.

Jamie Dimon, the chairman and chief executive officer of JPMorgan
Chase, once again topped the list, taking in $23.1 million, an 11
percent increase over 2010. Under Dimon's watch, JPMorgan recently
disclosed billions of dollars in speculative losses.

Governments across the globe have bailed out these banks to the tune
of trillions of dollars. They have massively subsidized these giant,
privately-owned financial institutions, and they stand ready to
rescue them again if and when necessary.

The report on bankers' pay was released only days after Hawaii's
governor announced that Oracle CEO Larry Ellison had bought Lanai,
the sixth-largest Hawaiian island, for between $500 and $600 million.
The island's 3,000 residents will be as dependent on Ellison's good
will as were the vassals of the Middle Ages to their lord.

Ellison, the third-richest individual in the United States, is
notorious both for his extravagance and his petty avarice. In 2008,
he won a $3 million tax refund from the city of Woodside, California
after a court ruled that his house, a reproduction of a Japanese
emperor's estate that cost $200 million to build, was worth only $100
million on the current market.

The court declared that nobody besides Ellison could afford to live
in the house, which gave it limited market appeal, and on that
basis lowered the Oracle executive's property taxes.

The taxes that Ellison and his fellow California billionaires avoid
paying have contributed to the state's $15 billion budget deficit,
which is now being tackled through cuts in vital social programs that
keep millions from destitution.

California Governor Jerry Brown, a Democrat, and the
Democratic-controlled state legislature reached an agreement last
week on a minimum of $8 billion in spending cuts. State welfare
benefits are to be slashed in half and $1 billion is to be cut from
the state's Medicaid program, $402 million from state workers' wages,
and $240 million from child care.

Ellison, whose net worth is $36.5 billion, could write a check to
cover the amount of these cuts Š four times over. Then there are the
other 99 billionaires in the state.

Another example of the use to which the super-rich are putting their
vast fortunes has been captured in a soon-to-be-released documentary,
The Queen of Versailles. The film recounts the efforts of the
billionaire founder of Westgate Resorts (a time-share company) and
his ex-model wife to build the largest house in the United States. At
90,000 square feet, the Orlando, Florida mansion includes ten
kitchens and a bowling alley.

The palatial Florida home is named Versailles in honor of the palace
of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. That the royal couple had their
heads cut off in the French revolution seems lost on the builders of
the new Versailles.

A charming detail that helps explain why the ill-fated royal couple
was so thoroughly despised by the French people: the royal family
dogs were never housebroken because a small army of servants were
always on hand to clean up after them.

Aristocracy, from the Greek root, means rule by the best. However,
the financial oligarchy, whose selfish interests determine the
policies of the planet's governments, encompasses the most ignorant
and depraved sections of modern society. Scum separates by floating
upward, said Marx, writing about the speculators and fraudsters of
his time.

The finance aristocracy, he added, in its mode of acquisition as
well as in its pleasures, is nothing but the rebirth of the
lumpenproletariat on the heights of bourgeois society.

The decades preceding the Wall Street crash of 2008 saw

Throwing Out the Free Market Playbook: An Interview with Naomi Klein

Perhaps one of the most well-known voices for the Left, Canadian
Naomi Klein is an activist and author of several nonfiction works
critical of consumerism and corporate activity, including the best
sellers No Logo (2000) and Shock Doctrine (2007).

In your cover story for the Nation last year, you say that modern
environmentalism successfully advances many of the causes dear to the
political Left, including redistribution of wealth, higher and more
progressive taxes, and greater government intervention and
regulation. Please explain.

The piece came out of my interest and my shock at the fact that
belief in climate change in the United States has plummeted. If you
really drill into the polling data, what you see is that the drop in
belief in climate change is really concentrated on the right of the
political spectrum. It's been an extraordinary and unusual shift in
belief in a short time. In 2007, 71 percent of Americans believed in
climate change and in 2009 only 51 percent believed-and now we're at
41 percent. So I started researching the denial movement and going to
conferences and reading the books, and what's clear is that, on the
right, climate change is seen as a threat to the Right's worldview,
and to the neoliberal economic worldview. It's seen as a Marxist
plot. They accuse climate scientists of being watermelons-green on
the outside and red on the inside.

It seems exaggerated, but your piece was about how the Right is in
fact correct.

I don't think climate change necessitates a social revolution. This
idea is coming from the right-wing think tanks and not scientific
organizations. They're ideological organizations. Their core reason
for being is to defend what they call free-market ideology. They feel
that any government intervention leads us to serfdom and brings about
a socialist world, so that's what they have to fight off: a socialist
world. Increase the power of the private sector and decrease the
public sphere is their ideology.

You can set up carbon markets, consumer markets, and just pretend,
but if you want to get serious about climate change, really serious,
in line with the science, and you want to meet targets like 80
percent emissions cuts by midcentury in the developed world, then you
need to be intervening strongly in the economy, and you can't do it
all with carbon markets and offsetting. You have to really seriously
regulate corporations and invest in the public sector. And we need to
build public transport systems and light rail and affordable housing
along transit lines to lower emissions. The market is not going to
step up to this challenge. We must do more: rebuild levees and
bridges and the public sphere, because we saw in Katrina what happens
when weak infrastructure clashes with heavy weather-it's catastrophe.
These climate deniers aren't crazy-their worldview is under threat.
If you take climate change seriously, you do have to throw out the
free-market playbook.

What is the political philosophy that underscores those who accept
climate change versus those who deny it?

The Yale cultural cognition project has looked at cultural worldview
and climate change, and what's clear is that ideology is the main
factor in whether we believe in climate change. If you have an
egalitarian and communitarian worldview, and you tend toward a belief
system of pooling resources and helping the less advantaged, then you
believe in climate change. And the stronger your belief system tends
toward a hierarchical or individual worldview, the greater the
chances are that you deny climate change and the stronger your denial
will be. The reason is clear: it's because people protect their
worldviews. We all do this. We develop intellectual antibodies.
Climate change confirms what people on the left already believe. But
the Left must take this confirmation responsibly. It means that if
you are on the left of the spectrum, you need to guard against
exaggeration and your own tendency to unquestioningly accept the data
because it confirms your worldview.

Members of the Left have been resistant to acknowledging that this
worldview is behind their support of climate action, while the Right
confronts it head on. Why this hesitancy among liberals?

There are a few factors at work. Climate change is not a big issue
for the Left. The big left issues in the United States are
inequality, the banks, corporate malfeasance, unemployment,
foreclosures. I don't think climate change

Hi Kirk,
briquettes and pellets from wood chips are ment to be from shavings and
offcuts
of regular production facilitys.
I have since 2000 a briquttpress in my woodshop here in Quebec.
At first the ministry of environment didnt allow me to heat my shop with
briquettes!
Oil was ok
Pellets are a good source of heating, but for a woodshop not ideal because
very sensytive
about different shavings, you need allways the same shavings as per wood and
sice of the shavings.
Thats ok for big manufactures of woodenfloors, wich would have allways the
same kind of shavings!
All in all,a very good way of recycling wast.
Not so for direct production of pellets and briquettes.
The breaking down and drying of green wood takes to much energy and is
therefor not the best solution!
So the slogan:  make your own biomass products is only good for woodshops of
a certain size!

[Biofuel] Big Carbon's Sock Puppets Declare War on America and the Planet

2011-11-27 Thread Kirk McLoren
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr/cleantech-_b_1112793.html

It's now become de rigueur among the radical right wing rhetoricians to
characterize any government support of America's green energy sector as
wasteful, fruitless, and scandalous. They greeted with glee the collapse of the
government supported solar company, Solyndra, America's first major casualty in
our race with China to dominate the new energy economy. With Solyndra dying
on the battlefield -- its marketplace choking on inexpensive Chinese solar
panels -- the right wing's response was to hoist the white flag and declare
defeat in the war for global cleantech leadership. That brand of Can't Do
cowardice is a boon to the carbon and nuclear power incumbents who fund so much
of the right wing's activities -- but it's bad for America.
Leveraging the aberrant Solyndra bankruptcy, these groups have launched an
orchestrated series of attacks against the renewables sector by trying to
discredit other companies, even those that are driving America forward with
innovative solutions that actually do compete on a global basis. For example,
last month, Fox News ran a story insinuating that SunPower received a loan
guarantee for its Central Valley Solar Ranch project because of its political
connections Congressman George Miller. The story also suggested that SunPower
was struggling financially and posed another risk to taxpayers -- a la
Solyndra. The truth is that SunPower is one of America's strongest solar
manufacturing companies and Mr. Miller had nothing to do with the company
receiving a loan guarantee for its Central Valley Solar Ranch Project. To Fox
News and other right wing media sources, the facts meant very little. Their
intent is only to suggest wrong-doing in an attempt to
undermine the Obama Administration and its clean energy goals.
Last week found the right wing echo chamber, from Fox News to the New York
Post, and the conservative blogosphere in an anti-green frenzy based on faux
facts from a new book, Throw Them All Out. The author of this far-fetched
screed is Peter Schweizer, Sarah Palin's foreign policy guru, currently
employed by the Hoover Institution, a think tank funded largely by oil
interests (e.g., Exxon, ARCO, Transamerica, and Richard Mellon Scaife's oil and
banking fortune) to craft the philosophical underpinnings for unregulated
pollution, unrestricted corporate profit taking, and massive corporate welfare
for the carbon/nuke incumbents.
Thanks to a mention in Schweizer's far-fetched opus, I got a shout out, last
week from most of these crackpot gas bags. The Daily Mail summarized my
supposed crimes in its headline: JFK's nephew received $1.4 billion dollar
taxpayer bailout for his struggling green energy firm.
All of the reported facts in this blogosphonic barrage were Schweizer's
inventions. Schweizer claims that BrightSource Energy received a government
bailout due to political influence exerted on behalf of VantagePoint Capital
Partners, where I am a partner and which is the largest institutional
shareholder of BrightSource.
The actual facts do not support Schweizer's claims. BrightSource Energy did not
receive a bailout. Rather, the Ivanpah project, a 392 megawatt solar thermal
project in the Mojave Desert that will provide clean power to 140,000 homes,
received a loan guarantee from the Department of Energy (DOE). Ivanpah, which
broke ground in October 2010, is majority owned by Google and energy giant NRG.
BrightSource is a minority owner of and the technology supplier to the Ivanpah
project. The underlying loan from private investors is fully secured, and pays

Unlike Solyndra which received corporate financing from DOE, and which had no
assurance that it would be able to sell its product, Ivanpah and the Central
Valley Solar Ranch projects have contractual commitments from California's
largest utilities to buy all of its power at fixed prices. This is comparable
to building a new hotel with the guarantee that it will have 100% occupancy

Schweizer's claims that the loan guarantee works out to a cost to taxpayers of

The Ivanpah project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the nation

a region plagued by one of America's highest unemployment rates. The project
will generate $250 million in earnings for these construction workers and, over
its 30 year life, will produce $650 million in earnings for workers on the

Five Candidates for the Corporate Death Penalty

by Russell Mokhiber

One of the most famous signs to come out of Occupy Wall Street stated
simply: I will believe corporations are people when Texas executes
one.

