[Bug 993275] Re: ambiance theme not loaded
I found that installing subtitlecomposer changes the mime database so that the type of two png files from the default Ambiance theme becomes text/x-tmplayer instead of image/png, thus gtk-window-decorator unable to load the theme. ** Package changed: light-themes (Ubuntu) = subtitlecomposer (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993275 Title: ambiance theme not loaded To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subtitlecomposer/+bug/993275/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 993275] Re: ambiance theme not loaded
Perhaps this helps to find out what happened: Yesterday after installing subtitlecomposer package, two png became unrecognizable: close_focused_normal.png and closed.png. After removing it, the two files became recognizable again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993275 Title: ambiance theme not loaded To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light-themes/+bug/993275/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 884979] Re: purging a package for different architecture may delete files needed for the actual architecture
This is a bug of libglib2.0-0 because its postrm purge removes it unconditionnaly even if the package is still installed on another architecture. Cf the extract below of /var/lib/dpkg/info/libglib2.0-0:i386.postrm if [ $1 = purge ] [ -d /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas ]; then # Purge the compiled schemas rm -f /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled rmdir -p --ignore-fail-on-non-empty /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas fi Yes, I saw the same, but I did not look after the problem deeply, so I thought dpkg is unaware of this kind of problem. Sorry for rhe bug report addressed to the unappropriate package and thanks for correcting me so fast! balazs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884979 Title: purging a package for different architecture may delete files needed for the actual architecture To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/+bug/884979/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 884979] [NEW] purging a package for different architecture may delete files needed for the actual architecture
Public bug reported: After installing adobe-flashplugin on my 64-bit system (11.10) I removed all the packages for i386 architecture. Then I purged them. After restarting the machine, the default Ubuntu session stopped working. I found that when I purged package libglib2.0-0:i386, dpkg deleted the file /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled. However it also belongs to libglib2.0-0. I supposed that the library missed this file, because after copying it back, my box started to work again. I do not know, if it is a serious problem, but dpkg should handle these cases, when there are packages installed for different architectures. May hard linking the same files prevent unwanted deletion? ** Affects: dpkg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884979 Title: purging a package for different architecture may delete files needed for the actual architecture To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+bug/884979/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 815077] Re: restart is missing from SessionMenu
I disabled the confirmation dialogues, because I know what I am doing. However sometimes I have to restart the machine, so I would like to see it in the system menu. Is there a possibility to have a dconf option whether to include it in the menu or not (defaulting the later one). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/815077 Title: restart is missing from SessionMenu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-session/+bug/815077/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 337194] Re: DVD+RW mount problems
I tried with linux-image-2.6.27-02062719-generic_2.6.27-02062719 from the mainline archives, it did not help. Finally I upgraded to Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-8.26-generic and the disks are mounted fast, without problems. -- DVD+RW mount problems https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337194 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 337194] [NEW] DVD+RW mount problems
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-11-generic I have ~30 DVD+RW disks written on my previous PC with a Sony DRU-500A. 3 of them are mounted smoothly, the others are mounted only several retries or mountable only manually from command-line after automatic mount failed. All the +RW disks written for the first time on my new Acer Veriton 7800 (with TSSTcorpCD/DVDW SH-W162C) are also mounted smoothly (even if they are written for the third time). I tried to rewrite the old ones too on my Veriton, but that did not help. I downgraded 8.10 to 8.04 with kernel version 2.6.24-23, tried two of the bad disks and they were mounted smoothly. At the end I tried them in my Dell Studio 1735 (with TSSTcorp DVD+/-RW TS-T633A) and the same disks failed. Turning off hald did not help, the error messages showed up after executing the mount command. I suspect that it is a kenel related bug. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- DVD+RW mount problems https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337194 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
