[Bug 301353] Re: HP Pavilion dv5: ATA exception on resume from suspend
HP needs proof it's a BIOS problem, correct? If someone can reverse-engineer the F0.9/F0.11 BIOS and compare it to the F.21 bios (that freak007 mentioned fixing his laptop on 2008-12-02), then we can possibly work through their team to show how this bug exists in other models that don't have the F.21 BIOS. A more direct question might be to ask when the bug-fixes resolved in the F.21 BIOS will be ported to the HDX18 BIOS (my laptop which is affected). Anyone up to that task? You say that some users don't notice src-linear resampler artifacts on certain hardware - I would counter that these users may not have testing with their PCM volume set above ~75% (IIRC, the PCM slider is set to around 75% in a stock install of Ubuntu), as the distortion won't kick in below this threshold. I have access to three different HDA controller/codec combinations (Nvidia/Conexant, Intel/IDT, and the last escapes me atm) where setting both PCM and Master to 100% does not reveal artifacts. PA also is not configured to do absurd attenuation. Also, some reporters may be confusing distortion (in terms of resampler artifacts) with stuttering (buffering problems, etc.). Steps to reproduce: 1) Click on any panel launcher, Result: Launcher, erm, launches, and an orange 'highlight' box placed on top of launcher icon indicating its selection. Expected Result: Launcher launches and *without* leaving launcher highlighted! ALTERNATE (more consistent) reproduction method: 1) Click and hold down button on panel launcher. 2) Move mouse off of launcher to blank panel space (i.e. grey space.) 3) Release mouse button. [Bug 71045] Re: pymol can not find the BLOSUM62 matrix; wrong path
I am using Pymol on Jaunty and came across a similar bug. The error I see is this: Match-Error: unable to open matrix file '/usr/share/pymol/pymol/matrices/BLOSUM62'. When I checked, I noticed that /usr/share/pymol directory does not have another 'pymol' directory. However, /usr/share/pymol has a 'matrices' directory in which BLOSUM62 is present. So, I created a 'pymol' directory in /usr/share/pymol and made a symlink to matrices folder there. That fixed it! But this is something that may need to be fixed so that it works out of the box. -- pymol can not find the BLOSUM62 matrix; wrong path https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/71045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
