status incomplete assign raof I note that you've got an nv5x card (Geforce 8 or above). The 2d acceleration on these cards only works when a compositing manager is running (this has to do with VRAM tiling requirements). If you're not running a compositing manager (not Compiz, which requires 3d, but Metacity's compositing manager, KWin's XRender backend compositing manager, or xcompmgr), then this is expected behaviour for the moment. However, page keeps refreshing regularly seen as a wave from right to left. Its slow and annoying. This happens everytime i change workspace or execute anything which changes the page. If i'm in xchat it happens everytime i type or someone else types and hits 'enter' Also, i opened an avi and it crashes. Not sure whether movies should work in portrait mode or not, and i wouldn't normally look at a movie in Portrait, for that i'd return to Landscape mode, but i checked just to see out of curiosity. But certainly for Open Office to be workable in Portrait mode smooth graphics are required.
