Hello, Whatever the reason, I cannot figure out, why The Bat! sometimes throws out the Antispamsniper plugin. Actually, it would concerns all installed plugins, bit have only have this one installed. After a pause of some weeks, sometimes longer, at starting The Bat! in the morning, I get a popup that all plugins are removed. Sure, I can add it again and then have to start The Bat! again, but it is annoying. It happened this morning again, and, after adding Antspamsniper a gain, I first updated the mailclient to the current version. Antispamsniper and Invalid server certificate
Hello Tbbeta, I have started using antispamsniper again as there were problems with it in this Alpha/Beta series. I receive the following message. !2/2/2011, 09:01:34: FETCH - TLS handshake failure. Invalid server certificate (The CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root CA address book). Sometimes it pops up a message box saying this and there is no way to allow it, although by ignoring it your mail eventually comes in. Are others seeing this? Is it going to be fixed or is this something ASS has to deal with. Hello All, Has anyone else had a problem with the AntispamSniper icons not displaying properly? The customise item for AntiSpamSniper only shows the items 'Mark as Junk' and 'Mark as not Junk' although part of the part of the 'View log...' icon displays as shown above. PK False positive was about 0.1% false negative around 1%. Now I find a large PK number of false negatives, for mail which is has a filter to go to certain PK folders (such is tbot and others). Suddenly a large number of messages are PK filtered to junk mail. PK After seeing this I put an address in the whitelist of the Antispamsniper's PK filtering system. It still filters it to junk mail. PK I don't think I suppose to retrain the upgraded version. Why do I have this PK problem? How can I resolve it? Can I go back to the previous version without PK destroying my trained data file? I am not seeing this at all, although mine is the paid version. As a matter of fact it is considerably better at filtering spam. Hello Mark, MP Are we all talking about the same icons? MP See attachments. Not at all. Mines are the standard icons of TB!. I think that Antispam Sniper Pro use same icons as TB ? I use the free version of Antispamsniper (I will register, it's a too-well-performing pluging) and I have no toolbar for it. I added years ago (I think 2 years), with the first versions of TB! allowing toolbar customization, the two icons of Mark as spam and Mark as not spam in my standard toolbar. I have tried deleting tbuser.def file: icons are black, even in menus. New filter learns faster and able to separate spam from good messages with better confidence. [-] The plug-in was unable to filter IMAP for some email servers. [+] Added Brazilian Portuguese translation. This new release has fixed my IMAP spam filtering and in general has made things work much better. If you haven't tried it yet it is working well for me and worth trying. MP Changing the permissions in ZA made the difference: MP there it was again, without losing the old data as well as without MP re-entering it in Option/Preferences/... After next boot, the problem occured again. With Sygate as firewall things work as the did before under ZA But Sygate _and_ ZA 7 also prevented me from saving messages with the online editors for Joomla!. It either has some internal problems or it can not be qualiied as a plug-in See attached capture. Yesterday I had problems after installing the 70.337 version of ZoneAlarm pro that made me uninstall ZA, clean the registry and reïnstall it. Because this took some time I meanwhile installed sygate free version. Now I already tried: - installing the latest version of AntiSpamSniper - reinstalling the latest TB! msi... The problem doesn't go away... Hello Roger, RP To cure the problem I have to shut down and restart the computer and then RP reinstall ASS. RP Can anyone confirm this please? I cannon confirm this. I'm using TheBat in all of those versions in combinition with ASS 1.8.0.8 (free) without any problems. But recently i had an AV while trying to open an attachement in my AVG (free) AntiVirus plugin. (Autoscanning all attachments before opening, resident guard and all other things are disabled, only using the plugin-thing of AVG) I cannot reproduce it and i don't now if it is really TheBat or only AVG related. A while ago I used K9, which started, but didn't close any more with The Bat! - I don't remember which version it was. I worked around it with PowerPro. Next was MyGate, which stopped starting with The Bat!, but when started otherwise, it was closed along with The Bat!. Since a short time ago - it may very well have been v3.96.08 - it neither starts nor closes and I have to start and close it manually, respectively with a PowerPro script. :( On Voyager 3.95.06 it doesn't start via plugin, but at least it closes. I think, Melanie is on the right trail. Hello All, Those of you who do not use Antispamsniper for The Bat! (ASS) may wonder why I am writing to 'TB Beta Requests' about it. This ececellent (IMHO) prograamme appears to have been developed by GoodVein Software with at least some co-operation from Ritlabs. Perhaps Ritlabs intend to include it later with TB, or to recommend it as an option, who knows? Anyway it seems to me that Ritlabs may have some vested interest in the other programme and need to know when it does not work. At my installation here, ASS worked successfully in TB versions up to 3.96.07, but fails in both 3.96.08 and 3.96.09. The problem seems to be that ASS does not close properly after a mail download has completed, with the result thereafter that its staus is marked as In error and it will not run again. To cure the problem I have to shut down and restart the computer and then reinstall ASS.
