[Bug 1099259] Re: Display not working with Nexus 7 when docked
I have also confirmed that on Ringtail (and all latest updates) that video over USB on a second universal docking station does not work either. It looks like Displaylink support is a bit lacking in Ubuntu unfortunately. The benefit for enterprise is great if this can be made to work since universal docks are a mainstay of the BYOD trend. To be unable to bring an ubuntu desktop to work and use the full capabilities of the hotdesk environment gives bragging rights to the Windows and Mac users. This Targus docking station shows up as Bus 004 Device 003: ID 17e9:4306 DisplayLink I would be delighted to test if there are any ideas on how to get this working. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1099259 Title: Display not working with Nexus 7 when docked To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-nexus7/+bug/1099259/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1099259] [NEW] Display not working with Nexus 7 when docked
Public bug reported: I have a Toshiba Universal dock (Dynadock using USB3) with keyboard, mouse, ethernet and display attached. When I use a USB OTG cable with the Nexus 7, the keyboard, mouse and ethernet work perfectly but the screen does not. Would dearly love to get the tablet working when docked so I can potentially carry only one device. tony@mypc:~$ lsusb Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. [Bug 831604] Re: likewise-open users don’t get ecryptfs home directory
I am trying to add an encrypted folder to my Ubuntu profile. [Bug 864505] Re: [Oneiric] Cannot setup dual monitor with AMD 5870
Ok, I have a dual boot on this machine. Both partitions have Oneiric running with fglrx driver now installed. I have not installed Ubuntu updates on the second partition and the environment is working better. I only just updated the linux kernel to 3.0.0-12, confirmed no change, then fglrx to 2:8.881-0ubuntu3, again confirmed no change. Finally upgraded compiz to 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu1. Compiz crashes when I try to set the dual monitors up in amdcccle but the desktop does appear altered after it recovers from that crash. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/864505 Title: [Oneiric] Cannot setup dual monitor with AMD 5870 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/864505/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 864505] Re: [Oneiric] Cannot setup dual monitor with AMD 5870
When I reboot, each time the desktop wallpaper for the smaller monitor (1680x1050) appears fine. The larger monitor is running 1920x1080 but the desktop wallpaper appears to be the same as the 1680x1050 monitor and then repeats (as if tiled). If I run amdcccle, I can fix them to run at their preferred resolutions and the desktop is redrawn correctly but will always revert when I restart.