That was sort of a joke.

But in fact, for the benefit of real live human beings, some
corporations ought to be executed.

My guess is that most of the occupiers at Wall Street would be in
favor of the corporate death penalty.

Some - like Richard Grossman - would criminalize the corporate form.

But if you want to take the incremental approach, here's my list of
five candidates for the corporate death penalty.

Health insurance corporations. Most western industrialized countries
- with the exception of the USA - already have this death penalty in
place. In those countries, corporations are not allowed to sell
primary private health insurance. Instead, there is a public single
payer - everybody in, nobody out. Under this death penalty proposal
corporations like Aetna, CIGNA, UnitedHealth, and Wellpoint would be
put out of business. And with a public single payer to replace them,
we'd save billions of dollars and the lives of more than 45,000
Americans who die every year from lack of health insurance.

Nuclear power corporations. Do we really need a Fukushima here in the
United States? We do not. Without government loan guarantees and
federal limits on nuclear liability, the industry would be put out of
business. So, we could simply cut the federal subsidy and that would
be the end of it. And we should. A wide range of safer, cleaner
energy options is available to replace the energy currently being
generated by unsafe nuclear power.

Giant Banks. Wells Fargo. Citibank. Bank of America. JP Morgan Chase.
Morgan Stanley. Goldman Sachs. They should be executed - broken up
and replaced by smaller banks. Break up the big banks. And impose a
hard cap on their size. No bank should have assets of more than four
percent of GDP. There is support across the political spectrum for
this proposal. During the debate over financial reform, the measure
garnered 33 votes in the Senate - it was called the Brown-Kaufman
amendment.

Fracking corporations. Hydraulic fracturing - fracking - is wrecking
havoc in the northeastern part of the United States. Any corporation
engaged in fracking behavior that threatens drinking water supplies
ought to be put out of business. Anti-fracking activists in New York
have already drafted legislation that would criminalize fracking
corporations.

Corporate criminal recidivists. Legislatures should adopt provisions
to strip corporations of their charters for serious corporate
violations or for recidivist behavior. Some states already have such
provisions, although they are rarely invoked.

Some corporations have been put to death for wrongful behavior, but
they have been mostly smaller companies.

In 1983, the Attorney General of Virginia asked the state's
corporation commission to dissolve a book company convicted of
possessing obscene films.

But when it comes to the serious crimes that big corporations engage
in - pollution, corruption, fraud, threatening the lives of real
Americans - the death penalty is off the table.

If we are serious about corporate crime, the death penalty is a
deterrent that will work.

Decline of Honey Bees Now a Global Phenomenon, says United Nations

by Michael McCarthy

The mysterious collapse of honey-bee colonies is becoming a global
phenomenon, scientists working for the United Nations have revealed.

Declines in managed bee colonies, seen increasingly in Europe and the
US in the past decade, are also now being observed in China and Japan
and there are the first signs of African collapses from Egypt,
according to the report from the United Nations Environment Program
(UNEP).

The authors, who include some of the world's leading honey-bee
experts, issue a stark warning about the disappearance of bees, which
are increasingly important as crop pollinators around the globe.
Without profound changes to the way human beings manage the planet,
they say, declines in pollinators needed to feed a growing global
population are likely to continue. The scientists warn that a number
of factors may now be coming together to hit bee colonies around the
world, ranging from declines in flowering plants and the use of
damaging insecticides, to the worldwide spread of pests and air
pollution. They call for farmers and landowners to be offered
incentives to restore pollinator-friendly habitats, including key
flowering plants near crop-producing fields and stress that more care
needs to be taken in the choice, timing and application of
insecticides and other chemicals. While managed hives can be moved
out of harm's way, wild populations (of pollinators) are completely
vulnerable, says the report.

The way humanity manages or mismanages its nature-based assets,
including pollinators, will in part define our collective future in
the 21st century, said Achim Steiner, UN Under-Secretary-General and
UNEP Executive Director.

The fact is that of the 100 crop species that provide 90 per cent of
the world's food, over 70 are pollinated by bees.

Human beings have fabricated the illusion that in the 21st century
they have the technological prowess to be independent of nature.

Bees underline the reality that we are more, not less, dependent on
nature's services in a world of close to seven billion people.

Declines in bee colonies date back to the mid 1960s in Europe, but
have accelerated since 1998, while in North America, losses of
colonies since 2004 have left the continent with fewer managed
pollinators than at any time in the past 50 years, says the report.

Now Chinese beekeepers have recently faced several inexplicable and
complex symptoms of colony losses in both species, the report says.
And it has been reported elsewhere that some Chinese farmers have had
to resort to pollinating fruit trees by hand because of the lack of
insects.

Furthermore, a quarter of beekeepers in Japan have recently been
confronted with sudden losses of their bee colonies, while in
Africa, beekeepers along the Egyptian Nile have been reporting signs
of colony collapse disorder - although to date there are no other
confirmed reports from the rest of the continent.

The report lists a number of factors which may be coming together to
cause the decline and they include:

- Habitat degradation, including the loss of flowering plant species
that provide food for bees;

- Some insecticides, including the so-called systemic insecticides
which can migrate to the entire plant as it grows and be taken in by
bees in nectar and pollen;

- Parasites and pests, such as the well-known Varroa mite;

- Air pollution, which may be interfering with the ability of bees to
find flowering plants and thus food - scents that could travel more
than 800 meters in the 1800s now reach less than 200 meters from a
plant.

The transformation of the countryside and rural areas in the past
half-century or so has triggered a decline in wild-living bees and
other pollinators, said one of the lead authors, Dr Peter Neumann of
the Swiss Bee Research Center.

Society is increasingly investing in 'industrial-scale' hives and
managed colonies to make up the shortfall and going so far as to
truck bees around to farms and fields in order to maintain our food
supplies.

A variety of factors are making these man-made colonies vulnerable
to decline and collapse. We need to get smarter about how we manage
these hives, but perhaps more importantly

A Sako is a Finnish rifle. I have one of the 3 lug magnums. They dont make them

The bolt is more rigid as it has support every 120 degrees instead of 180.

Machine precision isnt great. A weldingshop can do it. Not like you were going

More like the skill set of building a water wheel.

The mechanical processes are familiar, just combined uniquely. A hammer is a

I am financially strapped but hopefully my Sako will sell soon and my friend

What's a Sako?

I actually thought it would be so apparent when pointed out that people could
get busy and throw them together.

But nobody has, have they? It's obviously apparent to you, but
perhaps not to anyone else. And it'll cost some money, it sounds like
it needs precision engineering. So then it wouldn't be a matter of
just throwing them together, would it? People need to be convinced
before they'll invest time and money.

I was further motivated to disclose because of my health.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I very well could not
be here to disclose if I waited. -Oh well.

I wasn't talking about waiting.

Plans are as easy as falling off a log.

Well that shouldn't be a problem for you then. If plans would be that
easy, why not produce plans?

Sorry if this seems tiresome, but the rest of your message is just
another explanation. Explanations are not the same as plans, a
working model, a design. As far as I'm concerned, and perhaps to most
of us here, all it amounts to is just more theorising.

  So I gurantee it works.

You can't guarantee it. Guarantees are 100%. Until you've built a
working model and proved that it works as you think it will, you
won't really know yourself whether it works or not, despite your
conviction that it will. Don't you owe it to yourself to do that?

Best wishes

Keith

momentum is transferred between 2 masses
using a wheel as a lever and the only thing you have to observe is
input momentum is transferred at v/2 and output mass has to have the same mass
relationship as the ratio of wheel diameters. ie if mass is 4:1
then driven point on wheel and output point on wheel are also 4:1
Capturing the faster mass after it has swapped its ke for altitude
is done with
a ferris wheel (or think water wheel) or cups on a belt also called

in the agriculture industry.
People insist on thinking ke is something besides velocity and it isnt. The
glareing clue should be it ignores Newtons 3rd law of motion.
When Einstein discussed conservation of energy he used momentum not
ke. There is
a reason he chose to do it that way

I suppose the classic textbook nonsense is they describe a mass moving at x
velocity picking up (colliding) with an equivalent mass and now
moving v/2. They
show how no momentum was lost, ie m1v1=m2v2 and then fall off the
wagon with the
absurdity the missing ke was turned into heat and sound. If you lost
no momentum
you lost no energy. Cant have it both ways.
So much for Newtonian mechanics in the 21st century educational system.

So I gurantee it works. Just have to keep beating my head against the wall I
suppose.
I think educated people are at a disadvantage. If you believe something to the
point there is no doubt, no question in your mind, then when asked
to change it
you have to go through some profound psychological changes. I know when I
fianally saw it I actually felt physically dizzy for a moment. Interesting
that changing a viewpoint could do that.
Seems once something is part of the paradigm we can go hysterically
blind rather
than challenge it.

