[Bug 996989] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Freezes Frequently
Spoke too soon. Freezes seem to be less frequent but they do still occur. Seems to me this is a kernel problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/996989 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 Freezes Frequently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/996989/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 996989] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Freezes Frequently
I had the freezing but mouse moving version of the system hang on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS until 8pm last night when I changed the LTS Enablement Stack to Quantal as suggested in another launchpad forum. No more freezes since then. [Bug 996989] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Freezes Frequently
I am having the same hanging problem. Mouse works but machien accepts no mouse clicks or keyboard commands. If I reboot by pressing the power button bios occassionally reports no keyboard and I have to wait a minute before rebooting. If it helps - I have power settings to go into standby after 10 mins. If the machine has hung and I leave it then it will allow me to login to come out of standby but the machine will then very soon go into a full lock up (after 2 0r 3 minutes use) Foxconn A6GMV with 3 core AMD processor 4MB RAM Ubuntu 12.04 Problem only appeared after upgrade to 12.04. Previous motherboard used to blue screen and I upgraded it. Now no blue screens but I get the hanging issue. I have noticed like the earlier post that scrolling up and down with the mouse wheel in firefox or Chrome can bring on the hang.
