[Bug 1768230] Re: Long time booting : Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to device scanning.
Used Ubuntu 18.04 in my 8 year old Toshiba Satellite L675 laptop for months without issues, progressed to 18.04.1, no problems, until upgraded to kernel 4.15.0-32-generic 2 days ago, then, same bug as described. only in my case the waiting didn't finished automatically so I had to manually hit the keyboard to obtain a message for press the Enter key to boot. I fixed it editing /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume to RESUME=none and then regenerating initramfs with sudo update- initramfs -u. Now I boot again without delays. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768230 Title: Long time booting : Failed to connect to lvmetad. [Bug 1784918] [NEW] CMake config files are in an unconventional path

[Bug 1668943] [NEW] Kernel panics and warnings with Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 and GME965
Public bug reported: During the boot sequence we see a stack trace (check the dmesg), and after some time using the computer, the kernel panics and everything hangs (see attached pic). I've tried the 32 bit version of the following kernels: linux-image-4.4.52-040452-generic (downloaded from the kernel ppa) linux-image-4.8.0-34-generic linux-image-4.8.0-37-generic linux-image-4.8.0-39-generic linux-image-4.10.1-041001-generic (downloaded from the kernel ppa) I've also tried the 64 bit live version of Ubuntu 16.04.2, plus another old distro with 4.3.2. Same result in all cases. This issue can be reproduced in another machine with the same specs (same laptop). Booting with nomodeset makes this problem go away, but the resolution is limited to 1024x768 and it's not a permanent fix, obviously. [Bug 1317108] Re: dead keys not play randomly, tildes no funcionan aleatoriamente
Beware, it may be a different problem: The bug #1317108 type _e_ instead of _é_ sometimes, and switching between windows (ALT + TAB) can be rewritten well. Your mistake is that he writes _'e_ instead of _é_ and always in QT applications, that's another older error. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1317108 Title: dead keys not play randomly, tildes no funcionan aleatoriamente To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbox/+bug/1317108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Christopher, I'm running kernel 3.19 + oibaf ppa (https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/ubuntu/graphics-drivers) Beside that, I added DRI_PRIME=1 variable to /etc/enviroment to make it default.
