I've solved the problem. It was a setting in the Jakarta NT service, the
LogOnAs which limited access to the LocalSystem only.

server.xml?
web.xml?
lookup?
Can you give me a complete exemple?

just through a System DSN. The java application uses jdbc:odbc bridge.
Nothing specific in server.xml or web.xm
