The second time it really started and as you can see, I am able to even write a message. In both cases I used the /STARTUP_TIMING_LOG option. After sending this message I will close TB! and see what happens when I try to launch it for the third time. The startup of .45 sure takes longer than with .33 As far as spell-checking is concerned, I haven't seen a problem yet... Best Wishes, Mark using The Bat! Trying to test Jerry's report, changing the proofing languages doesn't crash for me, but most of the languages do not seem to activate. I had German, US English and Czech selected, *none* of them recognized the corresponding words, which is used to during my tests just a few betas back. Only the German "new spelling" and "old spelling" versions recognize some words. None of the orhet languages, in whatever constellation. The plain "German" doesn't either. I was typing the message and all of the words where marked with the spell check. I found it was defaulted to Finnish. I changed the settings to American English. The the window froze and the program shut down. I went back into my settings and installed the full language module. Again, when I trying to create a message, the program froze and shut down. I did the find the following in an file called ex.log. Hope that helps.
