[Bug 741877] Re: Cannot remove one RSS feed subscription
I checked, and the feed is not in my subscriptions anymore (I'm also on Arch now), so apparently I succeeded in removing it at some point. [Bug 1366357] [NEW] Banshee freezes shortly (about 5–10s) between songs
Public bug reported: Two days ago, I made some small changes to my music library in Banshee, removing some songs, adding others, etc. But not on a large scale. Anyways, since then I have the problem that after every song (I'm playing a playlist, in shuffle mode) Banshee freezes for several seconds, the window graying out after a few of them, until playback resumes normally with the next song. The same upon initially starting playback and when skipping ahead to the next song. I activated --debug and got the following output when Banshee freezes: [5 Warn 18:24:58.416] Executed in 18321ms SELECT CoreTracks.Rating,CoreTracks.LastStreamError,CoreTracks.TrackID,CoreTracks.PrimarySourceID,CoreTracks.ArtistID,CoreTracks.AlbumID,CoreTracks.TagSetID,CoreTracks.MusicBrainzID,CoreTracks.MimeType,CoreTracks.FileSize,CoreTracks.FileModifiedStamp,CoreTracks.LastSyncedStamp,CoreTracks.Attributes,CoreTracks.Title,CoreTracks.TitleSort,CoreTracks.TrackNumber,CoreTracks.TrackCount,CoreTracks.Disc,CoreTracks.DiscCount,CoreTracks.Duration,CoreTracks.Year,CoreTracks.Genre,CoreTracks.Composer,CoreTracks.Conductor,CoreTracks.Grouping,CoreTracks.Copyright,CoreTracks.LicenseUri,CoreTracks.Comment,CoreTracks.BPM,CoreTracks.BitRate,CoreTracks.SampleRate,CoreTracks.BitsPerSample,CoreTracks.Score,CoreTracks.PlayCount,CoreTracks.SkipCount,CoreTracks.ExternalID,CoreTracks.LastPlayedStamp,CoreTracks.LastSkippedStamp,CoreTracks.DateAddedStamp,CoreTracks.DateUpdatedStamp,CoreTracks.Uri,CoreArtists.Name,CoreArtists.NameSort,CoreAlbums.Title,CoreAlbums.TitleSort,CoreAlbums.ArtistName,CoreAlbums.ArtistNameSort,CoreAlbums.IsCompilation,CoreAlbums.MusicBrainzID,CoreArtists.MusicBrainzID , OrderID, CoreCache.ItemID FROM CoreTracks,CoreArtists,CoreAlbums INNER JOIN CorePlaylistEntries ON CoreTracks.TrackID = CorePlaylistEntries.TrackID INNER JOIN CoreCache ON CorePlaylistEntries.EntryID = CoreCache.ItemID WHERE CoreCache.ModelID = 131 AND CoreArtists.ArtistID = CoreTracks.ArtistID AND CoreAlbums.AlbumID = CoreTracks.AlbumID AND 1=1 AND LastStreamError = 0 AND (LastPlayedStamp 1410024153 OR LastPlayedStamp IS NULL) AND (LastSkippedStamp 1410024153 OR LastSkippedStamp IS NULL) ORDER BY RANDOM () LIMIT 1 So, apparently, there is a really slow SQL query executed for finding out the next song. What I don't understand, though, is why this problem suddenly occurred, since I only added a few songs to that playlist – also, there are now only 365 songs in that list, so really nothing that should lead to such lags. Ah, thanks a lot for posting this! However, I couldn't apply this workaround successfully on Ubuntu: I had libsasl2-2 already installed, and adding libgsasl7, too, also made no difference. [Bug 1170783] Re: Opening shutdown dialog immediately triggers reboot

[Bug 1179180] Re: Impossible to open Empathy contact list window if already started with '-h' option
I just did a fresh install of Raring today on both my Desktop (64bit) and Laptop (32bit). I also installed all available updates on both. I can confirm that this is an issue in both and is extremely easy to reproduce. I tried to use dconf-editor to enable the Hidden Window option and it does nothing at all. The only way to get Empathy to start hidden is the use of one of the two command line options and both cause you to lose access to the contact list permanently, even while everything else runs fine in the background. I can receive messages fine, for example. When I click on them, I can see the chat window and respond like normal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1179180 Title: Impossible to open Empathy contact list window if already started with '-h' option To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1179180/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1176379] Re: Streaming videos over LAN with GVFS often locks up VLC Media Player in Ubuntu 13.04
Fresh install of Raring 64bit with all updates as of this moment. I can confirm this issue and add some detail. I've used the Marlin file manager rather than Nautilus and it doesn't change anything. I'm unable to play media files over 200mb, it locks up every time and I cannot kill vlc at all other than closing the interface with Alt+F4. Media files under 200mb play correctly 90% of the time without locking vlc up. Totem (or Videos) can play all the same media files, all the time with no issues. I've attempted to get a debug log from vlc but it crashes so early/hard that it never logs anything to the debug log. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1176379 Title: Streaming videos over LAN with GVFS often locks up VLC Media Player in Ubuntu 13.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1176379/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1082929] [NEW] Video muted after pausing
Public bug reported: Every time I pause a video in VLC and unpause it again, the sound is gone. (It's not set to “Mute” or the volume to 0, I just don't get any audio.) When I jump to another position in the video, no matter whether with a mouse click in the progess indicator or with a keyboard shortcut, and also no matter whether after unpausing or while the video is paused, the sound will work again. [Bug 997968] [NEW] Error and stack trace on shutdown
Public bug reported: It's now the second time that when I shut down, after the normal shut down procedures there is suddenly a black screen with console output indicating some error*. The image changes every one or two minutes, apparently scrolling down in the console output, revealing a stack trace after the error. I managed to get my camera and take pictures of all screens after the first one (regrettably, I was too late for that). See attachment. * Actually, I always shortly see console output when shutting down, which is also a bit nasty, but usually there are no (major) error messages. [Bug 993989] [NEW] can't connect to Jabber account
Public bug reported: Since updating to Ubuntu Precise (before, I hand Lucid) Pidgin won't connect to my Jabber account. It gets deactivated with the message Not authorized, no further messages. It happens regardless of whether I use my old configuration or move the whole .purple folder and set the account up afresh. [Bug 946755] Re: Cannot login to domain with likewise-open under Precise Pangolin Beta
12.04 Beta 2, up to date as of today. The only issue I had was my domain account not being recognized as a sudoer. Here are the details. /etc/sudoers: %DOMAIN\\domain^users ALL=(ALL) ALL I changed it to this instead, which fixed it: /etc/sudoers: domain^users ALL=(ALL) ALL Something must just have changed, which requires a small rewrite of how we recognize AD groups in the sudoers file. In order to work around this issue in Oneiric, you can issue the following command: gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power 'use-time-for- policy' 'false' You can alternatively do the following: 1. sudo apt-get install dconf-tools 2. dconf-editor 3. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.
