V Is the password enough to decode these files? Or is there any other

No clue and haven't had time to figure it out.

On the other hand it is possible to backup Voyager and restore the
backup into a non encrypted The Bat!

Yes, but that is a quite long and complicated process. I especially
serious about a case, when Voyager has problems (we saw that) and
mails are lost. If TB has problems, we still have TBB files, import
mails, ready to go. It is not possible to import from EBB files.

Yes, I agree with you. You have my vote.

That's why I still advocate teh option to install Voyager in
plaintext. But sorry, that's another issue. Your idea for people who
 use OTFE is not bad.

Plain text in general or as an option?

Request, decoding utility

2008-10-03 Thread Vili
Maybe I ask too much, but:

Could we get a utility that would convert ENI, EBD, EBB, etc. encoded
files into non-encoded files? And vice versa. Only the person who
knows the master password could decode these files anyway, right?

Reason:
- most importantly: I could edit my SmartBat.ENI file :) (jost joking)
- if Voyager is messed up, mails cannot be read anymore...

So, this utility would allow saving info from encoded files. You have
to know the password, though.
