Can you please file a separate bug?  The postinst scripts have changed a
lot, so you likely have similar output, but different circumstances that
caused it.

Two more reports of this, so I'm re-opening, barely.

Everyone with this problem, please report back the output of the
following command executed from a terminal (shell) window:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

   Status: Invalid = Incomplete

i suspect that your CPU does not support some of the required flags for
mythtv on ubuntu.

can you please post the output of:

cat /proc/cpuinfo
