dealers specifically and been told they don't.

CTTS has been testing biodiesel in one project, and duramax engines in
another. I wonder if the researchers did any crossbreeding.

expect to see a duramax running on biodiesel at the future truck

Any chance of putting the Duramax in 3/4 ton Avalanche in the
future? Also, have any test been done with Biodiesel on the
 Duramax?

I'm not so sure about the Duramax in the Avalanche. I'll check into it. No
there has been no testing of BioD in the Duramax, unless it has been done
by individuals (like us). Cheers, Joe

Looking to the future for diesel power. It's only a matter of

 Martin,

i clicked your below url, read index
for furnace stuff i would like to know
if furnace cement would work on sealing
leak at gasket and connector from exhaust
pipe, both ends, i.e., gasket leaks
where mani comes off the engine and or
where it ends into a one pipe
my reasoning is that here gaskets
blow all the time, whereas if furnace
cement would hold then no need to
 replace gaskets, etc

Not so on the Chevy any more Steve. The ened of production for the 6.5 TD
was in 2000. The Duramax (a 6.6L V8 turbo intercooled common rail DI
engine) is only available in 3/4 ton and larger pick ups. While the Duramax
is a very nice engine, at 300 horsepower and 550 ft lbs of torque, the
4L80E heavy duty transmission just couldn't handle it. They had to put a
heavy duty allison behind it and thus it will not fit into a 1/2 ton PU or
SUV. It will be very nice when the v6 version of the Duramax hits the
market. Cheers, Joe.

Hi, Glenn

I do not know where are you located but here in Paraguay at the southwestof
Brazil we can buy a half ton truck with a diesel engine, Brazil's
automakers are exporting many of them.

There is Chevrolet's Corsa diesel, Fiat's Fiorino 1.7 L diesel , VW's
Parati 1.9 L diesel, all of them have 2 seats, front wheel drive, some are
rated for 500 Kg or 700 Kg playload.

They resemble small cars, modified at the back with a cargo bed.
