That is a good start. However, I would like to ask Ritlabs about the future of the Image Download Manager. In addition to the current "allow all" and "allow nothing" the IDM allows selection of downloadable content on a variety of criteria. Especially if some helpful images can be downloaded from domain A and a tracking pixel from domain B can be blocked. It would be a shame to discard such a helpful tool that allows users to finely balance between content and security. Best regards, mse -- Using The Bat! Return-Path may be added by the receiving e-mail server, and it contains the envelope From address (the address where bounces return to), but this header isn't normally used by e-mail clients. The e-mail client should reply to the Reply-To address, if it's present, and to the From address otherwise. If the From address contains your own address, you will have to find out why this happens yourself (this is either a misconfiguration on the sender's part, or on your e-mail server). -- < Jernej Simončič ><><><><>< https://eternallybored.org/ > If you mess with something long enough, it'll break. -- Schmidt's Law TheBat! This is a very old argument. Perhaps soon on the horizon the day will come where we don't need to continue to hash this out. I, for one, wish to have an option to download all images automatically. I like it best if I can set it as an option in program setup rather than clicking on a button/link to download images for a specific email. No, I really don't want to open a browser to view an email. That doesn't seem to me to have any advantage of security, etc. To me it feels like an annoyance to need to do that. My email provider effectively filters out viruses and other nasties. Hello Ira, Your question is not related to any beta feature or enhancement, it should have been sent to TBUDL and not to this list. Aside of that, you are sending HTML message. Do you read this list? Didn'tyouseeacouple of days ago this message from list Moderator? > Hi > > I've started seeing messages with a header that looks like: > > Return-Path: > > Where the Return-Path contains the sender and the From contains my > email address, so replying to them doesn't work. > > Seems Return-Path is for something else, but why do I keep getting > emails from people that show both the From and the To containing my > address , so replying replies to me, not the the sender of the > email. I suggest that next time you try to us Google to look for answers before asking. Take a look at: https://www.sparkpost.com/resources/email-explained/return-path-explained/ -- Best regards, Miguel A. Return-To Header entry
Title: Return-To Header entry Hi I've started seeing messages with a header that looks like: Return-Path: @SomeMailService.com> Where the Return-Path contains the sender and the From contains my email address, so replying to them doesn't work. Seems Return-Path is for something else, but why do I keep getting emails from people that show both the From and the To containing my address , so replying replies to me, not the the sender of the email. It's a recent change and I'm not trying to point a finger at the Bat, but I'm completely perplexed as to what might cause this. -- Ira 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