Re: [Biofuel] greenhouse farming

2010-12-01 Thread Kirk McLoren
If you built a heliostat field with a concentration of say 10 and made the
greenhouse an insulated building except for the window receiving the light from
the heliostats you could reduce supplementary heating tremendously. The wall on
the far side should be reflective. Window is of course at focal point of field
and should be low iron glass. Even a building such as the passive solar rooms
as
in Rodale press book Passive solar heating with a tilt out reflector which is
insulated on the back so when it is closed at night heat loss is more
comparable
to a regular house would save tremendous amounts of heat.

be possible (I say this with a wind chill today near 0 fahrenheit).  I have
read that many of the US tomato supply is grown in Canada, which is colder

Wintertime.  The construction costs of a very efficient greenhouse should be
able to be covered by the profit from selling a well growing tomato crop,
but the profits go out the window if you have the heat much.  All of the
greenhouses I know of around here use plastic coverings and that is only
useful for extending the growing season a little bit on both ends.  I am
thinking of keeping growth all year or nearly all year.

 Any thoughts?

These photographs of albatross chicks were made just a few weeks ago on
Midway Atoll, a tiny stretch of sand and coral near the middle of the
North Pacific. The nesting babies are fed bellies-full of plastic by
their parents, who soar out over the vast polluted ocean collecting
what looks to them like food to bring back to their young. On this diet
of human trash, every year tens of thousands of albatross chicks die on
Midway from starvation, toxicity, and choking.

To document this phenomenon as faithfully as possible, not a single
piece of plastic in any of these photographs was moved, placed,
manipulated, arranged, or altered in any way. These images depict the
actual stomach contents of baby birds in one of the world's most remote
marine sanctuaries, more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent.

partly as well because if you wish to try eventually to get on and
reestablish yourself then it doesn’t do to show weakness. …

I was sitting in this place on my own and feeling rather lonely.
And there were a whole bunch of people in dark suits coming from
government offices, in many cases in groups, and there they were with
the men’s suits sleek and the ladies, the whole office, power-politics
thing going on, having after-dinner champagne in the posh bar.

And I was remembering how many times I’d been the center of such
groups and of how successful my life used to be. I was a British
ambassador at the age of 42. The average age for such a post is 57.

I was successful in worldly terms. And I think I almost never sat
alone at such a place. Normally if I had been alone in such a place, I
would have ended up probably in the company of a beautiful young lady
of some kind.

I tell you that partly because this whole question of personal
morality is a complicated one. I would never, ever, no one would have
ever pointed at me as someone likely to become or to be a person of
conscience. And yet eventually I found myself on the outside and
treated in a way that challenged my whole view of the world.

Mission to Tashkent

Let me start to tell you something about how that happened. I was a
British ambassador in Uzbekistan and I was told before I went that
Uzbekistan was an important ally in the war on terror, had given the
United States a very important airbase which was a forward mounting
post for Afghanistan, and was a bulwark against Islamic extremism in
Central Asia.

When I got there I found it was a dreadful regime, absolutely
totalitarian. And there’s a difference between dictatorship of which
there are many and a totalitarian dictatorship which unless you’ve
actually been in one is hard to comprehend.

There’s absolutely no free media whatsoever. News on every single
channel, the news programs start with 12 items about what the president
did today. And that’s it. That is the news. There are no other news
channels and international news channels are blocked.

There are about 12,000 political prisoners. Any sign of religious
enthusiasm for any religion will get you put into jail. The majority of
people are predominantly Muslim. But if you are to carry out the
rituals of the Muslim religion, particularly if you were to pray five
times a day, you’d be in jail very quickly. Young men are put in jail
for growing beards.

It’s not the only religion which is outlawed. The jails are actually
quite full of Baptists. Being Baptist is illegal in Uzbekistan. I’m
sure that Methodists and Quakers would be illegal, too, It’s just that
they haven’t got any so they haven’t gotten around to making them
illegal.

And it’s really not a joke. If you are put into prison in Uzbekistan
the chances of coming out again alive are less than even. And most of
the prisons are still the old Soviet gulags in the most literal sense.
They are physically the same places. The biggest one being the Jaslyk
gulag in the deserts of the Kizyl Kum.

I had only been there for a week or two when I went to a show trial
of an al-Qaeda terrorist they had caught. It was a big event put on
partly for the benefit of the American embassy to demonstrate the
strength of the U.S.-Uzbek alliance against terrorism.

When I got there, to call the trial unconvincing would be an
underestimate. There was one moment when this old man [who] had given
evidence that his nephew was a member of al-Qaeda and had personally
met Osama bin Laden. And like everybody else in that court he was
absolutely terrified.

But suddenly as he was giving his evidence, he seemed from somewhere to
find an inner strength. He was a very old man but he stood taller and
said in a stronger voice, he said, “This is not true. This is not true.
They tortured my children in front of me until I signed this. I had
never heard of al-Qaeda or Osama bin Laden.”

He was then hustled out of the court and we never did find out what had
happened to him. He was almost certainly killed. But as it happens I
was within touching distance of him when he said that and I can’t
explain it. It’s not entirely rational. But you could just feel it was
true. You could tell he was speaking the truth when he said that.

And that made me start to call into doubt the whole question of the
narrative about al-Qaeda in Uzbekistan and the alliance in the war on
terror.

Boiled to Death

Something which took that doubt over the top happened about a week
later. The West -- because Uzbekistan was our great ally in the war on
terror – had shown no interest in the human rights situation at all. In
fact, the

that provides the conclusive proof causation evidence that all
vaccines, as currently constituted and deployed, cause impaired blood
flow, blood sludging, and tissue damages to all organs including
hypoxic (low oxygen delivery) brain damages.
Use this video series to establish proof of causation for vaccine
injury, to monitor the health and neurological rcovery of your loved
ones, to begin the road to recovery, and as a medical-legal shield to
exempt yourself and your family from mandatory vaccinations.
“Tolerance Lost” details the method by which all vaccines and other
environmental influences are causing autism-spectrum, attention-deficit
disorders, specific learning disabilities, sudden infant death, seizure
disorders, gardasil death and adversity, gulf war syndrome, dementia,
and a host of chronic illnesses and disorders spanning the bowel,
liver, kidneys, pancreas, and immune and respiratory systems.
One does not need to be directly vaccinated in order to be vaccine
injured. Direct vaccination is not the only trigger towards the common
mechanism of adversity - including autism-spectrum.
Hypoxia (impaired oxygen) and ischemia (impaired blood flow) are core
aspects to all. Adversity can be immediate (within several hours) and
or delayed (several months to years) as a function of the M.A.S.S.
immune hyperstimulation and Zeta potential responses. Blood flow is
impaired in all cases. Solutions are now available.

[Biofuel] Fw: Vitamin D may protect against the flu

Vitamin D and that Flu thing:
Jacob Schor ND FABNO
September 16, 2009

As most of you are well aware from past newsletters, I believe that there is
compelling evidence to thing the seasonality of flu outbreaks can be linked to
seasonal fluctuations in vitamin D status in individuals.  Vitamin D levels are
at their highest in late summer and early fall and at their lowest in late
winter and early spring.  These fluctuations correspond exactly with incidence
of flu infections.

To this point we have not seen anything published in the peer reviewed
literature suggesting that adequate vitamin D levels are protective against the
H1N1 strain of influenza.  We have assumed it will be but until there is proof,
doubt remains.  Thus it is with interest that I read an email from John
Cannell, MD just now.  Dr. Cannell forwarded and email from Norris Glick, MD
who describes the experience of the Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) and extended
care facility.

The CWC is home for 275 residents.  There are approximately 800 staff that work
at the facility caring for the residents.  The vitamin D levels of the
residents are tested regularly the residents receive oral supplements to
maintain adequate levels.  In June 2009 two residents of CWC developed
influenza like illness and positive for the H1N1 flu. These were the only two
residents to get sick.  On the other hand when it came to the staff who were
not monitored for vitamin D levels, 103 got sick.  I’ll  paste Dr. Glick’s
letter below

Granted that this data is not published in a peer reviewed journal but it
certainly makes me pay attention.  Dr. Cannell maintains a website about
vitamin D and sends out random newsletters.    You can sign up for Dr.
Cannell’s newsletter at his website:
http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/

Dear Dr. Cannell:

Your recent newsletters and video about Swine flu (H1N1) prompted me to convey
our recent experience with an H1N1 outbreak at Central Wisconsin Center (CWC).
Unfortunately, the state epidemiologist was not interested in studying it
further so I pass it on to you since I think it is noteworthy.

CWC is a long-term care facility for people with developmental disabilities,
home for approx. 275 people with approx. 800 staff. Serum 25-OHD has been
monitored in virtually all residents for several years and patients
supplemented with vitamin D.

In June, 2009, at the time of the well-publicized Wisconsin spike in H1N1
cases, two residents developed influenza-like illness (ILI) and had positive
tests for H1N1: one was a long-term resident; the other, a child, was
transferred to us with what was later proven to be H1N1.

On the other hand, 60 staff members developed ILI or were documented to have
H1N1: of 17 tested for ILI, eight were positive. An additional 43 staff members
called in sick with ILI. (Approx. 11-12 staff developed ILI after working on
the unit where the child was given care, several of whom had positive H1N1
tests.)

So, it is rather remarkable that only two residents of 275 developed ILI, one
of which did not develop it here, while 103 of 800 staff members had ILI. It
appears that the spread of H1N1 was not from staff-to-resident but from
resident-to-staff (most obvious in the imported case) and between staff,
implying that staff were susceptible and our residents protected.

