could you perhaps elaborate on how you normally connect? Like in windows
is it a dial up connection? I'd imagine it is. And the devices that are
involved on the way e.g. router, adsl modem, etc? that'll help people
help you on this.

This is a known issue, it's not currently possible to connect to a PPPoE
connection over wireless.

There are workarounds though: you can use wired to connect, say, for a
first connection, than install and use pppoeconf, pon and poff to
control PPPoE connections manually. See
