[Bug 459730] Re: rsyslog doesn't create /dev/xconsole

2017-04-19 Thread Paul Belanger
This is not fixed in Xenial, rsyslog.postinst will still install
50-default.conf, which is packaged to also include /dev/xconsole still.

Not sure what you mean. When are we expected to drop sqlite2?

If sqlite2 is going to be removed, then we can just updated the asterisk
package dependencies and remove it. Hence removing res_config_sqlite
and cdr_sqlite.

Right. It just means we have to bump Asterisk from 1.8 to 11, that is
when res_config_sqlite3 was added, when we drop sqlite2 and require an
upgrade path.

[Bug 1040800] Re: res_config_sqlite should be ported to sqlite3

2012-08-23 Thread Paul Belanger
Not sure what you mean. When are we expected to drop sqlite2?

If sqlite2 is going to be removed, then we can just updated the asterisk
package dependencies and remove it. Hence removing res_config_sqlite
and cdr_sqlite.

[Bug 1040800] Re: res_config_sqlite should be ported to sqlite3

2012-08-23 Thread Paul Belanger
Right. It just means we have to bump Asterisk from 1.8 to 11, that is
when res_config_sqlite3 was added, when we drop sqlite2 and require an
upgrade path.

[Bug 944684] Re: Error installing keystone selecting dbconfig-common and sqlite3 as the backend

2012-05-06 Thread Paul Belanger
This package needs some serious testing, from what I see dbconfig-common
is broken. Not only is dbconfig-common configuration skipped on initial
installation, dpkg-reconfigure doesn't even work.

[Bug 967195] Re: FFe: Sync ruby-rack 1.4.0-1 (universe) from Debian wheezy (main)

2012-03-28 Thread Paul Belanger
@Martin: For whatever reason, syncrequest only added the last line of
the changelog. I must have used a wrong switch. Here is a link to the
changelog[1].

Regarding testing, zero has been done by me. I'm assuming this was done
by the original person who sync'd redmine in the first place.

[Bug 920020] Re: NOT FOUND answer on OPTIONS request

2012-03-10 Thread Paul Belanger
No, I actually disagree with the debian sync of asterisk at this point
of time. Between 1.8.4.4 and 1.8.9.0 / 1.8.10.0 there have been too
many regressions. And this late in the game it would not want to go
through the process of retesting asterisk to make sure we didn't break
something new.

[Bug 920020] Re: NOT FOUND answer on OPTIONS request

2012-03-10 Thread Paul Belanger
Right, they are still open. 1.8.4.4 is a nice release, it has it's issues
however for each release moving forward something new / different breaks.
Precise being a 5 year support is not much of an issue at this point,
regardless of the regressions found we would need to backport them eventually.

Regarding the CVE's you have referenced, yes. They would need to be backported
into other releases. I plan to open up a security issue for them shortly.

[Bug 950942] [NEW] glance-registry upstart should also include 'started' for mysql/pgsql

2012-03-09 Thread Paul Belanger
Public bug reported:

If glance is setup to use mysql and mysql is also installed on the same
localhost, glance-registery.upstart should have a dependency on mysql /
pgsql too.

For example:

start on (local-filesystems and net-device-up IFACE!=lo) and started
mysql

Note: I'm not sure the correct syntax for both mysql and pgsql, maybe:

start on (local-filesystems and net-device-up IFACE!=lo) and (started
mysql or started pgsql)

Would have to test it out.

[Bug 541747] Re: undefined modules in loaded-by-default modules

2012-03-06 Thread Paul Belanger
This is different then
https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-16425, as the patches
from it are already merged into asterisk 1.8.4.4.

Still working on finding the actual problem.
