[Bug 706818] Re: Corrupted low memory at ffff880000009938 (9938 phys) = 00000040
Seth Arnold, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Maverick reached EOL on 2012. Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue in a supported release? If so, can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux replace-with-bug-number Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing regression-release ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/706818 Title: Corrupted low memory at 88009938 (9938 phys) = 0040 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/706818/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I don't see the corrupted memory in an upstream kernel: # uname -a ; uptime ; dmesg | grep -i corrupt Linux haig 2.6.38-020638rc4-generic #201102081010 SMP Tue Feb 8 10:12:40 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux 18:46:39 up 4 days, 4:02, 3 users, load average: 0.08, 0.05, 0.07 [0.00] Scanning 0 areas for low memory corruption [1.898354] Scanning for low memory corruption every 60 seconds # ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/706818 Title: Corrupted low memory at 88009938 (9938 phys) = 0040 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
