+1

We should add the first tag to jk2 and release at least a beta src tarball
when 4.1 is released, but jk1.2 will be release quality and is a different
story.

Sounds good (although I have to admit I haven't compiled mod_jk from CVS
for a while).

jk 1.2.0 release will only cover native side

This problem is for jakarta-tomcat-connectors or Tomcat 3.3/4.x/5

Hmm I seemed to have dropped a few words. It's late.

Tomcat generates mod_jk.conf in

   CATALINA_HOME/conf/auto/mod_jk.conf

I think a better place is

   CATALINA_BASE/conf/auto/mod_jk.conf

I think I just realised that perhaps this
doesn't affect the internals of mod_jk at all.

What do you means by CATALINA_HOME/conf and mod_jk ?

The current mod_jk expects under CATALINA_HOME/conf.

I think a better place is CATALINA_BASE/conf

Anyone agree?

Of course the appropriate bits of Tomcat need to be changed too.

(I'm new here, hopefully this is not out of place)

Matt

+1 for the overall plan, i'll do win32 binaries for i_r.dll, and mod_jk,
if nobody is faster :))

+1 to release mod_jk 1.2

+1 to exclude jk2 docs from release

Shouldn't the subject line have started with [VOTE] ?

Do you agree to remove jk2 docs from jk release ?

mod_jk 1.2.0 release proposal

2002-09-20 Thread Henri Gomez

Hi to all,

Now that code and odc is stabilized in mod_jk 1.2.0, it could be time to
do the release :

Proposals :

  Monday 2002/09/23

- Freeze native development

Tuesday 2002/09/24

- Tag JTC as mod_jk 1.2.0 and prepare tarball,
   which will contains only :

   jk/native
jk/docs (generated from xdocs and without jk2 parts)

Wednesday 2002/09/25

- Prepare binaries for :

   mod_jk 1.2.0 for Apache 1.3.26 / 2.0.40
(I could do Linux i386 with and without ssl for 1.3.26)

   isapi redirector
   (nacho ?)

   nes/iplanet redirector
   (mike ?)

domino should be left out since the code has been updated
for many times now and need review by andy.

We'll need mod_jk binaries for others Unix platform like
   AIX/HPUX/MacOSX/Solaris and everybody is welcome.

I'll do the iSeries (AS/400) against Apache 2.0.39 as soon
as I get the required PTF installed on my OS400 V5R1.

The release should be present in :

http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat-connectors/jk/release/v1.2.0/

where will find :

bin,doc,rpms,src
