Re: [Bug 272394] Re: Installation Failed
Hallo, no problem at all, don't worry :) When you downloaded the installation disc, where did you download it from? If you have any weird installation problem (even if you are new, the installation program needs no particular human knowledge, it has been created to just work) it could possiblt be because you are trying to install in a not writable disc or because the installation disc is damaged! If you can, please check the md5sum against the one I provide on the OpenGEU website (from a linux console, just type md5sum filename.iso where filename is the name of the file and its path). If you've never done it before, don't have a Linux box to check it or anything, please also consider trying to download the iso again. Well, let me know :) bye, Luca 2008/9/21 smargell [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yeah, sorry about that. I just copy and pasted what it told me to at the link it instructed. We ought to just delete this entry at your site because I'm completely new to Linux and I probably just did something wrong on the install. I'm going to keep working at it. Also, I don't have any of the files because I was running the installation program from a CD. [Bug 272669] [NEW] [INTREPRID] INTEL 965GM gives a wrong screen resolution with a laptop ACER TM6292 on a dock station with an external minitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Here is my setup : My laptop is an Acer TravelMate 6292 with an integrated graphics chipset INTEL 965GM. It is docked in an ACER docking station An external LCD monitor is plugged on the docking station (using the VGA connector). The laptop's lid is generally closed. With this setup, the external monitor is set up by X with a 1024x768 resolution whereas the preferred one is 1280x1024. The laptop panel (LVDS) is enabled (even when the lid is closed) and is also set up ith a 1024x768 resolution whereas the preferred one is 1280x800. Both monitor display the same things (clone mode). After logging into GNOME I can do a sane setup using either the resolution applet or the xrandr tool. This behavior gives a really bad first impression of INTREPID (it was no better on Gutsy or Hardy of the record) Expected behaviour : When the lid is closed, the LVDS panel should be disabled and the external monitor should be set up with its preferred resolution. When the lid is opened, 2 possibilities : -1- the LVDS panel should be disabled and the external monitor should be set up with its preferred resolution. -2- both monitor are enabled, set up with their preferred resolution and configured as extended desktop (one desktop on two monitors). If I use the DVI connector of the docking station the behaviour is exactly the same. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [INTREPRID] INTEL 965GM gives a wrong screen resolution with a laptop ACER TM6292 on a dock station with an external minitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 272470] Re: tv card does only run one time, after reboot it isn't detected as a TV-card any more
I used the driver from the disk which was shipped with the card, but now I will try it with the driver from here: http://tbsdtv.com/english/product/PCIDVBS2.html . There is a patch included, but there is a problem with it. I think I'll fix that problem by renaming or linking some folders, which are not found from the script.