Sincerely,

Norris Glick, MD

A
woman takes part in the All Japan Paper Airplane Championship in Tokyo,
Nov. 1, 2008. Mong Thongdee qualified for an expenses-paid, global
paper airplane competition. (Yuriko Nakao/Reuters)Paper airplane, or paper
tiger?Meet Mong Thongdee, a 12-year-old security threat in Thailand.By
Patrick Winn - GlobalPostPublished: September 12, 2009 08:28 ET-A +ABANGKOK —
Maybe the Thai government shouldn’t have deemed 12-year-old Mong Thongdee a
security threat.
That was the declaration that — in the public’s eye, at least — seemed to pit
stodgy officials against adolescent dreams.
For weeks, the media here has been smitten with Mong, a Thai-born
fourth-grader with a passion for flight. “Since first grade, I’ve loved
observing planes in the sky,” he told GlobalPost in a phone interview.
“One day, I started building little planes out of plastic and, later
on, out of paper.”
Mong’s designs have proved agile. After one of his planes stayed
aloft for 12.5 seconds, he qualified for an expenses-paid, global paper
airplane competition held Sept. 19-20 in Chiba, Japan. Mong’s flight
time has bested all others in his age bracket.
But Mong, born to Burmese construction workers in the Thai city of
Chiang Mai, is essentially a citizen of nowhere. Thai law insists that,
by parentage, Mong belongs to Burma — a neighboring country that does
not even recognize his birth. Though Mong calls Thailand home, he’s
always been a “temporary resident” at risk of deportation.
For stateless kids like Mong, a passport — much less citizenship —
is largely out of the question. Only through talent, tears and the
prime minister’s intervention has he secured temporary papers allowing
a one-time-only trip to Japan. More on Thailand:Rock 'N Roll PsyOpsThai teens
go for big eyes (Video)Thailand's new boat peopleAfter
Thailand’s Interior Ministry ruled that Mong’s travel request countered
a law protecting “national security,” Thai TV outlets broadcast footage
of him sobbing and begging for help. “He was so hurt,” said Yoon
Thongdee, the boy’s father. “He cried for a whole day.”
As the contest’s registration deadline drew close last week,
Premier Abhisit Vejjajiva decided to intervene. Mong’s next major TV
appearance was taped inside parliament. There, the premier and the
12-year-old — a visitor’s pass clipped to his pastel blue school
uniform — played with paper planes in front of cameras. The
bureaucratic barriers suddenly melted away.
Mong now appears Japan-bound via a special temporary passport. Each
night, he folds planes and does push-ups to grow “strong enough for the
competition,” his father said.
“I’ve been making my muscles strong,” Mong said. “The prime minister
told me to bring that championship back to Thailand and ‘fight, fight!’”

But your post isn't. Sorry, but it ain't enough.

From a recent discussion here with you:

YouTube is useful, but IMHO it needs some value-added, some
assessment, not just a link and three or four words. People are busy,
they should have some idea of what they're in for. Why is it
interesting/useful/funny/ridiculous/outrageous/whatever? Something
like a mini movie review, one pithy paragraph would do.

Your reply:

Yeah Keith but when you reply we get some meat.

And mine:

I'm not willing to do it for you, I really, really, don't have the

The pull is so weak a compass  takes some time for the needle to steady. Also
the needle has to be very free to respond at all.
Seems like too weak a force to be the cause.

the reason is given in the comments below the video, having to do with
the earth's magnetic fields...

The actual cause of this effect was later determined to be the Earth's
magnetic field.
Because I live around 45 degrees north latitude, the magnet pull on the
north magnets pole is mainly downward toward the ground. This additional
pull is very strong and simply causes the? north pole of the magnet to
tend to rotate downward more than the south pole.
This effect would change depending on where you live on the Earth.

Six Kamchatka Volcanoes Exhibit Activity Simultaneously For the First Time in
Sixty Years

11:49, 24.08.2009

The Gorely volcano may soon erupt

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. August 24. VOSTOK-MEDIA – For the first time
in sixty years six Kamchatka volcanoes exhibit activity simultaneously.
They are Koryaksky, Shiveluch, Bezimyanny, Gorely, Karymsky volcanoes
and Klyuchevskaya Sopka Volcano. All of them spout steam and gas almost
simultaneously.

“This is a rarity. For the first time in sixty years the six volcanoes show
activity,”
Kamchatka scientists from the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology
stated. At present they are trying to figure out the reasons behind the
increase of activity of the Kamchatka volcanoes. Experts assure that
the volcanoes pose no hazard to life for the time being. But the gas
and vapor releases do threaten the aviation.

For the time being only Shiveluch of all other active volcanoes poses a
threat. The volcanic vent is full-brimmed with viscous lava. Scientists
agree that Gorely volcano might soon erupt for the first time in twenty
two years. Water temperature of the lake located on top of the volcanic
mountain is rising, which may well indicate oncoming eruption. The
1829-meter high Gorely volcano is located 75 km from
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, reported Radio 3 station.

If you wanted to cut a beam you wouldnt use dust - the reaction would be too
rapid. You would use something about as coarse as ground coffee. Chemists call
it the
Goldschmidt process after the inventor.
I think the first samples of tungsten were made this way.

Hi Bob

Keith,
The link on my last post was dodgy. This one works better

http://www.worldarchitecturenews.com/index.php?fuseaction=wanappln.commentv
iewcomment_id=158

If not, the full article is available below.

As for facts: The discovery of nano-thermite in the WTC dust was published
in The Open Chemical Physics Journal in April 2009.

How big is nano-thermite dust? Microns, micrograms, or smaller than
that? Found amid about 500,000 tons of rubble, that included more
than 2,500 toxic contaminants and so on. Well, maybe. But, um,
wouldn't it have exploded? As I understand it (not very well)
nano-thermite totally explodes, that's the point of it - down to
atomic-level proximities. Hm, I was talking of pixie dust only a
few posts back, and now we have it, pixie dust, only it didn't
explode somehow.

By the way, the editor of the Open Chemical Physics Journal resigned
over the publication of the nano-thermite article. Actually it's just
an online journal. Also by the way, some or most of the authors
aren't just scientists who just happened along out of pure scientific
interest, they have a history of 9/11 conspiracy theory activism.
Some have since lost their jobs, which I suppose could mean that they
weren't as disinterested as they should have been, or, of course,
that TPTB were out to silence them (after the horses had fled).

All best

Keith

Regards,
Bob.

CONSPIRACY THEORY OR HIDDEN TRUTH? THE 9/11 ENIGMAS...
Richard Gage, AIA, Gregg Roberts, and David Chandler

Richard Gage, AIA has been a practicing San Francisco Bay Area architect for
more than 20 years, and is a registered member of the American Institute of
Architects. Most recently he worked on a $400M mixed-use facility in Las
Vegas NV. But he is also the founder and CEO of Architects Engineers for
9/11 Truth, now numbering over 800 A/E’s, calling for a new investigation
into the destruction of all 3 WTC high-rises on 9/11. Gage has spoken at
over 100 events, reaching 20 U.S. states and 8 countries. He has been
invited to present in 14 cities Australia, New Zealand, and Japan before the
end of this year. As the anniversary of the events approaches, Gage tells
WAN why he thinks there are hidden depths to the destruction of the World
Trade Centre...

In all likelihood, you are unaware of the most important facts involving the
destructions of the World Trade Center buildings. Nearly all the mainstream
information sources and government officials have kept crucial information
hidden from the public. This brief article will provide a clear explanation
as to what actually happened to the Twin Towers and Building 7 (WTC 7) on
September 11, 2001.

Architects Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth) is a non-partisan,
non-profit organization now numbering over 800 technical professionals and
thousands of other supporters dedicated to exposing the facts that point to
the explosive destruction of all three World Trade Center (WTC) high-rises..

We are calling for a new independent investigation empowered to subpoena and
question witnesses under oath. Well-documented facts prove the WTC
high-rises were destroyed by explosives. The implications are grave, but we
ask that you look at the facts. AE911Truth is also concerned that evidence
has been distorted and covered up by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST), the federal agency assigned to investigate the building
collapses.

World Trade Center – Building 7

47-storey WTC 7 before destruction

WTC 7 was a 47-story steel-framed high-rise 100 yards from the North Tower..
Even though no airplane hit it, it collapsed rapidly and totally on 9/11, in
the manner of a controlled demolition. Despite its suspicious collapse, the
9/11 Commission report does not even mention WTC 7. NIST left its analysis
of the WTC 7 collapse until 2008, seven years after the events, long after
all the rubble was destroyed. NIST claims WTC 7 collapsed due to “normal
office fires” which created a “new phenomenon” in high-rise catastrophes:
collapse caused by thermal expansion of beams. NIST claims this caused the
failure of a single column – the rest just followed.

Free-fall acceleration through 40,000 tons of structural steel?

NIST Forced to Acknowledge Free-Fall of WTC 7

In August 2008, NIST released the draft of its final report on Building 7.
In that draft NIST claims that the building took 40% longer than free-fall
time to collapse the first

Sure. Anyone who has ever seen the results of an explosion knows that the

there if the only blast was the truck. Blast from the truck would send rubble

The stargate project was spook remote viewing.

Does spook mean spy or ghost, in this context?

Stargate was devoted to **psychic** remote viewing, the purported
ability to psychically 'see' events, sites, or information from a
great distance. Bit superfluous to say it wasn't exactly successful.
Echelon works at least, on the other hand, for instance, as opposed
to pixie dust.

CIA put effort into it.

I know, but I don't think that gives it much cred. The Soviets tried
it too, that's why the US tried it. It achieved nothing.

Not as woo woo as you might think.

Totally woo woo, IMHO, just as I thought.

Sure, maybe some people are psychic or clairvoyant or even
telepathic, maybe everybody is, or could be, maybe that's how the
whole biosphere really works, who knows, but trying to use
clairvoyance as a reliable technique for intelligence gathering or to
support conspiracy theories is ludicrous.

Wikipedia will do, very easy, no need to go any further:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_Project

Anyway, is this to suggest that a wacko like long-retired ex-Major
General Stubblebine has some credibility with his 9/11 conspiracy
theories, or with anything else? Because of Stargate?

Stubblebine was forced to retire in 1984 and was replaced because of
his obsession with the paranormal.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_Project#Major_General_Albert_Stubblebine

Not very surprising - The primary mission of military intelligence
in the United States Army is to provide timely, relevant, accurate,
and synchronized intelligence and electronic warfare support to
tactical, operational and strategic-level commanders. Not a trivial
matter. If you were a field commander would you want someone like
Stubblebine doing that job for you?

How do you explain the deception in the YouTube title?

The headline says: U. S. Head of Military Intelligence Publically
    States 9/11 was Staged Event.
   ...
Ah, so he WAS a major general once, and indeed head of army
intelligence, but he retired **25 years ago**. Not quite the same
    thing eh.
    ...
Why the misleading headline? Not deliberate?

