[Bug 775281] Re: [Dell Latitude 2120/Vostro 1015/1014] Turning off wi-fi with hotkey seems to permenantly disable wi-fi

2011-10-17 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
Hi, I had a Vostro 1015, and suffered the same bug, but after a little google,
the best solution was:
 1.- Find if dell-laptop module was loading #$ lsmod | grep dell
 2.- Edit the blacklist file #$ sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d
 3.- Add at the end the module (don't forget comment why this module is in
blacklist) #$ blacklist dell-laptop
 4.- Restart, and that's all. Your keyboard must be fully functional (undo if
not working).

[Bug 101838] Re: Terminal bell does not beep

2011-02-04 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
Hi, after two years without activity, I reopened the bug. I was programming a
script when I noted that don't had a bell.
I test with the follow combinations, and no positive results:
echo -e \a
echo -e '\a'

The man echo, doesn't give major info.
I attached the files asked by Lean, to give information.
Thanks

[Bug 351015] [NEW] Page break before a table dissapears

2009-03-29 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Hi, i see this bug on Hardy, Intrepid and now on Jaunty (Open Office 3.0).
I don't report before because i don't see the importance until now.

When you have a page break, it appears like a thin blue line, and you
can easly delete. But when it appears before a table, and no other line
are before, it's impossible to delete. The only way to do this is delete
the table.

I like to suggest to put the page break before the new page to better mannage
of non printable characters.
Thanks!

[Bug 210804] Re: Clicking link in email does not open browser

2008-12-14 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
The solution to this problem:

I had the same trouble when i upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy, i was using FF3 beta
4 and Thunderbird 2.
1.- Close both apps.
2.- Locate the ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/xx.profile/ directory, where xx
are a chain of numbers and characters.
3.- Find the file prefs.js open and add the next three lines:

user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.http, /usr/bin/firefox);
user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.https, /usr/bin/firefox);
user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.ftp, /usr/bin/firefox);

4.- Save, close and test.

mozilla-thunderbird-con-mozilla-firefox-312158/

[Bug 286655] [NEW] KTouch doesn't have a Spanish or Latinamerican keymap

2008-10-20 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdeedu

I talk with Andreas Nicolai the mantainer of KTouch, i've sent the spanish and
latinoamerican keymaps. He approved both of them and tell me that maybe it
comes i the release 4.1.2
There is a posibility to offer the keymaps for KDE 3.5 (i'm thinking in
edubuntu 8.04 that use this Qt library).
I make this repport as a wishlist but is not minor reason to update the old KDE.
Please tell me if you want the keymaps or you ask for it to Andreas.
Thanks.

[Bug 275684] Re: thunderbird crashes randomly with sound notification

2008-10-05 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
Hi, I've Thunderbird 2.0.0.17, Lightning 0.7 and Enigmail 0.95.7 on
Ubuntu 8.04.1 x86. Since a couple of weeks after i receive an email no
matter if they are digitally signed or not, thunderbird freezes. The
only way to recover it, is killing the process and launch again, then it
could work fine the rest of the day or fail again. I don't use Google
calendar.

[Bug 210804] Re: Clicking link in email does not open browser

2008-08-26 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
I had the same trouble when i upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy, i was using FF3 beta
4 and Thunderbird 2. Now i found a solution:
1.- Close both apps.
2.- Locate the ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/xx.profile/ directory, where xx
are a chain of numbers and characters.
3.- Find the file prefs.js open and add the next three lines:

user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.http, /usr/bin/firefox);
user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.https, /usr/bin/firefox);
user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.ftp, /usr/bin/firefox);

4.- Save, close and test.

[Bug 234296] Re: ubuntu 64 bits , radio not playing in rhythmbox

Sure, if you add this url: http://streaming.iberoamerican.cl/futuro the
rhythmbox doesn't play anything and give the error message.
After that, you copy the same url in Totem, and it plays without a problem,
then if you open rhythmbox, it freezes by a moment, then you close booth
applications and when open again Rhythmbox, the url works perfect.
It's like Totem says where is the codecs to play the url.

[Bug 229049] [NEW] Can't upgrade Gutsy to Hardy

2008-05-10 Thread Mauricio Peñaloza S .
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: upgrade-system

Hi, I've a laptop Compaq Presario V2000 (Sempron 3000, 1128 RAM, ethernet and
wifi) with Ubuntu 7.10 installed as the only OS. When the update tool indicates
me that there's a new version (8.04), i proceed to upgrade (there was the first
time that i do that, previously i performed a new install without format the
/home partition).
First it was a window with the links to report bugs or other things, then it
beggins to download two files, when finish, it ask me for the password, i gave
it and then the program colsed and nothing happened.
I wait for a few minutes (saw the top, and there was no active process out of
normal).
I'll wait for a days and the result is the same.
(Sorry but i don't too much practice with english).
Any question please let me know if i can help us.
