Sorry to reply to my own mail, but I returned to the GMAIL web
interface and turned allow usage of less secure apps on and of a few
times, and finally left it on again. After a few mails from GMAIL
warning of the changes all is now well. It was definitely "ON" before,
but for whatever reason it didn't seem to take, unless the smartphone
is automagically changing it when it connects. But for now TB! is once
again accessing the account for both fetch and send, apologies for the
waste of bandwidth!
