Server error 5.7.1: missing or literal domains not allowed
I have, so far, three people with whom I correspond to whom I cannot reply. The message that is returned is: Server reports error. The response is 5.7.1. Missing or literal domains not allowed. I can send e-mail to these people directly out of my address book to exactly the same address. My work around is to compose a response as I normally do and then copy and paste the text into a new message. This is a pain. If the problem spreads to other people's addresses, it will be a big pain. I will appreciate any wisdom that can be shed on this problem. Thanks. -- Leonard S. Strange server error (solved)
Last night I posted a query based on the following error: LSB The server reports error, The response is: 5.7.1 Missing or literal LSB domains not allowed None of the information that I received was of much help -- no fault of people who tried to help. So, in desperation, I copied the message into Notepad, saved the Notepad file, opened the Notepad file and copied the message into a new e-mail message. It went out without and problem. I think I understand what is going on. The error message has nothing to do with the To: address. The message that I was sending was from a person to whom I always have trouble replying, as my (From:) message is incomplete. That's what was happening here, but since I normally have the From: unchecked with I compose e-mail, I did not realize this. Now why my From: address is corrupted is another matter. It happens only with this individual, so I am not going to lose sleep over it. Leonard S. Strange server error
I am trying to send a message to a discussion list to which I have had no issues in sending in the past. The error is the same whether I reply to a posting or use my address book: The server reports error, The response is: 5.7.1 Missing or literal domains not allowed The address to which I am sending the message is, variously, Ravnet [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] What is the problem here, and how can I fix it?