Hey, Kirk, do some checking first, will you, please?

It proves explosives were in the building which isnt easy to do like parking a
vehicle in the street. Federal buildings have security.
The conspirators deny as a matter of policy. Nixon was the mile marker in that
league.

Anyone familiar with explosives can attest to that. It really is simple
Push on something - where does it go? When an explosive turns into a gas it
creates a high pressure area and applies force to whatever obstructs it. That
force is outward from the center. The gvt story would have us believe rubble
flew 180 degrees from the thrust, ie into the thrust. impossible.

S. Head of Military Intelligence Publically

  ...
Ah, so he WAS a major general once, and indeed head of army

No conspiracy was needed.

Bin Laden knew what the U.S. wanted: an excuse for U.S. armies in the
Middle East.

The U.S. knew what Bin Laden wanted first: a major strike at the U.S.,

Source of HIN1 is probably a laboratory says New England Journal of Medicine

Monday, 07 September 2009 11:11

In a report that appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, scientists
say that the reemergence of the H1N1 virus in 1977 is unexplained and
probably represents reintroduction to humans from a laboratory source.

http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/full/NEJMra0904322

Figure 1. Emergence of Influenza A (H1N1) Viruses from Birds and Swine into
Humans.

The diagram shows the important events and processes in the emergence of
influenza A (H1N1) viruses during the past 91 years. Avian, swine, and human
populations are represented in the top, middle, and bottom of the diagram,
respectively. Epidemic or zoonotic viruses are shown as wide horizontal
arrows (white for avian viruses, light blue or pink for swine viruses, and
dark blue for human viruses). Cross-species transmissions are shown as
vertical dashed lines, with thick lines for transfers that gave rise to
sustained transmission in the new host and thin lines for those that were
transient and resulted in a self-limited number of cases. Principal dates
are shown along the bottom of the diagram. The disappearance of H1N1 in 1957
most likely represents competition by the emerging pandemic H2N2 strain in
the face of population immunity to H1N1. The reemergence in 1977 is
unexplained and probably represents reintroduction to humans from a
laboratory source.

return, they provide information to the government, which alarms the

(AAPS) announced that its members voted at their 57th annual meeting in St
Louis to pass a resolution calling for an end to mandatory childhood
vaccines. The resolution passed without a single no vote.

(NaturalNews) Vaccines are the quackery of modern medicine. Mass vaccination
programs not only fail to protect the population from infectious disease,
they actually accelerate the spread of disease in many cases.

Many website have cropped up over the last few years to counter the
pro-vaccine propaganda put out by drug companies (who profit from vaccines)
and health regulators (who serve the drug companies). One of those sites is
www.VaccinationDebate.com , which lists the following historical facts about
vaccines:

.. In the USA in 1960, two virologists discovered that both polio vaccines
were contaminated with the SV 40 virus which causes cancer in animals as
well as changes in human cell tissue cultures. Millions of children had been
injected with these vaccines. (Med Jnl of Australia 17/3/1973 p555)

.. In 1871-2, England, with 98% of the population aged between 2 and 50
vaccinated against smallpox, it experienced its worst ever smallpox outbreak
with 45,000 deaths. During the same period in Germany, with a vaccination
rate of 96%, there were over 125,000 deaths from smallpox.
The Hadwen Documents

.. In Germany, compulsory mass vaccination against diphtheria commenced in
1940 and by 1945 diphtheria cases were up from 40,000 to 250,000. (Don't Get
Stuck, Hannah Allen)

.. In 1967, Ghana was declared measles free by the World Health Organisation
after 96% of its population was vaccinated. In 1972, Ghana experienced one
of its worst measles outbreaks with its highest ever mortality rate. (Dr H
Albonico, MMR Vaccine Campaign in Switzerland, March 1990)

.. In 1977, Dr Jonas Salk who developed the first polio vaccine, testified
along with other scientists, that mass inoculation against polio was the
cause of most polio cases throughout the USA since 1961. (Science 4/4/77
Abstracts )

.. In the UK between 1970 and 1990, over 200,000 cases of whooping cough
occurred in fully vaccinated children. (Community Disease Surveillance
Centre, UK)

.. In the 1970's a tuberculosis vaccine trial in India involving 260,000
people revealed that more cases of TB occurred in the vaccinated than the
unvaccinated. (The Lancet 12/1/80 p73)

.. In 1978, a survey of 30 States in the US revealed that more than half of
the children who contracted measles had been adequately vaccinated. (The
People's Doctor, Dr R Mendelsohn)

.. The February 1981 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association
found that 90% of obstetricians and 66% of pediatricians refused to take the
rubella vaccine.

.. In 1979, Sweden abandoned the whooping cough vaccine due to its
ineffectiveness. Out of 5,140 cases in 1978, it was found that 84% had been
vaccinated three times! (BMJ 283:696-697, 1981)

.. In the USA, the cost of a single DPT shot had risen from 11 cents in 1982
to $11.40 in 1987. The manufacturers of the vaccine were putting aside $8
per shot to cover legal costs and damages they were paying out to parents of
brain damaged children and children who died after vaccination. (The Vine,
Issue 7, January 1994, Nambour, Qld)

.. In Oman between 1988 and 1989, a polio outbreak occurred amongst thousands
of fully vaccinated children. The region with the highest attack rate had
the highest vaccine coverage. The region with the lowest attack rate had the
lowest vaccine coverage. (The Lancet, 21/9/91)

.. In 1990, a UK survey involving 598 doctors revealed that over 50% of them
refused to have the Hepatitis B vaccine despite belonging to the high risk
group urged to be vaccinated. (British Med Jnl, 27/1/1990)

.. In the USA, from July 1990 to November 1993, the US Food and Drug
Administration counted a total of 54,072 adverse reactions following
vaccination. The FDA admitted that this number represented only 10% of the
real total, because most doctors were refusing to report vaccine injuries.
In other words, adverse reactions for this period exceeded half a million!
(National Vaccine Information Centre, March 2, 1994)

.. In 1990, the Journal of the American Medical Association had an article on
measles which stated Although more than 95% of school-aged children

Ring Them Bells
Bob Dylan
Oh Mercy (1989)

Ring them bells ye heathen from the city that dreams
Ring them bells from the sanctuaries 'cross the valleys and streams
For they're deep and they're wide
And the world's on its side
And time is running backwards and so is the bride

Ring them bells Saint Peter where the four winds blow
Ring them bells with an iron hand so the people will know
Oh it's rush hour now
On the wheel and the plow
And the sun is going down upon the sacred cow

Ring them bells sweet Martha for the poor man's son
Ring them bells so the world will know that God is one
For the shepherd is asleep
Where the willows weep
And the mountains are filled with lost sheep

Ring them bells for the blind and the deaf
Ring them bells for all of us who are left
Ring them bells for the chosen few
Who will judge the many
When the game is through
Ring them bells for the time that flies
For the child that cries
When innocence dies

Ring them bells Saint Catherine from the top of the room
Ring them from the fortress for the lilies that bloom
For the lines are long
And the fighting is strong
And they're breaking down the distance between right and wrong

Hi Bob

The subject heading claims game theory trumps all.

Freud said it was sex. :-)

Does that include our
valiant attempts here to wean ourselves off fossil fuel? Are we just
whistling in the dark while the game players manipulate us?

It's scary stuff, but there's lots of scary stuff about these days,
many different brands.

IMHO it might help explain why Israel is being so overconfident and
in-your-face, if their game theorists keep telling them they'll get
away with it.

Do they really get away with it?

Meister games theorist Aumann won the Nobel Prize in 2005, and that's
also about when the AIPAC/Israel Lobby/whatever started losing its
death-grip on policy and public opinion in the US and the rest of the
Western world. (Remember the Oil and Israel thread?) Meanwhile
Jimmy Carter et al, Mearsheimer and Walt et al, and a rising tide of
critics have been joined by Jewish organisations in most Western
countries in opposing colonial Zionism, the Western media publish
reports and views on Israel and Palestine that wouldn't have seen the
light of day five years ago, and the American public was (is) just as
outraged as everyone else by last year's attack on Gaza. And so on
and on, wherever you look, cracks in the concrete.

Nonetheless, so far, they got away with it, they didn't have to pay
yet. Maybe the Israeli strategists share Dick Cheney's opinion of
public opinion. He didn't pay yet either. But would you like to be
Dick Cheney?

Anyway, even if they really are both winning and getting away with
it, they're only sowing dragon's teeth.

Manipulating us, I don't think so. Try this though...

[Biofuel] Depopulation? In their own words

2009-08-16 Thread Kirk McLoren

Depopulation? Several Globalists in Their Own
Words

Is there motive and intent that can be gleaned from the words of
several global leaders? Perhaps, the best way to answer this question
is to look for consistent patterns in the quotes of several global
leaders, themselves.

Society has no business to permit degenerates to reproduce their kind

—Theodore Roosevelt

Malthus has been vindicated; reality is finally catching up with
Malthus. The Third World is overpopulated, it’s an economic mess, and
there’s no way they could get out of it with this fast-growing
population. Our philosophy is: back to the village.

—Dr. Arne Schiotz, World Wildlife Fund Director of Conservation, stated
such, ironically, in 1984:

“A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from
present levels, would be ideal.

—Ted Turner, in an interview with Audubon magazine

“There is a single theme behind all our work–we must reduce
population levels. Either governments do it our way, through nice clean
methods, or they will get the kinds of mess that we have in El
Salvador, or in Iran or in Beirut. Population is a political problem.
Once population is out of control, it requires authoritarian
government, even fascism, to reduce it….

“Our program in El Salvador didn’t work. The infrastructure was not
there to support it. There were just too goddamned many people…. To
really reduce population, quickly, you have to pull all the males into
the fighting and you have to kill significant numbers of fertile age
females…. The quickest way to reduce population is through famine,
like in Africa, or through disease like the Black Death….

