Hi OSM Talk, Approximately 20% of visitors to OpenStreetMap.org today will receive the default tiles via HTTPS (ssl/tls).
This is to test HTTPS on our CDN infrastructure. If anyone experiences any problems please can you report them in channel #osm on http://irc.openstreetmap.org/ Technical: We use a dedicated wildcard *.tile.openstreetmap.org certificate signed by RapidSSL/GeoTrust on the 12 geo distributed cache servers. The SSL termination is handled by nginx. SSL Report: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=a.tile.openstreetmap.org Enabling SSL on tile is a step towards being able to offer HTTPS as an option on openstreetmap.org for more than just the login page. Kind regards, Grant Part of OpenStreetMap sysadmin team. _______________________________________________ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
