#10 Well, it actually is a bug. The bug is that if you doubleclick the file, file-roller will then offer to install p7zip only -- which then will fail to open the archive. When this bug was filed (almost 2 years ago), I don't believe that particular package existed yet, and if it did it had this issue at the time. This is NOT a bug... To open password protected .7z files , you need to install *p7zip-full package* ...
