Re: [TBUDL] TB temp files?
Has anyone seen files named bat4AA7.tmp, batDF96.tmp, bat4A27.tmp, batB537.tmp etc, etc, etc? As you say, these are TheBat Temp files. You can safely delete them when The Bat is not running. It is a bit pity that TheBat is not houskeeping itself. -- St - Musaic.Net mailto:s...@musaic.net Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

We're both running TB! ver. 5.2 so I'm at a loss to understand why they appear on her machine and not mine. Normally TB! would delete them itself but sometimes doesn't get the chance, for example if something interferes with normal operation or closedown. Maybe anti-virus software intervenes on incoming messages, or maybe the laptop gets shut down before TB! has completed its housekeeping, or occasionally TB! hangs or crashes. -- Best regards MFPAmailto:2014-667rhzu3dc-lists-gro...@riseup.net Is it possible to be a closet claustrophobic? There are dozens if not hundreds of them in: C:\Users\her name\AppData\Roaming\The Bat!\her name\Faux inbox\ I have seen that kind of .tmp files in the past, I don't recall how long ago, but they were always in my TEMP directory (on Windows XP). My thanks to you both. I'll delete these and try to pay more attention to that location in the future. Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to the file dates except I remember seeing one that was several years old. These were not in the TEMP directory but in the path specified above. My WIN Temp directory does not contain any TB temp files nor did I have any when I looked at my computer at the path above. Go figure. It took me about an hour to correctly construct the above path in the batch file MFPA provided, having been away from batch file programming since DOS and the old C:\ prompt. I never had to deal with spaces in directory names back then. But I was eventually successful and got the batch file to run and do what it was supposed to do. I got so wrapped up in that little task that I forgot the TB was still running when the batch file finally executed correctly. Fortunately no harm seems to have been done (fingers crossed). -- Best Regards, Jack LaRosa :usflag: Central Alabama Using The Bat! ver: 5.2. Word wrap
Hello TBUDLs, I've just noticed that when I click the reply icon and the reply window opens up, the quoted text runs beyond the border of the window. A slider bar appears at the bottom which will allow me to view the right-side text but even if I expand the window to full screen, there is some text beyond the right border. I always reply in HTML (except for this list) and when I change the reply from HTML to Plain Text (MicroED), the words wrap just fine to the 70 characters I specified in PREFERENCES | VIEWER/EDITOR | EDITOR PREFERENCES. I don't recall changing anything so I'm at a loss to understand why this annoying trait has suddenly appeared. Anyone have any ideas as to where I should be looking? -- TIA, Jack LaRosa :usflag: Central Alabama Using The Bat! ver: 5.2.
