[Bug 1597161] [NEW] Tweaker settings reset after `pkill -u`
Public bug reported: I'm running Ubuntu 16.04, and sometimes when my system freezes, I need to unfreeze it via Ctrl+Alt+F1 + typing `sudo pkill -u `. When doing this, 100% of the times desktop settings are reset (the ones that are set with the tweaker - or something - app). All extensions are disabled, all settings are switched back to defaults. [Bug 540306] Re: Xsane preview window not working in Karmic
I experienced this problem with xsane 0.999 under Ubuntu 16.04. I have a Seiko Epson Corp. GT-8200U/GT-8200UF [Perfection 1650/1650 PHOTO] scanner. I have a NVIDIA Corporation GF108 [GeForce GT 430] (rev a1) video card. I found a strange work around at ubuntuforums.org http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1368876 Sometime later! more news. I have a work around, if you open Xsane, and then select the preview it does not work. But if you close xsane via Ctrl-Q while the Preview window is open. Then restart xsane the preview window is opened (as you have previously selected it) and lo and behold the preview pane is working. Last edited by emacdonald; January 29th, 2010 at 11:18 PM. [Bug 1579815] Re: Please "duplicate" as php5-mongodb to trusty-universe
Just a quick update, based upon SRU precedence, I don't think this is likely to occur. Nothing in Trusty itself needs php5-mongodb, it doesn't exist in Debian (afaict) and the way the packaging works (rather intentionally afaict), it is explicitly only designed to work with PHP7+. Finally, there are two further dependencies, libbson and libmongoc which would also need backporting in order to achieve this and that adds to the SRU overhead and review(s). You might consider setting up a PPA for your own use and seeing if you can get a php5-mongodb built there, but I don't think it will be straightforward. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1579815 Title: Please "duplicate" as php5-mongodb to trusty-universe To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php-mongodb/+bug/1579815/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1588127] Re: Phone abandons incoming call
Is there some way to force media-hub to get stuck in this way? Or even better, perhaps write a test application that observes telepathy and deliberately fails to confirm. Then I could check that the results are the same as what I was seeing. "telepathy by design won't forward the incoming call to the approver ... until all observers confirm receiving the incoming channel" This means that a rogue application can block incoming calls by simply observing telepathy? That doesn't seem like a good design. In particular, media-hub is a very complicated piece of engineering with innumerable dependencies on other software and the wider network, and whose requirements are constantly in flux. Answering phone calls is so important, media hub should be treated as if it was actively malicious rather than depended on for cooperation. That said though, in my case I did see the approver (I assume that means the green/red slider answer call widget), and there was one ring, which sounds like it could rule out your guess. Anyway, thanks very much for your investigations! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1588127 Title: Phone abandons incoming call To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1588127/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
