Thanks for your interest! At the moment, the OSM community is still
preparing for GSoC by collecting project ideas and potential mentors.

So for now, you can keep an eye on our list of project ideas¹ as more
will be added over time. Instructions on how to apply will later be
posted on our wiki as well². Of course, if any of the the existing
project ideas appeal to you, you can already get started by reaching out
to the people listed as points of contact for that idea.

Note that Google hasn't decided on a list of mentoring organizations
yet, so it's not guaranteed that OSM will be involved in GSoC this year.
(But we hope so, of course!)

[OSM-talk] Regarding GSoC 2020

Dear Community Members,

I am Srikanth Gollavilli from India. Currently, I am pursuing Masters in
Geoinformatics from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). I have a
bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I have development
experience in python, PLSQL, C++, IoT, postgresql, GIS tools, spatial
database, ENVI softwares. Also I am comfortable with version control
systems. I am interested in  Machine Learning, Image Processing, Remote
Sensing, client server architecture and interoperability.

I am fond of open source community as it provides me an opportunity to keep
my skills updated, helps to build connections and improve communications
skills thus I would love to contribute to OpenStreetMap in Google Summer of
Code 2020.
