 murtoza,
You can put your command output in mail body. pastebins are used normally
for IRC channel. pasting large text is forbidden there. so people use
pastebin. Its a mailing list, so Its not a problem.
If you use pastebin thats okay. if you don't thats okay too. :)
But you are not bound to use pastebin like IRC.

Hope it helps

Thanks

Just to double check -- can you please paste the output of:

  df -h

to http://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the URL?

Re: [ Ubuntu-BD ] problem updating linux-image-2.6.24-*

2008-06-18 Thread Tarin Mahmood
Please check if all your main repositories are on and updated.

First Clean sudo aptitude clean
Then Update sudo aptitude update
and then Upgrade sudo aptitude safe-upgrade

If this do not work then,
run
sudo apt-get install
this will try to fix any broken installation.

if that do not works, then
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -a
this will reconfigure all the packages, will take a very long time depending
on your installed software

you might try to reconfigure individual packages, which I would prefer to do
in my cases

sudo dpkg-reconfigure package name

maybe you can try to reconfigure the kernel images or apt-get

I hope this helps
