[Bug 229760] Re: RFE: allow permanent setting of distribution for dch
Sorry for letting the patch bitrotten. We now have a --vendor parameter that you can set to Debian or Ubuntu. In addition, you can set DEBCHANGE_VENDOR to permanently change the vendor. What's missing to close this bug is to add DEBCHANGE_DISTRIBUTION. Are you willing to refresh the patch? Besides the refresh, this new environment variable needs to be documented in the man page. It would be nice to have test cases for the new option. [Bug 1205589] [NEW] Fairly frequent lockups of screen
Public bug reported: For the past several months I have had fairly frequent experience of my whole screen locking up suddenly and the only thing which can be done is to reboot via SysReq + REISUB. Every once in a while even that doesn't seem to work and I'm forced to power off. I've had no idea what the cause was to even report a bug until today when the problem occured twice and both times after rebooting I was told that xorg had a problem and was asked if I wanted to report the bug. However, when I tried to follow the steps to report it, it initially did nothing after asking if I wanted to contact support and me answering no, to file the bug. So I ran xdiagnose from the terminal and am submitting this report that way. I wish I had further information to offer. Hopefully there is something useful in the debug data. [Bug 1173941] Re: [HP 530 Notebook PC] Ubuntu 13.04 doesn't start/ show login screen/ after intallation or upgrade
Success! Christopher, I've tested now the live version and the installed version of Saucy, booth are booting without problems on my system. (The live version of Raring did work on my system also, but not after installation, I think I didn't mention that before.) I've installed Saucy on an USB pen drive with the Ubuntu installer (not with usb-creator !) because I had no free partition. Grub is also on the pen drive, so I think there is no difference compared to a harddrive installation. For your information I've attached the dmesg output from my installed Saucy. ** Attachment added: dmesg-Saucy.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1173941/+attachment/3750807/+files/dmesg-Saucy.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173941 Title: [HP 530 Notebook PC] Ubuntu 13.04 doesn't start/ show login screen/ after intallation or upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1173941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1160188] Re: ATH9K wireless signal weak
On one of my Packard Bell EasyNote LV, the wireless network stop working some minutes after boot. Only a reboot get it working again. I tried to use the 3.11 rc2 kernel, but it reintroduced the black screen of death and thus was not a very good alternative. The machine need acpi_backlight=vendor in raring to not turn off the screen completely, and this setting no longer work with v3.11. One of the other ones have not had this problem, but it might be caused by it running an earlier raring kernel. [Bug 1205132] Re: Stops Dead - Just Installed on Ubuntu Version 0.2.7
After several rewrites of my curl download I was able to download ~4000 images that when processed by ImageMagick mogrify -resize encountered only 1 premature end of image error. I did this my downloading 1 image at a time rather than 10 at a time and with a sleep(1000) every hundred images. I'm not smart enough to know why this made the difference, but fortunately it did. So although Gimp was able to handle resizing of these images, and although curl 10 at a time handled two thirds without premature end of image errors, neither ImageMagick mogrify nor phatch could or would, which in some peoples might was the right thing to do. Consequently, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm moving on with what I've got, so you are welcome to close this bug report since in all fairness, the bug was mine, not yours. Meanwhile, the PRC also asserts itself to be the sole legal representation of China and claims Taiwan to be under its sovereignty, denying the status and existence of ROC as a sovereign state. The PRC has threatened the use of military force as a response to any formal declaration of Taiwanese independence, or if it deems peaceful reunification no longer possible.[16] Relations between Taiwan and China as well as issues of national identity within the country are important factors in Taiwanese politics and a cause of social and political division among political parties and their respective supporters. + * Taiwan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia + http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwan Related bug reports 相關軟體缺陷報告 --- Bug #614236 “Wrong Country Name.
