[Bug 1129571] Re: libreoffice armhf FTBFS
I see the same thing javac hanging. [Bug 1129571] Re: libreoffice armhf FTBFS
I noticed for the case where javac --version hangs the process has several threads all waiting on futexes. [Bug 1129571] Re: libreoffice armhf FTBFS
Trying to build on a raring amd64 host in a raring armhf chroot, two failures so far. First time was a hang checking ant, an xlc-ls showed several java threads hung. Second time was a segfault again in java. So I have no problems reproducing this now locally. Hang seems like thread waiting for futex not being awakened but that is just my speculation. I will chase this further. One more point, these two failures were locally build 1.4.0 with my FUTEX_WAIT_BITSET patches applied. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1129571 Title: libreoffice armhf FTBFS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1129571/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1129571] Re: libreoffice armhf FTBFS
The patch at least allows java to run without segfaulting. I have not tried to build libreoffice yet. Late in 2012 libc started using FUTEX_WAIT_BITSET instead of FUTEX_WAIT so teach qemu about it so it will forward the call to the host kernel rather than returning -TARGET_ENOSYS. The patch also fixes a problem with qemu strace printing when the FUTEX_CLOCK_REALTIME bit is present in the futex cmd. ** Patch added: FUTEX_WAIT_BITSET.patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1129571/+attachment/3542514/+files/FUTEX_WAIT_BITSET.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1129571 Title: libreoffice armhf FTBFS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1129571/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 927781] Re: PXELINUX implementation doesn't respect dhcp ConfigFile or PathPrefix values
Hope Robbie does not mind my inserting this from an email of his: Summary pxelinux emulation on ARM does not match the behaviour of pxelinux.0 on Intel, even in areas that are not architecture-dependent. This means that developers working and testing on Intel push stuff that they expect to work, and it doesn't. This costs us considerable time dealing with the impedence mismatches. [Bug 927781] Re: PXELINUX implementation doesn't respect dhcp ConfigFile or PathPrefix values
I did a quick review, I don't think adding this patch would break anything. The files need a proper u-boot style file header but that is easily fixed. Some of the ifdef's are a bit confusing to me but a better way to do it does not jump out at me. I can apply this to u -boot-linaro. In the longer term it would be great if the Calxeda folks (Jason and Rob) could sign off on this and if Rob could send a patch upstream since he is the defacto u-boot pxe maintainer having sent the most recent fixed upstream. Of course this is all based on if Justin and Dave still want this functionality in or are happy with the alternative method that Jason outlines in comment #2 above. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/927781 Title: PXELINUX implementation doesn't respect dhcp ConfigFile or PathPrefix values To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/u-boot-linaro/+bug/927781/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 867650] Re: eMMC support is missing
From Sebastien Jan: These 2 patches from the linaro u-boot 2011.08 branch were not imported into the 2011.09 branch, resulting in missing eMMC support in this branch. I rebased them on top of 2011.09 branch. I have built and boot-tested them on omap4 blaze, checking eMMC was visible from kernel with these patches, and boot-tested on panda 4460. (side note: cross-compiling using 4.6.1 Linaro u-boot fails with a 'compiler internal error'. I can log a defect on the toolchain for that if you wish. Cross-compiling with 4.5* works fine - this is what I tested with) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/867650 Title: OMAP4 eMMC support is missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/u-boot-linaro/+bug/867650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 867670] Re: OMAP 4460 based pandas run too hot at current operating point
From Sebastien Jan: It appears the panda heats more than I thought (and much more that the blaze), and by loading the 2 cores I can quite easily reach max temperature at 920MHz (it takes around 30s on my board!). At 700MHz, the temperature still increases but much slower. So if the A9 cores do not run at 100% all the time we shall be ok. So for now, we definitely need this change if we don't want to run with a heatsink... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/867670 Title: OMAP 4460 based pandas run too hot at current operating point To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/u-boot-linaro/+bug/867670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 839541] Re: mx51evk can't find rootfs by UUID, LABEL or device node, then drop to initramfs
This problem has prevented working releases for Linaro 2011.07 and 08 so it would be great to have this fixed for 09. I believe the problem here is that the mmc driver is not getting initialized. If I understand things correctly, there are two possible ways for this driver to get probed. It either needs to be a platform driver CONFIG_MMC_SDHCI_PLTFM or an OpenFirmware driver CONFIG_MMC_SDHCI_OF_ESDHC. If I enable CONFIG_MMC_SDHCI_PLTFM I get a build error: LD .tmp_vmlinux1 drivers/built-in.o:(.rodata+0xfa74): undefined reference to `sdhci_tegra_dt_pdata' make[2]: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 1 make[1]: *** [sub-make] Error 2 Which when I poke around seems to be caused by the fact that the platform case really only works for tegra at the moment. Here is a snippet from drivers/mmc/host/sdhci-pltfm.c: #if defined(CONFIG_OF) #include linux/of_device.h static const struct of_device_id sdhci_dt_ids[] = { { .compatible = nvidia,tegra20-sdhci, .data = sdhci_tegra_dt_pdata }, { } }; MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(platform, sdhci_dt_ids); static const struct of_device_id *sdhci_get_of_device_id(struct platform_device *pdev) { return of_match_device(sdhci_dt_ids, pdev-dev); } #else #define sdhci_dt_ids NULL static inline struct of_device_id *sdhci_get_of_device_id(struct platform_device *pdev) { return NULL; } #endif For the OpenFirmware case case to work the device needs a node in the device tree. However the device tree for imx51 is pretty much empty: /* * Copyright 2011 Linaro Ltd. * * The code contained herein is licensed under the GNU General Public * License.
