[Bug 109835] Re: windows applet says window manager unknown
Ok, Metacity is the window manager for gnome so just to clarify. You are specifically setting the session to gnome before logging on as this user and once you log on, even though it is the standard gnome-session metacity is not being loaded, but only for one specific user? If so could you please check if there is a .xsession file in that users home directory that might be modifying the standard gnome session? If it exists then what happens if you back it up and then remove it? If such a file does exist then can you attach it to the bug report, not to be confused with .xsession-errors which is potentially a HUGE file. -- windows applet says window manager unknown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Actually, while this is the default for NM-applet it is not the default for most other setups or how most routers configure themselves on default either which is a present issue in bug 31460 Check the screenshot for what is the common with most other programs. ** Attachment added: wireless.png http://librarian.launchpad.net/7242585/wireless.png -- [Feisty] Network Manager can't associate WEP even right passphrase is given https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103781 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Ok, I just wanted to make sure. To my knowledge the key s: is still not a passphrase but ASCII, which would imply it's the third option. Thanks for your report, This seems theme based, I suffer the same problem except with my theme the about icon is a star. [Bug 93776] Re: incorrect wireless password
Thanks for your bug report, I am having a bit of trouble reproducing this bug. Upon connecting to a WPA PERSONAL network and entering a bogue password mine just refuses to connect and eventually times out without saving a password to the keyring. Upon trying to reconnect I am again prompted for a password. Deleting the password from the NM-applet also did not cause a crash, I was just prompted to enter the password again and it resaved it. Test case #3 I was able to confirm however, forcefully changing the password in the keyring and then attempting to connect to a network causes NM-applet to do nothing, it won't connect, won't say it's failing to connect... it just sits there waiting for another action. I would assume this effect could also be duplicated by changing a password in your router settings. Can you please include what version of Ubuntu/Nm-applet you are using? If the two problems I can't reproduce still occur I would suggest filing them as seperate bugs. I will post name to match the one part I can confirm. To reproduce: 1) Connect to wireless network using the proper key and save it to the keyring. 2) Enter the keyring in System Administration Keyring Manager and alter the key to be incorrect 3) Attempt to connect to the same network again Expected Result: Prompt for proper password or even a notice to change the password in the keyring. Actual Result: Nothing happens, no connection, no notice of a failure, program just idles in waiting for another command. I will attempt to duplicate this by changing router passwords later this evening. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed ** Summary changed: - incorrect wireless password + incorrect password in keyring does not prompt user -- incorrect password in keyring does not prompt user https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/93776 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 87218] Re: Does not import picture
Thanks for your report. Could you please try this with version 2.2 of OpenOffice in Feisty? I had no trouble importing the file with that version. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Chris Burgan Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- Does not import picture https://launchpad.net/bugs/87218 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 86251] Re: Printing *.doc to *.ps (print to file) goes wrong
Thanks for your report. Could you please tell me what version of Ubuntu you are using? I just attempted this on Edgy and reproduced the bug, then moved to Feisty which is currently using OpenOffice 2.2 and it printed to a file normally. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Chris Burgan Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- Printing *.doc to *.ps (print to file) goes wrong https://launchpad.net/bugs/86251 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
