[Bug 845775] Re: gnome system monitor shows network upload speed that is inaccurate
Thanks Kyle, Dmitri, that is correct, I am referring to the tooltip and the main window not matching. 1.6MB != 4.4MB regardless of whether using 1024 or 1000 bytes per KB, etc. Until recently I had only used the tooltip to track my network usage. When I confirmed it with the transfer window I saw it was off. When I checked it against the network monitor window I saw it also did not match. Many other users may just use the tooltip, so it would be helpful if the tooltip was accurate. I'm new to posting bugs here so I have remarked confirmed, but please update if I was not supposed to do that. thanks, Peter ** Changed in: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/845775 Title: gnome system monitor shows network upload speed that is inaccurate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/845775/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 845775] [NEW] gnome system monitor shows network upload speed that is inaccurate
Public bug reported: when transfering a file from local to remote host via eth0, rcp shows a transfer speed of 4MB/s. Checking /proc/net/dev confirms a transfer speed of about 5MB/s, and calculating the transfer rate from the ETA and filesize confirms a transfer rate of about 4 megabytes / second. However, when rolling the mouse over the network window of the gnome system monitor shows a speed of about 1/5-1/10 of that reported by /proc and rcp (or scp) of about 500 KB/s. gnome-system-monitor version 2.28.1-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 10.10 thanks, Peter ** Affects: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/845775 Title: gnome system monitor shows network upload speed that is inaccurate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/845775/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I think the math is right, furthermore my original comment was about the roll-over tool tip. When I open the monitor the rate is accurate but it does not match the tooltip. [Bug 439753] Re: klavaro assert failure: *** glibc detected *** klavaro: double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x08c93ba8 ***
Hi, I second (third?) the bug report. Version 1.2.1 installed from Karmic repositories, it runs fine for one user (with sudo rights) and crashes for another user. Neither one has the ~/.klavaro/preferences.ini file, however the working user has .config/klavaro/preferences.ini. After touching the file for the nonworking user klavaro runs, deletes the .klavaro directory and creates .config/klavaro/preferences.ini. If I delete this file I get the same stack trace again. thanks, Peter -- klavaro assert failure: *** glibc detected *** klavaro: double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x08c93ba8 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439753 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 281830] Re: backport of gnucash 2.2.6 to doesn't find aqbanking
Saivann, Yes, that did the trick, thanks! I thought I had installed those at some point but apparently not. Thanks for your help with resolving this perplexing configuration problem. Now that it runs it does not seem to see any of my accounts, though the v16 wizard did. I know this may be too much to ask since you have already resolved my bug, but do you know if there is a way to recover the account data, or even what file it was stored in with v16 so that I can manually view it? Looks like it is stored in ~/.banking. I don't want to have to lookup all of those identifiers again and go through the trial and error with FID, OrgID, etc... Either way, thanks for your help! best, Peter Saïvann Carignan wrote: I found the problem! Can you install libaqbanking20-plugins and libaqbanking20-plugins-qt and try again? /usr/lib/aqbanking/plugins/20/wizards/qt3-wizard is generated by the source package libaqbanking20 and it is distributed in libaqbanking20 -plugins-qt binary package. However, libaqbanking20-plugins and libaqbanking20-plugins-qt are not in the dependency field of libaqbanking20. It is in the recommends field, which automatically install only since intrepid. Auto-install of recommends field won't happen in Hardy because that means a lot of problems for a stable release like Hardy. [Bug 281830] [NEW] backport of gnucash 2.2.6 to doesn't find aqbanking
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnucash When I upgraded to hardy 8.04.1 I installed 2.2.6-1ubuntu1~hardy1 from ppa, also installed the packages from libaqbanking 3.5.1-1~hardy1, but when I try to run the online banking setup, I get a dialog which says: 'The external program AqBanking Setup Wizard has not been found.'
