[Bug 775281] Re: [Dell Latitude 2120/Vostro 1015/1014] Turning off wi-fi with hotkey seems to permenantly disable wi-fi
Hi, I had a Vostro 1015, and suffered the same bug, but after a little google, the best solution was: 1.- Find if dell-laptop module was loading #$ lsmod | grep dell 2.- Edit the blacklist file #$ sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d 3.- Add at the end the module (don't forget comment why this module is in blacklist) #$ blacklist dell-laptop 4.- Restart, and that's all. Your keyboard must be fully functional (undo if not working). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/775281 Title: [Dell Latitude 2120/Vostro 1015/1014] Turning off wi-fi with hotkey seems to permenantly disable wi-fi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/775281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi, after two years without activity, I reopened the bug. I was programming a script when I noted that don't had a bell. The solution to this problem: I had the same trouble when i upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy, i was using FF3 beta 4 and Thunderbird 2. 1.- Close both apps. 2.- Locate the ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/xx.profile/ directory, where xx are a chain of numbers and characters. 3.- Find the file prefs.js open and add the next three lines: user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.http, /usr/bin/firefox); user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.https, /usr/bin/firefox); user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.ftp, /usr/bin/firefox); 4.- Save, close and test. [Bug 210804] Re: Clicking link in email does not open browser
I had the same trouble when i upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy, i was using FF3 beta 4 and Thunderbird 2. Now i found a solution: 1.- Close both apps. 2.- Locate the ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/xx.profile/ directory, where xx are a chain of numbers and characters. 3.- Find the file prefs.js open and add the next three lines: user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.http, /usr/bin/firefox); user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.https, /usr/bin/firefox); user_pref(network.protocol-handler.app.ftp, /usr/bin/firefox); 4.- Save, close and test. [Bug 234296] Re: ubuntu 64 bits , radio not playing in rhythmbox
Sure, if you add this url: http://streaming.iberoamerican.cl/futuro the rhythmbox doesn't play anything and give the error message. After that, you copy the same url in Totem, and it plays without a problem, then if you open rhythmbox, it freezes by a moment, then you close booth applications and when open again Rhythmbox, the url works perfect. It's like Totem says where is the codecs to play the url. -- ubuntu 64 bits , radio not playing in rhythmbox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
