[Bug 916200] Re: missing kernel module ipmi_si module
Weirdly seems to skip some probing state. @Asif, could you please do the following: boot back into the -36 kernel version (which had ipmi working). Not sure whether it can simply be done via iKVM but otherwise you could modify the set default=0 line in /boot/grub/grub.cfg to =2 and reboot. Then verify ipmi is up and post the dmesg from that boot. [Bug 918170] Re: Update error WARNING: Clamd was NOT notified: Can't connect to clamd through /var/run/clamav/clamd.ctl
Hi Is clamav daemon running? If not, that could be the cause of the _warning_. It's not necessarily a bug, it just says that it can't notify clamav-daemon (so that it knows the database got updated). Do you even use clamav daemon? You can check if clamav-daemon package is installed. (polling freq), and cause this data to not be processed. now, Input report data should take over, and feed battery.charge! I'd be interested in seeing a debug output of a faulty version (2.6.1+), that includes a power failure. the bad news: ATM, I've no solution that can be applied upstream and distributed. the good news: well, you already know: keep running 2.6.0 for the time being. cheers, Arnaud -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nut in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/915985 Title: usbhid-ups regression (APC BE525-RS) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nut/+bug/915985/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 916763] Re: [gm45] Ubuntu sometimes stutters in that the mouse will briefly stop moving, sometimes the screen will lock up completely.
Sounds vaguely similar to bug #914216, except that's different graphics hardware. Still, might be worth checking if you also have a vt-d option in BIOS and see if disabling it helps. But first I'd like to see your `ps aux` output. This could just be a simple process resource issue. ** Summary changed: - Ubuntu sometimes stutters in that the mouse will briefly stop moving, sometimes the screen will lock up completely. + [gm45] Ubuntu sometimes stutters in that the mouse will briefly stop moving, sometimes the screen will lock up completely. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) = xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/916763 Title: [gm45] Ubuntu sometimes stutters in that the mouse will briefly stop moving, sometimes the screen will lock up completely. [Bug 870874] Re: LDAP user with automounted nfs homedir cannot login
I am facing the same problem now at our computer-labs at university. Mounted NFS homedirs and LDAP authentication. A co-worker tried a different approach using SLIM as login manager. This let's LDAP users login and use unity properly. Unfortunately, it screws up local accounts. Additionally, the shutdown/reboot widget does not work anymore. Users can only logout with these, but not stop/reboot the machine. One more thing: if the screen becomes locked, users cannot unlock it via LDAP. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870874 Title: LDAP user with automounted nfs homedir cannot login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at-spi2-core/+bug/870874/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 917922] Re: after hibernation, sometimes system fails to restore the old state (before hiberanation
A few comments: 1.) I checked a few more /var/log/syslog* and /var/log/kern.log* files. It is always process name plasma-desktop which gets hits. 2.) I never had this problem as long as I ran Ubuntu - but I decided to go away from Ubuntu because of the Unity desktop. I could not handle this new desktop design. 3.) Somestimes the system bombs out after loading 100% of the saved pages from the swap file. It immediately falls back in to the BIOS and the reboots normally. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/917922 Title: after hibernation, sometimes system fails to restore the old state (before hiberanation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/917922/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