—Thomas Ferguson, State Department Office of Population Affairs

A cancer is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells; the
population explosion is an uncontrolled multiplication of people We
must shift our efforts from the treatment of the symptoms to the
cutting out of the cancer. The operation will demand many apparently
brutal and heartless decisions.

—Stanford Professor Paul Ehrlich in The Population Bomb

In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000
people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it is just as bad
not to say it.

—J. Cousteau, 1991 explorer and UNESCO courier

I believe that human overpopulation is the fundamental problem on
Earth Today and, We humans have become a disease, the Humanpox.

—Dave Foreman, Sierra Club and co founder of Earth First!

We must speak more clearly about sexuality, contraception, about
abortion, about values that control population, because the ecological
crisis, in short, is the population crisis. Cut the population by 90%
and there aren't enough people left to do a great deal of ecological
damage.

—Mikhail Gorbachev

Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los
Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is
especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat
from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very
existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to
deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the
unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be
willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to
them by the World Government.

—Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.

—Dr. Henry Kissinger New York Times, Oct. 28, 1973

Depopulation should be the highest priority of foreign policy
towards the third world, because the US economy will require large and
increasing amounts of minerals from abroad, especially from less
developed countries..

—Dr. Henry Kissinger

“Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac,” and “The elderly are useless eaters”

—Dr. Henry Kissinger

“World population needs to be decreased by 50%”

—Dr. Henry Kissinger

We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is
the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World
Order.

—David Rockefeller

“War and famine would not do. Instead, disease offered the most
efficient and fastest way to kill the billions that must soon die if
the population crisis is to be solved. AIDS is not an efficient killer
because it is too slow. My favorite candidate for eliminating 90
percent of the world's population is airborne Ebola (Ebola Reston),
because it is both highly lethal and it kills in days, instead of
years. “We've got airborne diseases with 90 percent mortality in
humans. Killing humans. Think about that. “You know, the bird flu's
good, too. For everyone

The Chinese Gold Market
By Simon Black · 2 comments

I’ve
been spending a lot of time this week talking to my sources in China,
one of whom is inside one of the country’s sovereign wealth funds
(SWF).
He could not discuss the details of the Rio Tinto bribery scandal,
but indicated that it was far more about saving face and establishing
position than anything else.
He also indicated that the SWF analysts were working around the
clock trying to put deals together… for China it’s a race against the
clock for how fast they can convert their $2 trillion in US dollar
holdings into strategic assets– namely oil and gold.
At today’s deflated prices, putting together a really good billion
dollar deal is a difficult thing to do. Putting together 2,000 of them
is impossible.  Doing it before the dollar collapses? Not a Chinaman’s
chance. And they know it.
So as a hedge, the government appears to be pumping up demand for
gold and silver among the public, possibly preparing them for an
imminent dollar decline.
I asked Christine, my China insider you heard from last week, to
shed some light on the Chinese gold market to provide some clarity:

It’s funny you ask, I just got off the phone with one of the key executives at
the Shanghai Gold Exchange.
You know, for the past 50 years, the Chinese government has
controlled the distribution of all types of gold. They dictated prices
and forbade citizens from owning or trading any type of precious metal.
It didn’t matter if you were an individual investor, a gold miner or a
processor…it was state asset.
In 1959, if you were caught with gold in your possession you were
thrown in jail. The result of this policy has been widespread
indifference and very little understanding for precious metals as asset
class or sound money.
The government is now taking radical measures to change that.
Fast forward to 2009– the FIRST year that the Chinese public is
allowed to own physical gold or silver.  The government is now trying
to drum “gold/silver as an investment” into their heads at every corner.
Banking products, investment products, checking accounts linked to
gold.  In fact, Chinese have more precious metal investment options
than Americans, and the statistics are alarming:
In 1950, China had next to nothing in gold reserves. Today they rank
10th globally, and they are frantically mining for more on their own
soil.
For the past half a century, the Chinese had the lowest per capita
consumption of gold in the world. Next year, Chinese gold demand will
likely surpass that of India.
This year, the government banned silver from being exported… and by
July, it was being promoted as an “investment” to the Chinese public on
the 6 o’clock news.
You do the math– how does that affect global demand if just 10% of Chinese
begin to perceive silver as an investment?
Will the Chinese turn into goldbugs overnight? No. Over the next 5 years?
Probably, yes.
I like your long-term silver option strategy for this reason.  Even
the smallest shift in Chinese investor/consumer preferences can
dramatically alter global demand and commodity prices.
From what I’m seeing from the ground, the Chinese government is
engaging in one of the most explosive financial marketing campaigns in
history.  Instead of Maoist propaganda, though, they are attempting to
change the entire perception of  gold/silver in the Chinese public.
Simply put, the Chinese government is trying to trigger a national gold
craze…and it’s working.
The Chinese public now has gold trading platforms on steroids.
You can buy silver bullion or gold bars at any Chinese bank in four
different sizes.  Wealth management products tied to gold are
skyrocketing in popularity, and the public can now instantly buy, sell,
and trade gold 24 hours a day in five different forms with different
eight types of services.
Also, for the first time in history, Chinese investors can even
trade gold abroad (in London) with the swipe of a “Lucky Gold” card.
I can’t even get Bank of America to open a foreign currency account.

Renewable energy source takes off: BlackLight Power, by Fred Burks,
August 2, US Intelligence Examiner

... why haven't you heard about BlackLight Power and its highly
unusual new energy resource? Could it be that the media and the
global elite don't want people to know about energy sources which
could seriously threaten the current oil-dominated energy economy?

Right, it's a plot by the global elite. That's a bit of a telltale.
So many energy schemes say that, it's all a plot by whoever, and so
many of them never seem to come to anything, and meanwhile there are
real energy solutions that are working now, and with ne'er a claim
about conspiracies and cover-ups. Which is not to say that there
aren't any conspiracies and cover-ups, there most certainly are,
http://www.mail-archive.com/biofuel@sustainablelists.org/msg10943.html
eg, but still.

Fred Burks says it often:

Hundreds of military and government witnesses have gone on record
claiming a major cover-up around UFOs. Among them are a former chief
of the CIA, the former chiefs of defense of the UK and Canada, and
two NASA astronauts, including Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk
on the moon. Could the moon landing video tapes have contained some
images with UFOs or other images that they didn't want the public to
see?

Anyway, whether at 2 cents or whatever, one thing it doesn't seem to
say is whether or not it's actually producing power, beyond the
laboratory toy stage and licensing the rights and so on. Or did I get
it all wrong. (I didn't read the PR puffs.)

Best

[Biofuel] Fw: CIA director issues a warning to Congress

2009-08-04 Thread Kirk McLoren

wsws.org

CIA director issues a warning to Congress
4 August 2009

In an extraordinary column published Sunday in the Washington Post,
the director of the CIA, Leon Panetta, issued a blunt warning to the
US Congress to forego any investigation of the agency’s operations
under the Bush administration.

“I’ve become increasingly concerned that the focus on the past,
especially in Congress, threatens to distract the CIA from its
crucial core missions: intelligence collection, analysis and covert
action,” Panetta writes.

In other words, accounting for the crimes of the past must not be
allowed to interfere with the crimes of the present and the future.

Panetta’s essay is ostensibly aimed at reforging what he sees as the
proper relationship between an elected Congress and US imperialism’s
powerful covert intelligence agency. Essentially, he argues that this
relationship should be founded on “consensus”; i.e., Congress
agreeing to the secret operations in which the CIA is engaged and
keeping its mouth shut.

“We need broad agreement between the executive and legislative
branches on what our intelligence organizations do and why,” Panetta
writes. Presumably, he is referring to the bipartisan support that
has long existed in Washington for crimes ranging from the
assassination of popular leaders like Patrice Lumumba to the
overthrow of elected governments in Iran, Guatemala, Chile and
elsewhere, to the waging of covert wars from Nicaragua to Angola that
claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands.

Panetta complains that the “consensus” has broken down as a result of
policies carried out over the last eight years, citing in particular
“the detention and interrogation of terrorists,” by which he means
the abduction, arbitrary imprisonment, “extraordinary rendition,”
torture and murder of thousands of individuals—most of them guilty of
nothing—in the so-called “war on terrorism.”

The breakdown of consensus, he adds, has led to “growing frustration
and more frequent leaks of properly classified information.”

What “properly classified information,” he doesn’t say. Among the
leaks that have shaken the CIA in recent years were those dealing
with its “black sites”—secret prisons scattered around the globe
where people were subjected to torture—and the existence and
destruction of videotapes showing CIA personnel engaged in torture.

The secrecy surrounding such practices was not a matter of the CIA
having “properly classified information,” but rather its cover-up of
crimes, which is itself a criminal offense.

Claiming that the CIA has abandoned the illegal policies carried out
under the Bush administration, Panetta stresses that “the CIA
implements presidential decisions; we do not make them.” He adds,
“Yet my agency continues to pay a price for enduring disputes over
policies that no longer exist.”

Torture, assassination and arbitrary detention are violations of both
US and international law for which no one responsible has paid any
price. The argument made by Panetta boils down to the defense made
infamous during the Nuremberg war crimes trials at the close of World
War II: “We were only following orders.”

Rejected then, it remains illegitimate today under international law,
which also requires that governments prosecute citizens who are
credibly charged with engaging in torture. President Obama—like his
predecessor in the White House—has effectively repudiated the
treaties on torture signed by Washington by publicly guaranteeing a
blanket amnesty for the CIA.

But Panetta doesn’t stop at those at the CIA who were “following
orders.” He makes it clear that impunity must be extended to those
who gave the orders as well.

“The time has come for both Democrats and Republicans to take a deep
breath and recognize the reality of what happened after Sept. 11,
2001,” Panetta insists. “The question is not the sincerity or the
patriotism of those who were dealing with the aftermath of Sept. 11.
The country was frightened, and political leaders were trying to
respond as best they could.”

What nonsense! Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and others were not patriotic
leaders “trying to respond as best they could” on behalf of a
“frightened country.” They headed a conspiratorial cabal in the White
House that used the attacks as a pretext to launch wars of aggression
long in preparation against Afghanistan and Iraq—wars aimed not at
protecting the American people, but asserting US hegemony over the
oil-rich regions of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf.

