I know this bug report is a duplicate and seems to be marked confirmed and triaged (except for the 100 bugs project) but I think it should be considered for the 100 papercuts project because the older bugs were filed and appraised 2 and 3 years ago (and not as part of this project) and still haven't been fixed upstream! Is anyone even looking at them now? If ubuntu could fix it for its distribution it would be nice especially because it seems to be a trivial change and fits perfectly into the papercut definition. [Bug 391413] Re: [karmic]kernel 2.6.30-10-generic breaks suspend with video-intel 2.7*
I may have been to eger to report this bug since it doesn't affect me anymore, maybe because I also insalled the karmic versions of acpid, acpi-support and pm-utils. This should also cover the kms quirks. the only thing that doesn't work is dpms support. I can succesfully suspend my machine by clossing the lid, I tested this with all my kernels (2.6.28-13-generic, 2.6.30-9-generic, 2.6.30-10-generic and self compiled 2.6.30). About the dpms problem it looks more like bug #383973. but it seems this started after I installed some mesa packages which missed the upgrade the first time round (don't know exactly which and why). maybe this bug should just be clossed as ist starting to look more and more like support and not a bug, I would like to apologise for that. -- [karmic]kernel 2.6.30-10-generic breaks suspend with video-intel 2.7* https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391413 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Here is a comparison between the size of the chrome (gray) and the area where you see the actual files (green) in the default nautilus window size on a new (guest) account. This does not take into account tabs or the bar that appears when you're about copy files to a writable cd. Solving this bug would mean more space for the green area. With my icon designer hat on, icons such as Visualization in Rhythmbox benefit from a label, as it's a much less common symbol in our everyday lives than arrows (that are practically everywhere), so I don't believe dropping the labels from those icons will impact notably on the learnability of the interface. ** Attachment added: comparision between chrome and file area size http://launchpadlibrarian.net/28461826/nautilus-space-usage.png -- Nautilus file browser toolbar is complicated, redundant, and ugly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/386150 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
