[Bug 464384] [NEW] Not obvious a Clean restart is needed after config changes
Public bug reported: On regular restarts (once bug 460089 is fixed) the CC will retain network state so that active VMs can continue to run. If the CC network configuration is changed in /etc/eucalyptus/eucalyptus.conf, restart eucalyptus will not be enough to take it into account. [Bug 460085] Re: memory leak; rampart_context not freed (memory leaked per connection)
Comments on the patch from Rampart upstream (shankar): The patch is having several problems. First of all, if the rampart_context is freed in in_handler, server side functionalities will be broken. rampart_context is actually freed when msg_ctx is freed. So no need to free it. Uncommenting the lines to free receiver_cert is fine, but it causes crash in some scenarios due to a bug. I fixed it in trunk. If you are working on 1.3.0 release, I have attached a patch. You have to apply it as well to fix the crash. ** Attachment added: rampart.patch http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34675812/rampart.patch -- memory leak; rampart_context not freed (memory leaked per connection) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to eucalyptus in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

I decided to investigate this one since I'm a console-junkie and use elinks a good bit. Page displays correctly. 3) Edited the index.html to change the %3F entities with regular ?s. 4) Pointed elinks at it. Elinks complains as follows: Unable to retrieve file:///home/steve/testing/www.fdoxnews.com/index.html: No such file or directory This is definitely a misleading error. [Bug 451405] Re: zlib extension missing in php5 karmic
The problem is that the PHP standard function gzopen is renamed as gzopen64. It may be just a bug at build system. I think it is caused by macro #define gzopen gzopen64 in /usr/include/zlib.h (zlib1g-dev :1.2.3.3.dfsg-13ubuntu3). The unapplyed patch 019-z_off_t_as_long.patch generates old version zlib.h into ext/zlib. If the patch is applyed, PHP gzopen function is defined beacuse it does not contain the gzopen macro. -- zlib extension missing in php5 karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451405 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 458521] Re: kvm crash when using virtio for network, hardy guest
This bug is actually security-critical. I'm copying the Ubuntu-Security team, and updating the changelog for security update publication. Basically, a guest running virtio networking and a linux kernel = 2.6.25 (eg hardy) can be remotely DoS'd by any other user on the network flooding an open network port (eg 22) with traffic. The DoS causes crash in the kvm process. Because the guest's operating system was not shut down cleanly, unwritten buffers or dirty filesystem operations could yield data loss in the guest. [Bug 464237] [NEW] Dual screen layout misplaces splash screens, panel, menu items
Public bug reported: I am running dual monitor, with 1600x1200 on top of 1024x768. In jaunty, all splash screens (e.g. Open Office) were out of center in the 1600x1200, to the left top corner (I guess, placed according to the other monitor (laptop build-in). In karmic, they are centered, I guess, in the middle on the virtual screen. That is, in the lower part of the 1600x1200. Alas, karmic is worse than jaunty: The autohide top panel supposed to be at the top of 1600x1200 is inevitably on the top of 1024x768, and 'autohides' into the bottom of 1600x1200, where I am running an awn-panel. And from there, all dependent menu items show dislocated from their parents. And clicking awn items like 'files and folder' is not possible, because they disappear the moment when the mouse moves away from the parent. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Dual screen layout misplaces splash screens, panel, menu items https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/464237 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