They deliberately fomented and exploited fear to secure acquiescence
to a policy of militarist violence abroad and far-ranging attacks on
democratic rights at home.

What role the CIA itself played in allowing and even facilitating
these attacks—attributed to the agency’s former “asset” Osama bin
Laden—is no doubt another area of the past from which Panetta

[Biofuel] 545 versus 300,000,000

2009-08-03 Thread Kirk McLoren

   545 vs 300,000,000

EVERY  CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS
SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE.  READ IT  AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT  OUR CURRENT
POLITICAL DEBACLE.

Charley  Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.

545  PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world  who create problems and then
campaign against them..

Have you ever  wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against
deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if  all the politicians are against inflation and high
taxes, WHY do we have  inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget.  The president does.

You and I don't have the  Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.
The House of  Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress  does..

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You  and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve  Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one  president, and nine Supreme Court
justices equates to 545 human  beings out of the 300 million are directly,
legally, morally,  and individually responsible for the domestic problems that
plague  this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve  Board because that problem was
created by the  Congress.   In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty
to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central
bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a  sound reason.. They
have no legal authority.  They have no  ability to coerce a senator, a
congressman, or a president to do one  cotton-picking thing.   I don't care if
they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.  The  politician has the
power to accept or reject it. No matter what  the lobbyist promises, it is the
legislator's responsibility  to determine  how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy  convincing you that what
they did is not their fault.    They cooperate in this common con regardless of
party.  What  separates a politician from a normal human being is an  excessive
amount of gall.   No normal human being would have the gall of a  Speaker, who
stood up and criticized the President for creating  deficits..   The president
can only propose a budget.    He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the  land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of  Representatives for originating and approving
appropriations and taxes.   Who is the speaker of the House?    Nancy Pelosi.
She is  the leader of the majority party. She and  fellow House members, not
the president, can approve any budget they want.  If the president vetoes it,
they can pass it over his veto if  they agree  to..

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can  not replace 545
people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and
irresponsibility.   I can't think of a  single domestic problem  that is not
traceable directly to those 545 people.  When you fully  grasp the plain truth
that 545 people exercise the power of the federal  government, then it must
follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it  unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in  the red ..

If the Army Marines are in IRAQ ,  it's because they want them in IRAQ.

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not
available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift  the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and
whose jobs they can  abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can
reject; to  regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom
they can  take this power.  Above all, do not let them con you into  the belief
that there exists disembodied mystical forces like the  economy, inflation,
or politics that prevent them from doing  what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they  alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the  power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their
bosses.

Provided the voters have the  gumption to manage their own   employees...

We should vote all of  them out of office and clean up their mess!

[Biofuel] 10 Minute Charge for Student-Built Electric Car

2009-08-02 Thread Kirk McLoren

‘ten minute’ charge will give you a mileage of about 200 miles.

MIT students are trying to produce an alternative to fossil fuel driven cars.
They are trying to build up a car that is clean and green but provides good
competition to recent automobiles. They claim that their electric cars can be
charged fully within ten minutes. Read more at http://www.earthalternate.co.cc/

[Biofuel] funniest thing Ive read in ages

2009-08-02 Thread Kirk McLoren

For those that remember when we were young and able to run around with a sharp
stick, play with fire and life was good.

Around age 10, my dad got me one of those little badass compound bow beginner
kits. Of course, the first month I went around our land sticking arrows in
anything that could be stuck by an arrow. Did you know that a 1955 40-horse
Farmall tractor will take six rounds before it goes down? Tough sumbich..

That got boring, so being the 10 yr. old Dukes of Hazard fan that I was, I
quickly advanced to taking strips of cut up T-shirt doused in chainsaw gas tied
around the end and was sending flaming arrows all over the place. Keep in mind
this was 99.999% humidity swampland so there really was not any fire danger.
I'll put it this way - a set of posthole diggers and a 3 ft. hole and you had
yourself a well.

One summer afternoon, I was shooting flaming arrows into a large rotten oak
stump in our backyard. I looked over under the carport and saw a shiny brand
new can of starting fluid (ether). The light bulb went off. I grabbed the can
and set it on the stump. I thought that it would probably just spray out in a
disappointing manner... Lets face it, to a 10 yr. old mouth-breather like
myself, ether really doesn't sound flammable. So, I went back into the house
and got a 1-pound can of pyrodex (black powder for muzzle loader rifles).

At this point, I set the can of ether on the stump and opened up the can of
black powder. My intentions were to sprinkle a little bit around the ether can
but it all sort of dumped out on me. No biggie... 1 lb. pyrodex and 16 oz.
ether should make a loud pop, kind of like a firecracker you know?

You know what? Screw that. I'm going back in the house for the other can. Yes,
I got a second can of pyrodex and dumped it too. Now we're cookin'.

I stepped back about 15 ft. and lit the two-stroke arrow. I drew the nock to my
cheek and took aim. As I released I heard a clunk as the arrow launched from my
bow. In a slow motion time frame, I turned to see my dad getting out of the
truck... OH SHIT! He just got home from work. So help me it took 10 minutes for
that arrow to go from my bow to the can. My dad was walking towards me in slow
motion with a weird look in his eyes. I turned back towards my target just in
time to see the arrow pierce the starting fluid can right at the bottom. Right
through the main pile of pyrodex and into the can. Oh Shit!

When the shock wave hit it knocked me off my feet. I don't know if it was the
actual compression wave that threw me back or just a reflex jerk back from 235
decibels of sound. I caught a half a millisecond glimpse of the violence during
the initial explosion and I will tell you there was dust, grass, and bugs all
hovering 1 ft. above the ground as far as I could see. It was like a little low
to the ground layer of dust fog full of grasshoppers, spiders, and a crawfish
or two. The daylight turned purple.

Let me repeat this...THE DAYLIGHT TURNED PURPLE. There was a big sweetgum tree
out by the gate going into the pasture. Notice I said was. That
sum-of-a-biatch got up and ran off.

So here I am, on the ground blown completely out of my shoes with my
Thundercats t-shirt shredded, my dad is on the other side of the carport having
what I can only assume is a Vietnam flashback:

ECHO BRAVO CHARLIE YOUR BRINGIN' EM IN TOO CLOSE! CEASE FIRE. GODDALLMIGHTY
CEASE FIRE! His hat has blown off and is 30 ft. behind him in the driveway
All windows on the north side of the house are blown out and there is a slow
rolling mushroom cloud about 2000 ft over our backyard. There is a Honda 185
three-wheeler parked on the other side of the yard and the fenders are drooped
down and are now touching the tires.

I wish I knew what I said to my dad at that moment. I don't know - I know I
said something. I couldn't hear. I couldn't hear inside my own head. I don't
think he heard me either...not that it would really matter. I don't remember
much from this point on. I said something, felt a sharp pain, and then woke up
later. I felt a sharp pain, blacked out, woke later repeat this process for
an hour or so and you get the idea. I remember at one point my mom had to give
me CPR so dad could beat me some more. Bring him back to life so dad can kill
him again. Thanks Mom.

One thing is for sure... I never had to mow around that stump again.. Mom had
been griping about that thing for years and dad never did anything about it. I
stepped up to the plate and handled business.

Dad sold his muzzleloader a week or so later. And I still have some sort of
bone growth abnormality either from the blast or from the beating. Or both..

I guess what I'm trying to say is, get your kids into archery. It is good
discipline and will teach them skills they can use later on in life.

I added the following comment:

Very little attention has been given to another lethal component included in
MF-59, the oil-based adjuvant used in Novartis’ experimental vaccine, namely
the glycoprotein GP120, which is also used in most experimental AIDS
vaccines! According to Dr. Veljkovic’s assessment “the recombination
hotspots in transgenic DNA may interact with the recombination signals
flanking the V3 loop of the gp120 gene in AIDS vaccines to generate yet more
exotic viruses”! The fact that the global population has been force-fed
genetically modified food, containing antibiotic-resistan t marker genes and
viral promoters such as the cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV), which is
closely related to the Hepatitis B and HIV virus and has a recombination
“hotspot”, would effectively turn those receiving a vaccine containing a
live virus and GP120 into “generators” of novel viral diseases never seen in
mankind before.

In addition, Novartis’ vaccines, such as OPTAFLU, for instance would also
constitute a major scoop for the multi-billion dollar HIV/AIDS industry, as

false-positive results in serology tests using the ELISA method to detect
antibodies against HIV-1, Hepatatis C and HTLV-1, which may be due to the
IgM response to the vaccine. What a brilliant idea to inflate HIV statistics
and push toxic antiretroviral drugs on healthy people, which no doubt
happens on a daily basis in South Africa where 60 other diseases prevalent
in Africa in addition to flu and pregnancy would also give a false-positive
reading.

Please see Dr. Veljko Veljkovic’s assessment of gp120, which is also added
to most experimental HIV vaccines and other vaccines injected into our kids:
http://www.i- sis.org.uk/ isisnews/ i-sisnews11- 19.php
The culprit viral gene
The intended vaccines all contain gp120, a glycoprotein (protein decorated
with side-chains of carbohydrates) belonging to the envelope of the human
AIDS virus, HIV-1. The candidates include recombinant HIV proteins and
peptides (subunit vaccines), HIV-1 or SIV (the monkey AIDS virus), killed or
‘attenuated’, ie, rendered harmless by successive passage in cultured cells,
and a wide range of recombinant viral, bacterial and plasmid vectors
expressing HIV proteins. (Plasmids are pieces of parasitic genetic material
existing outside the cell’s genome, and are replicated by the cell
independently of the cell’s genome.)

HIV researchers Dr. Veljko Veljkovic and his colleagues in Belgrade
Yugoslavia, have shown that the gp120, is similar to the part of human
immunoglobulin (antibody) proteins (Ig) involved in binding foreign
antigens, a crucial step in the immune response. Thus, any AIDS vaccine
containing the gp120 glycoprotein or the gene coding for it could strongly
interfere with the immune system and make the host more vulnerable to the
virus. And in the longer term, it could accelerate disease progression in
HIV patients that do not yet have symptoms.

