[Bug 1045477] [NEW] incorrect handling of two batteries
Public bug reported: I have two batteries: one main and one extended. The problem is when the extended runs out of power and the main is still full, g-p-m triggers the action on the critical power level while IMHO it should recognize the other battery will last for more than two hours. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1045477 Title: incorrect handling of two batteries To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/1045477/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 908742] [NEW] screen backlight changes automatically for no reason
Public bug reported: When working on HP EliteBook 8540w the screen gets lighter (up to 100% brightness) and then darker (down to ~50% brightness). And it goes on and on. It's kind of annoying. I think it was not like that before upgrade to 11.10. I have the screen setting to dim the screen on inactivity turned off. [Bug 427805] Re: usb_find_devices() crashed with SIGSEGV in free()
As for realloc(). It indeed does not guarantee that it will point out to the old chunk of memory. However it does guarantee that it will copy the relevant part of the memory. Reading man realloc: The contents will be unchanged to the minimum of the old and new sizes; So that should be just enough. -- usb_find_devices() crashed with SIGSEGV in free() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427805 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 427805] Re: usb_find_devices() crashed with SIGSEGV in free()
The patch applied is actually very wrong. And it breaks for example gnokii. If you look at the code you find this: interface-altsetting = realloc(interface-altsetting, sizeof(struct usb_interface_descriptor) * (interface-num_altsetting + 1)); Which means that the structure is reallocated to add new altsetting. If you then zero the whole altsetting you zero all previous altsetting. What about zeroing just allocated space? Please see the attached patch (untested). ** Patch added: libusb_memset_altsetting_alloc_02.patch http://launchpadlibrarian.net/51646410/libusb_memset_altsetting_alloc_02.patch -- usb_find_devices() crashed with SIGSEGV in free() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427805 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 400587] Re: About window does not close
It happens also with gwibber shipped with Karmic. However it does not happen every time. I triggered it three times in the row and now it looks okay. -- About window does not close https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400587 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 431233] Re: gnokii 0.6.28.1 does't compile
I need in fact gnokii debug log. That is probably the part that was printed before the output you provided. It will give me the clue where something goes wrong. This glibc dump is black magic for me. For SMSD problem -- the same story. -- gnokii 0.6.28.1 does't compile https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/431233 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
