Problem occured allso when I tried to install Large selection of fonts(ubuntustudio-font-meta ) from tasksel Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS 2.6.32-27-generic x86_64 I tried to update: sudo apt-get update sudo aptitude update sudo aptitude -y safe-upgrade (no errors) But it didn't resolve the case. I re installed clean 7.04 i386 and then used apt-get upgrade to get 7.10. In shell, apt-get upgrade works just fine and is not rytrying to update.