But the gp120 gene has other properties that pose an even greater threat to
the vaccinated population. It contains ‘recombination hotspots’ similar to
those in bacteria and viruses such as Haemophilus influenzae, Mycobacterium
tuberculosis, hepatitis B virus and herpes simplex virus, that often
co-infect with the HIV, and also similar to recombination elements found in
immunoglobulin genes and oncogenes (genes associated with cancer) in the
human host. Recombination hotspots are breakpoints at which genetic exchange
or recombination occurs much more frequently than usual. Recombination of
HIV with bacteria and viruses would generate new pathogens. Within the human
host, recombination with human genes would promote chromosomal
rearrangements and formation of abnormal immuno-globulins, thus undermining
immune responses. HIV-1 sequences integrated into the genome can act as
retrotransposons (jumping genes) that can mutate genes by jumping into them,
and some of the mutations may trigger cancer [1].

Dr. Veljkovic’s team, in collaboration with researchers in UK, Italy and US,
have already found evidence of recombination between gp120 and a gene from
Haemophilus influenzae [2]. Recombination between an HIV gene and Mycoplasm
fermentans has been implicated in ‘Gulf war syndrome’ [3] affecting a high
proportion of soldiers from the United States and the United Kingdom who
served in the Gulf war. A new subtype of HIV-1 may also have resulted from
recombination between HIV-1 and SIV [4].

The proponents of the AIDS vaccination trials argue that the desperate
situation precipitated by the AIDS epidemic justifies acceptance of the
‘small risks’ involved. But Veljkovic and his colleagues

Ten Things You're Not Supposed to Know about the Swine Flu Vaccineby Mike
Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) She was deathly afraid of the flu.
So she asked her doc what she should do.
He jabbed her unseen
With a swine flu vaccine
Blurting, Darling, I haven't a clue.
- by the Health Ranger

Let's not beat around the bush on this issue: The swine flu vaccines now being
prepared for mass injection into infants, children, teens and adults have never
been tested and won't be tested before the injections begin. In Europe, where
flu vaccines are typically tested on hundreds (or thousands) of people before
being unleashed on the masses, the European Medicines Agency is allowing
companies to skip the testing process entirely.

And yet, amazingly, people are lining up to take the vaccine, absent any safety
testing whatsoever. When the National Institutes of Health in the U.S.
announced a swine flu vaccine trial beginning in early August, it was inundated
with phone calls and emails from people desperate to play the role of human
guinea pigs. The power of fear to herd sheeple into vaccine injections is
simply amazing...

Back in Europe, of course, everybody gets to be a guinea pig since no testing
will be done on the vaccine at all. Even worse, the European vaccines will be
using adjuvants -- chemicals used to multiply the potency of the active
ingredients in vaccines.

Notably, there is absolutely no safety data on the use of adjuvants in infants
and expectant mothers -- the two groups being most aggressively targeted by the
swine flu vaccine pushers. The leads us to the disturbing conclusion that the
swine flu vaccine could be a modern medical disaster. It's untested and
un-tried. Its ingredients are potentially quite dangerous, and the adjuvants
being used in the European vaccines are suspected of causing neurological
disorders.

Paralyzed by vaccinesI probably don't need to remind you that in 1976, a failed
swine flu vaccine caused irreparable damage to the nervous systems of hundreds
of people, paralyzing many. Medical doctors gave the problem a name, of course,
to make it sound like they knew what they were talking about: Guillain-Barre
syndrome. (Notably, they never called it Toxic Vaccine Syndrome because that
would be too informative. )

But the fact remains that doctors never knew how the vaccines caused these
severe problems, and if the same event played out today, all the doctors and
vaccine pushers would undoubtedly deny any link between the vaccines and
paralysis altogether. (That's what's happening today with the debate over
vaccines and autism: Complete denial.)

In fact, there are a whole lot of things you'll never be told by health
authorities about the upcoming swine flu vaccine. For your amusement, I've
written down the ten most obvious ones and published them below.

Ten things you're not supposed to know about the swine flu vaccine(At least,
not by anyone in authority... )

#1 - The vaccine production was rushed and the vaccine has never been tested
on humans. Do you like to play guinea pig for Big Pharma? If so, line up for
your swine flu vaccine this fall...

#2 - Swine flu vaccines contain dangerous adjuvants that cause an inflammatory
response in the body. This is why they are suspected of causing autism and
other neurological disorders.

#3 - The swine flu vaccine could actually increase your risk of death from
swine flu by altering (or suppressing) your immune system response. There is
zero evidence that even seasonal flu shots offer any meaningful protection for
people who take the jabs. Vaccines are the snake oil of modern medicine.

#4 - Doctors still don't know why the 1976 swine flu vaccines paralyzed so many
people. And that means they really have no clue whether the upcoming vaccine
might cause the same devastating side effects. (And they're not testing it,
either...)

#5 - Even if the swine flu vaccine kills you, the drug companies aren't
responsible. The U.S. government has granted drug companies complete immunity
against vaccine product liability. Thanks to that blanket immunity, drug
companies have no incentive to make safe vaccines, because they only get paid
based on quantity, not safety (zero liability).

#6 - No swine flu vaccine works as well as vitamin D to protect you from
influenza. That's an inconvenient scientific fact that the U.S. government, the
FDA and Big Pharma hope the people never realize.

#7 - Even if the swine flu vaccine actually works, mathematically speaking if
everyone else around you gets the vaccine, you don't need one! (Because it
can't spread through the population you hang with.) So even if you believe in
the vaccine, all you need to do is encourage your friends to go get
vaccinated.. ..

#8 - Drug companies are making billions of dollars from the production of swine
flu vaccines. That money comes out of your pocket -- even if you don't

[Biofuel] Fw: Scientific Research Ignored By The Medical Industry

2009-07-23 Thread Kirk McLoren

I think the sentence below is key:
Dr. Rath’s research further revealed that once the body stores 1.1 pounds of
these aminos per 150 pounds body weight, NO DISEASE will spread through the
body. That means it can stop the spread of virus. This protocol was used for
HIV research and it proved just that. It stopped the spread of HIV as well as
any other viruses, in fact all viruses.

BtW when you go to google books just enter vaccines as search. There are oodles
of books that display all the text as they are older. In this case they are the
ones you want as there was extensive debate in England re Jenner. Lots of great
statistics and observations.

Scientific Research Ignored By The Medical Industry Still Remains Undisputed
Filed Under Cancer, Natural Healing, Natural Solutions, Nutrition, Organic, Sea
Salts
By Emjae Johnson
Research that is “undisputed” is evidence that is accepted as truth. Have you
ever wondered why undisputed scientific research that was excellent enough to
be awarded the NOBEL Prize has never been used, even ignored by the medical
industry?

Cause of Cancer Discovered Over 70 Years Ago
Cancer is now the number one killer among all diseases in the U.S. Experts tell
us that 1 in 3 will get some form of cancer. The medical industry has little to
offer the cancer patient in the way of effective treatments, in fact, they have
been offering the same three treatments for more than 40 years, chemotherapy,
radiation and surgical removal.
Even so, rarely will you hear a doctor reveal to their patients the truth about
cancer treatment survival rates. They most likely will not do so because they
are so very low. The National Cancer Institute has stated that the survival
rate for Chemotherapy is less than 5.9% and Radiation treatments less than
12.8%. These are startling statistics but yet, generally, no other treatments
are offered to the Cancer patient. I cannot speak for anyone else but when I
went to school less that 13% was considered a failing grade!
It is a fact that over 75 years ago, Dr. Otto Warburg discovered the cause of
Cancer was due to a lack of oxygen at the cellular level causing a low pH
(acidity) at the cellular level and was awarded the NOBEL prize TWICE for his
research. It seems logical that if this research is true, that our pH, or
oxygen level, should be tested on a regular basis by our medical professionals.
If keeping a high oxygen level in our bodies will help keep cancer from forming
in our bodies why are we not being educated by the medical industry to do so?
It would truly only be a matter of some dietary changes and lifestyle
recommendations. It is hard to say what the benefit is to not informing the
public of this research.
Additionally, two more scientific minds, Dr. Keith Brewer and H.E. Sartori,
built upon the research of Dr. Otto Warburg and found that raising a cell’s
oxygen or pH to 8.0 creates an environment that a cancer cell cannot survive
in. In other words, a cancer cell thrives in an arena of low oxygen, sort of
like the carp that live in polluted ponds. Once the cell’s oxygen is raised the
cancer cell does not feel at home anymore to the point that it dies. It seems
that the answer to surviving cancer is to raise your body’s pH, or oxygen level.
[It should be stated here that H.E. Sartori was imprisoned for twenty-five
years for claiming he had a cure for cancer. He now resides overseas and
continues his research on cancer.]
Mineral Ascorbates: Effect on Heart Disease and Diabetes
Dr. Linus Pauling, another NOBEL Prize winner, discovered that the human body
needs ascorbates and no longer produces its own (nutrients which cost only
pennies a day to use.) These ascorbates are essential for healing and restoring
our connective tissue, that would be the glue that holds us together. Without
ascorbates you could say we are pretty much all falling apart.
Further, Dr. Linus Pauling with the help of Dr. Mathias Rath discovered that
only 3 grams a day of mineral ascorbates were sufficient to prevent heart
disease, the #2 killer.
Ascorbates have been shown to help diabetes. At the famous Stanford University
Med School in California, diabetic Dr. Dice found that by taking ascorbates on
a regular basis he could reduce his requirement for insulin by 2.5 units for
each additional gram of ascorbate he took . By the 23rd day of this regimen he
was taking 11 grams of ascorbates daily and his insulin requirement had dropped
from 32 units to only 5 units per day.
Spread of All Viruses Arteriosclerotic Build-up Halted with Addition of Two
Amino Acids
Doctors Rath and Pauling also expanded on the work of other Nobelists, Brown
and Goldstein for yet another solution - that two amino acids, L-Lysine and
L-Proline taken with mineral ascorbates prevents the arteriosclerotic build-up
and even reverse it. There is nothing else know to man that will do this.
Dr. Rath’s research further revealed that once
