[Bug 1160569]
g_slice_set_config()(In reply to Karl Tomlinson (:karlt) from comment #44) On irc, glandium indicated that he would prefer to dlopen libglib (before anything depends on libgobject) and use the deprecated g_slice_set_config internal debugging api, than follow Matthias' suggestion to use GSLICE=always-malloc, because of the awkwardness of putenv/unsetenv. GSLICE=always-malloc ENV is the only way how to disable it in glib = 2.35. g_slice_set_config() actually does nothing because it tweaks only a local copy of slice_config which is not send to the allocator. The actual slice_config_init() config routine has its SliceConfig *config for that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1160569 Title: [regression] GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion `sys_page_size == 0' failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1160569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1385137] Re: [ASUS N550JK] Touchpad recognized wrongly as PS/2 mouse
Pilot6, thanks for the quick follow up. Would you happen to have the upstream discussion on the commit(s) specifically (or git commit URL) in relation to 3.19-rc3? As well, posting reports to bugzilla is legacy, and the wrong venue for kernel issues. Instead, upstream prefers the relevant mailing list (in this case linux-input) as advised in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/kernel . However, in ~Oct. 2014 upstream was of the opinion this could be a firmware issue. Hence, before contacting upstream, it would be best if a BIOS update occurred whether or not the potential fix commit(s) work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1385137 Title: [ASUS N550JK] Touchpad recognized wrongly as PS/2 mouse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1385137/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1407629] [NEW] libpasswdqc generates smutty passwords frequently
Public bug reported: The random password generator used by passwd (I think this is libpasswdqc), generates smutty passwords with such frequency that I'm concerned about its randomness, has someone put an Easter egg in PAM? Steps to recreate: Either use passwd to set a new password, or more simply run pwqgen a bunch of times. The results are too frequently sexual references, often directly referring to the female anatomy. I ran the command ONCE while writing this and got: alandaws@alandaws-W510 ~ $ pwqgen Probe!thrust6scorn This is at best inappropriate, at worst it's generating weaker passwords then people might expect. Presumably this is related to the DHCP client via dhclient and dhclient- script, so presumably should be a task on isc-dhcp? [Bug 1303736] Re: [SRU] Black screen after wakeup from suspending by closing the laptop lid
@Lawrence Yes, I did. Enabling the /etc/pm/sleep.d/ script makes my desktop flash for a moment after I unlock my screen, and then I'm thrown back to the unlock screen and I have to log in again. The second time nothing happens and I have to unblank my screen using the hotkey. It also happend that my laptop suspended again after I logged in, but I can't reproduce that now. The /etc/acpi/events script works more or less, but the timeout starts counting the moment I open the lid, so if I type my password within the 5 second timeout it works but if I am not fast enough it doesn't. I could enlagre the timeout but then I would have to wait longer if I do log in quicker. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303736 Title: [SRU] Black screen after wakeup from suspending by closing the laptop lid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/1303736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1407593] [NEW] please unblacklist isdnactivecards and sync from Debian unstable
Public bug reported: isdnactivecards was previously blacklisted due to conflicting with a binary that was published in Ubuntu under the same name but from a different source package (isdnutils). isdnactivecards is no longer built by isdnutils from Ubuntu, so this can be safely unblacklisted and synced. It builds fine in my local amd64 pbuilder. ** Affects: isdnactivecards (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407593 Title: please unblacklist isdnactivecards and sync from Debian unstable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/isdnactivecards/+bug/1407593/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
