[Talk-GB] Vandalism changeset
Hi This appears to be a vandalism changeset: 10947970 Details: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/changeset/10947970 It would be great if there was a report obvious vandalism button on Changeset information pages. I think we are being too nice if we assume that edits like this might be someone new that doesn't realise they aren't in a sandbox, especially when they go through the trouble of pressing the save button and adding a (blank) comment. Incidentally I spotted this in ITOWorld's new VMD comparison tool. Regards Oliver ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb

Yeah, adding: bridge=yes, foot=no, layer=5, oneway=-1 and surface=grass, to a road happens to me all the time ;) /TheOddOne2 Date: Wed, 14 Mar 2012 14:10:22 + From: jcg.stu...@gmail.com Or perhaps it could be the sort of thing you get by trying to pan the map while having a way selected, I've seen that before. __John ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb

I think you're being far too hasty with the cry of vandalism - people make mistakes, people do things unwittingly. Adding a variety of tags using what appears to be the the potlatch2 presets is hardly conclusive proof of deliberate intent. We've likely got many thousands of contributors who have made mistakes during their edits. If everyone cries vandalism every time someone messes up a route relation... Maybe an abandon changes button? At the moment you have to hit undo (which might be complicated) or click on View and face down the do-you-really-want-to-leave-this-page dialog.
