That problem occured here too after I installed the autoupdate to
Firefox 2.0.0.2 - it seems to me that is it a Firefox problem.

RB My Firefox is 1.0.5.10. I even went back to TheBat! v3.98.4, still
RB the same thing. I also suspect the latest version of memory leaks.
RB At lease, other programs have been locking up more than usual. Of
RB course TB is rather large to shoehorn into my modest old laptop.

I switched the default browser to IE and then back again to FF, and the
 problem disappeared.

RB I tried that - I think - and it didn't work, but maybe I needed to
RB reboot in between.

You mean, the latest TB broke *unrelated* things?

 New build fast please.

Looks like I'm still using v3.98.4. I tried reinstalling older
3.85.03 over it, but it still says v3.98.4, so I suppose the installer
didn't want to install an old version over a new one and I'd have to
uninstall the lot and start again. sigh

Problem is that Regedit remembers where you left it.

That feature of Regedit can be controlled using the tweak discussed at

The is that it also disable Regedit's favourite keys, I've set up some
shortkeys to Regjump to emulate that

 That should not happen IMHO.

I currently have entries called Mozilla Firefox (0.8.) and
Mozilla Firefox (1.5.0.10), the latter of which is the version
my Firefox updated itself to a few days ago.
