[Bug 1741081] Re: zfs-import-cache.service fails on startup
IMHO this is completely backwards, see https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/pull/7259 for an upstream discussion similar to this. systemd service units are not the proper place to load modules - there is {/lib,/etc}/modules-load.d/ which gets parsed by systemd-load- modules.service early in the boot process, and ZoL even ships a (disabled by default) snippet for /lib that supports. just flip that one to enabled (admin can override via /etc) and you don't need to introduce bogus services. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1741081 Title: zfs-import-cache.service fails on startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1741081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

There's a workaround to hide the ugly text-based menu: I've checked the /boot/grub/grub.cfg file and find out, if you change the line and its content 'terminal_output --append gfxterm' to 'terminal_output gfxterm' in paragraph '00_header' the text-based menu won't be shown. [Bug 1752946] Re: System freezes on copy to USB drive since kernel 4.13.0-36 (32bit)
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Lately one of my boxes reproducably freezes when I copy data from internal hard disk to an USB device (USB hard disk or USB key). It looks like it works at first, than the "wait for IO load" in the system monitor applet rises to max and the system does no longer respond to input, only hard reboot brings it back to life. When booting the previous kernel 4.13.0-32 all is fine. Do I boot to -36 the error is back. I append a lshw dump as text file. [Bug 1752906] Re: Error in execution of
I see you are using the old BleachBit 1.10. Please note that Ubuntu repositories often have ancient versions of BleachBit because they do not update them except with a new Ubuntu release. The latest Ubuntu release will have a new version of BleachBit, but the older Ubuntu versions have old versions of BleachBit. This is problematic because Ubuntu updates the browsers, and new versions of browsers sometimes require code changes in BleachBit to support them. Sorry if this is a rant. :) Anyway, the error about moz_favicons was fixed in the new release: https://www.bleachbit.org/news/bleachbit-20 . This site always has the latest version of BleachBit, and it has .deb packages for easily installation on Ubuntu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1752906 Title: Error in execution of To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bleachbit/+bug/1752906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1741081] Re: zfs-import-cache.service fails on startup
zfs-load-module.service seems to have a Requires on itself? That has to be wrong. Also, zfs-import-cache.service and zfs-import-scan.service need an After =zfs-load-module.service. They're not getting one automatically because of DefaultDependencies=no (which seems appropriate here, so leave that alone). Scott, can you try this? I think it will fix your issue, since zfs-mount.service already has After=zfs-load-cache.service and After =zfs-load-scan.service. The proposed package, with the changes above should fix the issue I'm reporting. However, LP #1672749 says, "Since zfsutils-linux/0.6.5.9-4, zfs module is not automatically loaded on systems that no zpool exists, this avoids tainting everyone's kernel who has the package installed but is not using zfs." Is this still an important goal? If so, wasn't that lost with ubuntu-load-zfs-unconditionally.patch? Or perhaps something is keeping zfs-import-scan.service from being enabled by default?

I'm using two monitors if that makes a difference, the laptop is on a dock , one external monitor is in landscape mode, and the other one is in portrait mode. Not sure what else to provide, I have run the `ubuntu-bug gnome-shell` command so hopefully there will be debug info attached. I'm going to reboot now because the laptop is very noisy and slow. ``` $ sudo apt-cache policy gnome-shell gnome-shell: Installed: 3.26.2-0ubuntu0.1 Candidate: 3.26.2-0ubuntu0.1 Version table: *** 3.26.2-0ubuntu0.1 500 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu artful-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.26.1-0ubuntu4 500 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu artful/main amd64 Packages ``` ``` $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 17.10 Release:17.10 ``` ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.10 Package: gnome-shell 3.26.2-0ubuntu0.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.13.0-36.40-generic 4.13.13 Uname: Linux 4.13.0-36-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.7-0ubuntu3.7 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Fri Mar 2 18:23:00 2018 DisplayManager: gdm3 InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-05-15 (291 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 17.04 "Zesty Zapus" - Release amd64 (20170412) SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to artful on 2017-10-27 (126 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug artful wayland-session -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1753020 Title: High CPU usage in gnome-shell, occurs randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1753020/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
